Samsung Secure Folder

Hello MN I need some advice.
I was going through my husband phone, looking at pictures on his gallery (with his permission). Then I pressed the recent app, something came up as secure folder, I couldn't get into it as it needed a pin to go in. I asked him about it and denied installing it and said that it came with the Samsung phone. I insisted and then he tried a few pins which he says he uses and said it was not working. He later said to me that he managed to unlock it and gave me access t o eh secure folder. I didn't even bother looking as I am thinking, if there was anything incriminating, then he would have deleted it before giving me the phone.
Should I be worried? does anyone know anything about secure folders?
Thanks

@VirtuallyConfused

I think you're wrong about two WhatsApp's. I've tried doing this and it doesn't let you. Says only WhatsApp per device.

NomDeQwerty · 29/05/2019 08:18

No when I set up my new S10 it offered to make a dual account in WhatsApp. I think it offered the same for Messenger too.

OP I've PM'd you.

shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 08:34

@NomDeQwerty

Wow really? Jesus! Maybe on the newer models but would t you need another sim
Card? I'm not too familiar with Samsung though

shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 08:37

@stupidorparanoid

My dp has just tried to reassure me but it's day by day. Sometimes he'll bring up things I did in the past - how "suspicious" I was etc!! Can you believe? Tried to deflect but I'd say he has tried to reassure me - showing me his work diary/calendar/ showing me al the days he's taken off on hours - they all seem to be valid.
But something in the back of my mind thinks he's still talking to her. They work together and I don't believe she would just stop talking to him

NomDeQwerty · 29/05/2019 08:38

I don't know. I didn't opt for it. I suppose you could set one on your home screen and hide the other though - if you were doing something dodgy.

booboo24 · 29/05/2019 08:47

I recently deleted and reinstalled WhatsApp and it asked me about dual accounts but I took it to mean you could run Messenher and WhatsApp through one account if you wanted. I clearly am not tech savvy though!

shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 08:58

@booboo24

What phone do you have?

RantyAnty · 29/05/2019 09:11

Clearly it wasn't just a boys night out as that woman was there.

He's lying.

The mental energy this kind of bs takes up is exhausting.

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 09:37

@peppapigisdrivingmecrazy
He has uninstalled the secure folder so no way of checking but then again am thinking he must have back up somewhere.

OP posts:
stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 09:39

@rantyanty the woman wasnt there as he was out with my cousins...but she probably was out with her friends and sent him a pic of herself or could well have been an old pic that he took if her and then moved it to secure folder

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 09:40

@booboo24 I've read about this for hours and you can have a separate what's app if you have dual sim card.

booboo24 · 29/05/2019 09:47

@shakeitofff I have a Samsung S9

booboo24 · 29/05/2019 09:49

@stupidorparanoid oh God theres so many things designed to help cheaters out isn't there, how does anyone stay one step aheadConfused

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 09:55

@booboo24 I suppose I wouldn't have had to stay ahead if my H had respected his marriage vows. Or if he had the decency to tell me he didn't love me anymore and that he loves/fancies or whatever it is he feels for that woman. I would have left with my dignity intact.

Ah I don't use WhatsApp actually, but kik

No idea why you'd use WhatsApp to cheat and use it for other chatting

I have Skype in the secure folder and pics mainly.

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 09:57

@virtuallyconfused what's kik?

OP posts:
shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 10:07

Kik messenger I suppose you don't have to give our number out

Well people are usually aware that kik is full of married men because they know they're not giving their no outi suppose WhatsApp would be better cheating a sit looks like you're a "singley "

booboo24 · 29/05/2019 10:09

@stupidorparanoid Absolutely, we shouldn't have to police them, I just meant that if someone's that way inclined then its so bloody easy for them now. Mind you it's probably easier for them to screw up and be found out. Also if they're going to cheat
they will I suppose but it is so disheartening to see all the sneakybeays to go about it now

shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 10:09

I was told by three network they don't support dual sims in their phones! Not sure how accurate this is so if he's on three don't think he had a dual sim

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 10:11

@shakeitoff hes on Vodaphone.

OP posts:
stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 10:12

@booboo24 you are spot on. Technology just makes it so much easier but they have to want to do it. And he might have deleted secure folder and probably now onto something else..secret email address, secret phone, secret Facebook...the possibilities are endless!!

OP posts:
shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 10:26

@stupidorparanoid

I know so true, I've said this to a whole. Actually think of doing a piece of writing on it as it's disgusting how smartphones have given more easier access for men to cheat.

I also noticed our relationship was much better/easier 10 years ago where there wasn't smartphones and internet on phones wasn't common.

I'm not sure if you feel the same? Can I ask how your dh is with you generally? Do you have a close relationship?

stupidorparanoid · 29/05/2019 10:31

@shakeitoff all my friends think he is amazing, kind, considerate. He helps cook, clean, go out together meals out holidays etc. He calls me twice everyday at work. He doesn't question what I spend money on. I can go out with my friends any time I want. He doesn't go out often, maybe once a month.

OP posts:
shakeitofff · 29/05/2019 10:34

@stupidorparanoid

Now that is really odd. It always confuses me when they're so nice but wanting to text/meet other women. Especially as you got out together as a couple that's so important as I found because of my dps nature of work we hardly do this which i believe led him to txt ow at work. He spends a lot of time at work and I guess when he's home
It's hard for us to find time together with the kids etc

Do you have dc?

VirtuallyConfused · 29/05/2019 10:37

Kik doesn't require email or phone so very anon to set up.

My experience married men use both.
