Unexpectedly pregnant very early on in relationship!

Earlier I took a test (more like 5) and well I'm pregnant. I'm not sure how to feel, I've only been with my bf for a few months, I already have two DD's and never really saw myself having anymore. I just can't believe it, I'm on the pill but I was sick over a month ago for quite a while, perhaps that effected it. I've yet to even tell my youngest that I'm in a relationship, oldest knows but hasn't met him, the rest of my family haven't either some know about him some don't. Then there's telling him, I don't even know how he'll react

Also, just to reiterate, I am firmly pro choice; but some of the comments itt have been really shitty.

You clearly are not pro choice. You clearly have issues with abortion. Is lying not an issue for you, bearing in mind your ironically chosen username?

you see this is where you divide the wheat from the chaff.

See this is a deeply unpleasant thing to say, unnecessarily so

I agree.

I also agree that this thread has descended into the bunfight that it was always planned to fall into.

I most definitely am - but strangely enough I have a problem with someone who compared abortions and dental work + in a thread with an op who clearly had qualms.

Your statements were disgusting.

If this were RL I'd have hot footed it away from someone saying such extreme, cavalier things with trouble concealing my grimace .. you tend to forget that on these forums and make the mistake of engaging people you'd find abhorrent irl.

It's a name change I haven't bothered my arse changing from a thread I posted about a moral conundrum (pet related). So you're talking shite.

TerryWogansWilly · 25/04/2019 09:30

No, you don't have any issues around abortion.

You just prefer women who have had then to beat their chests and cry about how terrible and difficult they were.

Well sorry.

drspouse · 25/04/2019 09:32

And so many contraceptive failures happening to women who could never consider terminating.

Abortion is legal and safe. If a woman doesn't agree with it then the time to bear that in mind is before becoming pregnant. Afterwards the priority is the existing children. Will they be negatively affected.

This seems to me to be an anti-choice stance. And woman shaming.
"You should have thought about this sooner"
"You shouldn't have had sex"
"On some level did you want to get pregnant?"
"You should know better about contraceptives"
"You should have known you were going to throw up the day after you had sex"
"Won't you think of the CHILDREN because that's your responsibility as a WOMAN. You are ONLY allowed to think of your existing children. You are not allowed to think about your potential child and nor are you allowed to think about your own wishes and desires".

I had an termination for foetal abnormality and it was the worst thing I've ever endured. And I often regret it. So do what's right for you and go with your heart.

Very different terminating a wanted but unviable pregnancy to an unplanned unwanted pregnancy

goose1964 · 26/04/2019 15:44

Only you can decide. I'm anti abortion for me, the second I found out about my first I didn't even consider an abortion even though I had only been dating DH for 6 months. We have gone on to have 3 more and have been married for 30 years

LaurieMarlow · 26/04/2019 15:45

to an unplanned unwanted pregnancy

The OPs pregnancy is unplanned but it’s not clear at all if it’s unwanted.

Being bullied into terminating a wanted pregnancy could very well cause mental anguish.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/04/2019 15:47

I'm not talking about the op. I'm talking about people who have terminated and are not torturing themselves for years after
