Ending it over porn

Repeated denied use that is. He is off work today due to weather conditions (outside worker)
I popped back and found him with his hands down his pants on the sofa watching porn hub.
I've seen his phone history. He's denied it. Wasn't him. Was just looking with his mates at work. Someone sent him a link. He knows how I feel about it yet has managed to make me feel like I'm crazy imagining things etc.
I feel like I need to end things now. Together 20 years next year. The rot has well and truly set in. He makes no effort to look nice does nothing around the house and has zero ambition at all
I just feel like people will think I'm overreacting

*of the male gaze

Vanillamanilla1 · 13/03/2019 10:35

I watch porn ..hope my husband dosent leave me for it Hmm

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:37

Let's give men what they want, but call it choice, powerful, autonomy ad empowering.

Men everywhere; "HOORAY"

Crowdo · 13/03/2019 10:37

Because women look a lot nicer than men naked and people will generally react positively rather than negatively. It's not a comparative analogy.

I think this is actually about the fact that you personally can't respect a woman who is free in her sexuality. So it's easier to say that you don't like it for her sake, because she should be ashamed of her body and she must be mentally ill anyway. That's the real cognitive dissonance here.

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:38

Vanilla.

Has he repeatedly asked you not to, and you said ok, but then carried on?

If not......irrelevant.

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:41

Crowdo.

Women generally look nicer naked.......

I.JUST.CAN'T

You're young aren't you?

SirVixofVixHall · 13/03/2019 10:41

All the lols at “uptight” ..I wondered how long it would be before that appeared.
Soon it will be the whole “happy hooker” trope. 🙄

SirVixofVixHall · 13/03/2019 10:42

The yoof, they so funny. “Uptight”
snorts

Crowdo · 13/03/2019 10:43

I wouldn't say so. I'm in my mid thirties. I'm bisexual. And I would say that women have nicer bodies than men. That's not a bad thing. What's wrong with having a nice body?

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:44

I wish these free and liberated women would look behind the western bubble and see if their 'powerful' 'autonomy' 'expressing sexuality' applies to 90% of women in the sex industry.....spoiler alert......it doesn't.

hdh747 · 13/03/2019 10:45

Because when a woman takes her clothes off and performs sexually, men are looking and thinking, 'what an inspiring, powerful, free-thinking woman that is. She really makes me feel respectful '
Yeah right

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:48

Where did i say therewas anything wrong with having a nice body?

I was amused/bemused at your comment that the reason some of the most powerful/richest men in the world don't take their clothes off to achieve that power, is because 'women have nicer bodies'.

Can you see how naive that sounds? And why someone might think you are young?

Do you know who earns the most money in porn?

Crowdo · 13/03/2019 10:50

I think you'll find there are plenty of men out there who can watch and support women in sexual acts without being unable to respect them afterwards. What about the burlesque industry? Do you know anyone who performs? There are men involved, participating as part of a double act, or in the audience, and they are perfectly respectful and kind. Sex isn't automatically degradation.

BertrandRussell · 13/03/2019 10:51

“I think this is actually about the fact that you personally can't respect a woman who is free in her sexuality.“

You think that women in porn are “free in their sexuality”???

GoldenWonderwall · 13/03/2019 10:54

I couldn’t be with a man that watches porn. I don’t care if other women think I’m a prude or whatever - you can have the men that watch women being hurt and wank off over it of an afternoon with my pleasure.

There is some ethical porn I believe but the idea that’s the majority that’s freely available on pornhub is laughable. How other women can watch something and not know that they’re not watching someone being raped or filmed without consent is beyond me. Where’s your empathy? What if was you and millions of people were wanking off over your extreme distress and pain? Or wanking off over your consensual sex but not consensual filming or photographing? You’re far more likely to be the victim in this scenario than the happy hooker, empowering herself by selling images of her fanny on the internet and making tons of money from nice respectful men.

Crowdo · 13/03/2019 10:54

I don't think any women in the tech industry take their clothes off either. It's not part of the job. Of course Bill Gates and his male and female contemporaries don't strip for money.

My point is that women do it more often than men because there isn't a market for men to the same extent.

SirVixofVixHall · 13/03/2019 10:57

“ there isn’t a market for men to the same extent”
*muses over why that could be
*realises it must be because women have “nicer bodies”

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 10:59

Crowdo

Would you like to visit porn hub and tell us the top ten 'titles'?

Porn IS degradation.

Did you read the pornstars own words that I posted earlier? I actually have 5 more of them but for some reason it won't let me attach any more.

Look. If you want to wank over porn, film yourself bending over for validation that males find you attractive.....fill your boots, but you need to own that you do that whilst knowing that rape, coercion, abuse, and manipulation is rife in the porn industry.

The answer to my question is; the producers make all the money. Like...multi-millions. Guess what? The big producers are MEN.

There seems to be a theme here........

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 11:00

Why isn't there a market?

Cocolepew · 13/03/2019 11:02

It was be a dealbreaker if my DH watched porn. The 'all men watch it' isn't true, how can you prove that? You know mine and other posters DHs better than we do?
He was a teen in the 80's and I'm sure he saw sex videos and looked at Playboy etc.

I've know him for 25 years and he has never watched porn in that time.
He's perfectly capable of having a wank without porn.
I was wondering how long the uptight argument would appear Hmm.
Couples can have a good sex life without watching some woman being abused on film.

Crowdo · 13/03/2019 11:03

I don't go on pornhub. It's not my cup of tea. But I don't look down on people who do.

Of course I know what's on there. The same as I know that the car I drive is choking the earth's atmosphere and contributing to the death of all creation. I don't go around sneering at other people in vehicles because they aren't saints travelling busy bypasses in bare feet to save the world.

BertrandRussell · 13/03/2019 11:06

Crowdo. Do you care what happens to women in the porn industry?

Cocolepew · 13/03/2019 11:09

These comparisons are ridiculous 😒

Sassandfaff1 · 13/03/2019 11:09

Crowdo.

You commit quite a lot of logical fallacies in your posts.

In this porn scenerio, you are the destroyer of earth with a big guzzling diesel car, arguing with the barefoot people for your right to keep the car.

You see that, right?

VirtuallyConfused · 13/03/2019 11:10

Wow, some of you have very weird ideas about women's sexuality and interests.

Would a woman want to have a sexual experience with men online, for their own pleasure and gratification? Of course!

Why do you think women have affairs? For the conversation?

Sex is not a commodity that women give up to men, it's something they seek out and enjoy.
