I'm fucking fuming. I posted recently
About dh's suspect WhatsApp activity. It all stopped but I have been keeping an eye on his phone. This afternoon when he went to the toilet I clicked his apps and saw messenger was open. I've just had the chance to snoop again while he's in the shower and found messages between him and our friend (we aren't that close with her. - well I'm not). Loads of sexual stuff. I just added myself to the conversation and said 'wow I don't see that coming'
I'm upstairs now. Neither of them have read it yet.

She says it’s a FB chat in the name of the thread. If you’re added to a chat on FB you can see all the messages, even before you were added.

I misread it too. OP mentioned WhatsApp but actually the messages she's talking about were on Facebook messenger, per the thread title and as in the first post. The mention of WA has confused the issue.

There was no WA in last night's thing, she just mentioned she'd been suspicious before about her WA use which is why she looked after his phone, then saw FB messages once there. I think it all happened on FB from then.

And for what's it's worth if the FB account was also logged in on an iPad well as phone you absolutely can add yourself and see all previous ... however opening post clearly stated, issues over his WhatsApp but that seemed to have died down and they were now on FB and he was in toilet having a slow wank and left phone on the bed.....as you were!!!

So did he put he was going for a slow wank then left his phone out ?
Otherwise how did he type that he was having a slow wank while not having his phone?

Because if he took himself and his phone to the shower OP would have been suspicious, my guess is he muted the conversation but told OW he was off for a shower aka a slow wank

@combatbarbie Yes that was my understanding but you put it better!

I think some posters are suspicious because OP hasn't been back. Understandable she is not going to be thinking about MN after the initial 'rush' of her discovery and the actions she immediately took. She has a great deal of emotion to deal with.
