Guys selling drugs build up their customer base over time through word of mouth. They don't get a mate to help them, they're not standing on street corners. Unless your DP already had a sizeable base he would be of no use whatsoever to the friend.

I reported someone for growing cannabis around his very young children very recently. I gave total specifics about him and the situation. NOTHING got done about it!

My DH had something of high value stolen a couple of months ago. The police have had 3 separate opportunities to go and retrieve the stolen property where we provided them with lots and lots of proof and set up a meeting with the new "owner" of the property. NOTHING got done.

The police aren't half as good as people on MN seem to think!

Ok, I was on page 37 of this thread when someone suggested words to the effect of, if you don't like the responses you're getting about the drugs, just name change and tell the story again leaving out the drugs - in order to elicit sympathetic reactions!!!!

If he hasn't a history of being involved in drug-dealing, wouldn't the OP have blurted out something like " Who the hell would you know to sell any drugs to??? Old Mrs Watson the widow who lives down the street???

How would that even have been a go to lie, if it didn't have some plausibility - it seems to me that she knows that's one of the things that he does.
