Long time lurker, this is my first post, it’s great to see how you are all getting along!

I was just wondering if anyone was having a similar problem to me.. I start chatting to someone it goes well, they ask me on a date, we plan it etc and then they go a little quiet, I don’t really mind this that much, I prefer to meet in person before talking on texts for too long, but then they either never speak to you again or come back and tell you they can’t do this date (and don’t plan another one) or just tell you they aren’t interested anymore, but don’t give you a reason.. it’s happened to me 4 or 5 times in the past month or so.. it’s just getting very fustrating, is there something I’m doing wrong?

Star - how long is it between setting the date up and actually going on it? Is there a possibility the gap is too long and they're meeting others in the interim? Wherever possible, I like to chat, setup date, go on date all within a day or three - strike while the iron's hot, so to speak.

Kinunir - this is all usually within 4/5 days I’d say, first 2 days chatting and plan the date (usually takes a couple of days for me to be free) and the third day chat a little but not a lot, next day no thanks see ya later 😂 I agree with striking whilst the iron is hot, in my view nothing worse than just chatting and chatting then meeting in person and they don’t fit the idea of what you had in your head! That's very true about expectations Star. I don't know what you are looking for from dating but perhaps them bailing out is not a bad thing - you've filtered out those that are not serious without any effort.
