Currently at work doing overtime. Will finish at 3 and then off to see DP's brother and sister in law.... Tomorrow I'm going out to lunch with one of my best friends. We are going to a pub I used to go to with DP. I haven't been in since he died. Im trying to start going to places I used to with him. It's difficult but needs to be done...

Afternoon all.
Managed to get to hosp in plenty time. Now on 4 days of high dose sterioids and pills to stop them giving me an ulcer😁 then back to hosp next week. May need another week of steroids. Fingers crossed i dont, they taste vile😀

Had to go collect ds1 as because he has his last exam tom' he is supposed to stay home and study today or spend time in that subject class. But his teacher is prepping for the exam (drama) so not available. Stupid exam is in afternoon after school actually finishes so will have to go twice to collect them.

Off to work soon. Had 40 winks earlier so hopefully refreshed and ready for it not😀

84 i have no doubt it will be hard but it says a lot about you for doing it. Hope it goes better than you probably are imagining.

Oh no willow sorry that they taste awful. Hope they work. Exams sound badly arranged.

We've mostly survived the day. Now just to get bread and milk, collect DD from her friend and serve fish and chips for tea.

Fingers crossed that you don't need more next week Willow, and v poorly arranged exams.

Nice to meet people and do things 84, but sometimes places can trigger memories and be hard.

Work for me today, I brought cakes on the way in for my birthday but just had a small bit and put some in my drawer to have tomorrow as I'm doing a v low calorie day today.
I've only been off for 2 working days yet seemed to have so much catching up to do. In again tomorrow and will hopefully get more on my list done.

Just relaxing at the moment having had an early tea as I didn't have lunch. Will walk Charlie in a bit and need to catch up with some ironing.

I've been messaging with the OLD guy and last night we chatted for a good couple of hours after I got home from bridge club. He seems quite keen but I'm just seeing what happens at the moment, looking forward to dinner with him at the weekend though.

Willow - can you treat yourself to something straight after the pills or would that make it worse? I will hope that they work , and don't need next weeks course. Poor you and DS - school is running you ragged!
MrsJ - jealous - I love fish and chips, DH doesn't ( to be fair they give him terrible indigestion...)
Chasing - how good are you, buying cake and not eating it! Work aways piles up doesn't it , the elves don't come in the night and sort it - if only!
Had a lovely day , hair sorted then off to shopping, DH made tea, so I have done very little . . Do hate putting shopping away though!

Sounds like an easier day book, apart from putting the shopping away.

Just picked up sandals from collecting point and walked Charlie.
Trying them on now and really like the black ones and very comfy - but the ankle strap on one is longer than the other (and non adjustable as they are then elasticated around the back) so it's all gappy. Wish they were buckle ones.
The beige / gold ones are okay, although not as totally comfy. Just need to decide which out of the 4 - 2 size and 2 widths - are the best fit.

Gold/beige ones not comfy to walk in, rub in odd places. How annoying!

I hate putting shopping away to Book.
Work non stop late finishing. Am shattered was do muggy no air at all. Wonder if overheating is a side effect of tablets must check😀
Sitting waiting for ds2 to come out of cadets he left his form at hone do had to stop off and get it tben oil light went on in car so had to top up. Everything conspiring against me tonight😁

I have to dissolve the pills and take 5 at a time yeuk. Did have some juice but didnt take it away completely. Might try fresh orange tomorrow morning.

I was having both types and now I don't think I'm having either. Annoying.

I had salmon, veggies and quinoa everyone else enjoyed their fish and chips.

Shame that the sandals aren't right. That's the most annoying thing about shopping.

I love salmon too - not quite so keen on quinoa. I was going to tell you what we had, but Chasing has made me feel guilty !
I think that's the side effects of just about every pill - its a cover all I'm sure Willow !
I have just turned my eye inside out doing some fancy knitting, so am now giving my brain and fingers a rest .

DS had such a bad night - asleep at 7:30 and awake again by 8 think it was the heat/humidity, and restless all sodding night and awake at 5AM! He ha swimming and gymnastics today - lord help me!

I woke at 5 as well Mrsj but fell asleep again till 6.00 and didnt drag myself out of bed till 6.30 so according to you I had a long lie!

Been motoring along this morning.

Checked houses avail but nothing new.
Cut the tulips all down, and deadheaded, wattered plants at the gate. Still got dahlias to plant and spied a couple of aquilegias that are growing in 'my' other border so am going to dig them up!
Tore apart 3 old daily diaries for recycling, have the trug of stuff ready to take to recycling centre when I pick up ds2 and some other stuff.
2nd load of washing on and washing distributed

Even got ds1 out of bed eventually to help. And have told him I want any other clothes that dont fit brought down so I know what he needs for the hols (only 4 weeks away!!)
Have got organised and have a bag for non perishables/loo rolls etc to take with us in my now half empty wardrobe
Another drawer has toiletries, wash cloths, ruckshacks, shower macs etc.

Ineed to go through my summer stuff and see if anything still fits too.

Need a cuppa now Why is there always so MUCH to do? Still need to do actual housework. living room is a tip and floors need doing. Arghghghghg

Ds1 actually hoovered living room left hoover sitting there why?

just having 5 minutes sit down after ironing . Was at the allotment most of the morning, so I am going to have an hour with my crochet before getting on - its very sticky here, but cloudy.
MrsJ - you poor thing , hope you can manage a few minutes peace and quite for yourself.
Willow - you are on fire! - what on earth would you be like if you were well???
Chasing - hope they haven't already gone in your size ( that is usually me - I mull over stuff, then go back too late)
I have another load of washing to hang out - went in a bit late today, but so warm I'm sure it will dry :)

Back from town ds1 not impressed at first he couldnt go home after exam but was ok once there. Got bits we needed except short pjs for ds1 and bits for holidays. Had coffee and black cherry muffin yummm.
Its 20° n9 wonder i was roasting. Tried on more of my summer stuff and kept some on to go out in! Must be hot😁😁

Have cried at work - it would have been our 2nd wedding aanniversay today .
I'm excited about tomorrow night, and unhappy about John being dead. Such is life.
Going over to my parents for tea and need to buy some hen food on the way as have just given them the last.

Had a lovely day out. Then came back to Wilfred messaging me. There is a girl in the same house as him who keeps threatening to kill herself. It upsets poor Wilf. I then of course feel I have to ring the support staff because sure as eggs are eggs the one time I don't she will actually do it.
She has been banned from most of the local FB chat pages and I've asked admin to ban her from this one. People try and help her. She has similar problems to Wilf and has been sectioned before. She posted fake pics of slashed wrists last time. The other problem is they live opposite the beach and she's been found there before. I really do not need the hassle!!
