84 Has she not got anyone else like family? It gets wearing after a while dealing with the same stuff when you know its all pretty much attention seeking bs. Poor Wilf, he really needs to find a way to block her out somehow, its not his problem to deal with bless him.

There hasn't been time to stop but it's been a good day. Once DS is asleep I have said DD and I can watch HP movie 7 - will struggle to stay asleep.

It's been frozen pizza here book Doesn't come easier than that though I had to chop up cucumber and scoop out hummus to ease the mum guilt.

Just to join in the sandal debate. Not as expensive as Clarks definately downmarket but the comfiest sandals i have ever had and this is my 3rd year of them. £6 in Primark! I looked for new ones last year but they didnt have a nice colour in my size😐 (wouldnt inflict my terrible toe nails on you they need a bit of attention😉)

They do look comfy willow .
Basically I need to go shopping!
My old ones were Clarks, but end of season sale.
Those pink ones are £40 atm as 20% off, which seems ridiculous as they wouldn't even be every day wear.

They have some padding on soles too so very comfy. Plus with my awkward feet the zip up the back is great for non slippage and keeping them in place.
Thats a bit steep for sandals you wouldnt get a lot of wear out of.

Horse have no idea. Keep checking emails but no word yet. I suppose they will call if they have anywhere to offer me.

Good morning all. DD and I watched until 9:45 - very late for her. Then I waited till I'd heard from DH who was out with a friend, so very short night when combined with DS waking at 5:30. We're off out to Lego so now rest for the wicked.

I like those sandals Willow but nothing wrong with spending a bit more Squirrels as I bet they will last years - so both good as long as they fit.

I agree book I know my mum worries. Hope you got some sleep too.

When does DS finish uni Horse? Hope you make the most of the quiet weekend - sometimes you need one like that.

Hope things are calm for Wilf now 84 and you are OK too.

Sorry missed the stuff about the girl at Wilfs place yesterday 84, of course you worry about him. Hope things are okay.

Quiet day yesterday, went and got hen food after work then over to my parents for tea. Took Charlie and then went for a walk in the fields around the next village with a friend on the way home. Then watched a bit of tv and sorted out some cd's onto my car music flash drive, couple of new ones I brought myself from musicals and some old ones of John's I'd found.

I've been looking forward to tonight more and more and now I'm not sure how I feel. Been chatting online quite a lot the last week or so, but didn't last night as he said he wouldn't be available and ibwas out anyway - plus I was quite down, due to wedding anniversary. And I've got no idea what to wear - I'm rubbish with clothes and live in jeans and tops outside of work.

Morning all
Just back from doing a bit at the allotment. It is supposed to be raining, but it isn't - just occasional bits of fine drizzle - just enough to not hang washing out of course!
Willow - could it be the steroids that means you are not sleeping, or just heat and stress? Wichever, hope it improves, it makes life hard not getting enough sleep - I don't know how MrsJ does it.
Chasing - it is hardly surprising you have a bit of cold feet syndrome - its a big leap of faith/courage to go and meet up with someone you haven't met. I would wear something comfortable, that you feel nice in - thats the only parameters :). And have an exit strategy - maybe someone to ring you an hour in so you can bail out if need be

That's just not enough sleep willow, hugs. As book says maybe a side affect.

It's the 2nd meet up book, I went to the 1st one fully prepared to duck-out early.
This one is dinner, I've been looking forward to it and seeing him again and don't think I'll be wanting to leave early.
It's just ... hard 😥.

Very overcast here earlier but brightening up now. Took Charlie for a walk with a friend but only 20 mins as her bulldog can't really do longer. So then carried on with him myself and took him swimming.

Poor Wilf's just lost another piggie. Casper had teeth problem. Wilf took him to the vets this morning but he had a fit and died this afternoon....

Ironing done, tea and dishes done. Stripped my bed and bundled up my duvet to get dry cleaned. Dont need it in this damm heat.😀 and got my patchwork if i need more than duvet cover on.

That's a long shift willow, hope you are getting a good night's sleep.

I stressed about what to wear, chose something out of my wardrobe then went shopping! Partly cos I felt like making an effort and partly to take my mind off it and stop me stressing. Didn't get home until 5.20pm and then had to leave by 6.20pm so no time to stress getting ready.
Don't think I've properly gone clothes shopping for about 18 months (picture is me on the way out this evening wearing new dress).
Had a lovely evening, will definitely be seeing him again.
And think dating post loss is seriously fucked up, no idea where it might lead, but it's making me smile and at the moment that's enough.
