Teeny walk cake - lol.

Ah willow that's a pain. I'd recommend trying your local Facebook selling pages, you won't shift everything but I've had a lot of success (sold the 2 yr 11 jumpers I brought via there for the same price within a couple of days) and usually at better prices than you'd get at a car boot.

@BonApp I'm sorry about your dad and appreciate your post. I hope that his last days are as easy as possible and you all have strength for the time ahead x

Weather improved enormously, was overcast and drizzly first thing and beautiful again this afternoon.
Went to the village fete with ds1 this afternoon and as per usual he wasted his money on the bottle tombola and won a bottle of wine and one of apricot brandy.

Then popped to town to pick up an order and brought some sandals, then saw these Clarks ones that I liked as well and now not sure whether to get them instead.

Collected ds1 from archery on the way home and contemplating tea.

These are the ones I did get, nearly got them in tan for everyday but decided on the cream.
If I swapped them for tan I could get the pinky ones below....

I don't do style and fashion - I do comfort!

Squirrels well I like both so no help at all! Think I would prefer the cream to tan though but if they are for everyday and you get both...
We love a tombola in this house, ds's are usually luckier than me though and occaisionally get me a bottle of wine. Ds2 got my Xmas present once, some smellies Smile

Getting pretty cold now have put the fire on. Lovely light outside, that 'unreal' brightness you get now and again. Mist comming in from sea on way back from town but hasnt reached us yet.

Going to try the facebook pages for the big stuff first. Then try another day at home. Car boots round here are hopeless. People want something for absolutely nothing. Hardly worth the cost of the pitch.

Just shed some tears. DP's beloved cat was rehomed after he died. I was unable to have her due to the dogs. One of the vet nurses at DP's daughters work gave her a home. DP's daughter had to feed her tonight and took some videos and photos.... While Im happy she is settled it's made me feel so sad as I had her for almost two years.... Sad

Chasingsquirrels · 26/05/2018 20:00

Hugs 84. Memories and tugs just come out of nowhere don't they x

I preferred the cream to the tan as well Willow, but think the tan would be more practical for day to day and I think the pinky ones (which are more of a blush/nude colour than pink) have the edge over the ones I got.
Been browsing online for different tan ones and quite like these.
Really do need new sandals, current ones are probably 6 or 7 years old and we'll past their best!

I prefer the black strap ones. But obviously your choice. Grin

84 Aww thats a bittersweet hit isnt it? ((hugs))

DramaAlpaca · 26/05/2018 20:17

Hello, hope you are all well.

I saw the thread in Active & thought I'd stick my head around the door to say hi as I haven't been in touch for a while. All's well here, busy as usual.

Hope you don't mind me popping in every now & again. I know I don't post much here these days, but it's nice to read & catch up every so often.

I think it's amazing that from such sad events last year such a wonderful supportive thread has grown. You're such a lovely lot Smile

Chasingsquirrels · 26/05/2018 20:29

I found a 20% code and ordered both Willow.
Well I actually ordered 4 pairs of the gold ones - 2 sizes and 2 widths for fit. The black ones were out of stock in the wider fit and 7's in the normal fit so I've just ordered the 1 pair of them. Obviously at least 3 of the gold ones will be going back!
I hardly ever spend money on myself and and when I do I kit myself out. If I like these then I'll have 3 different styles and won't be buying sandals again for a few years (which is good as I hate buying shoes).

Hello drama, lovely to see you x

Evening!
Willow - hope you sell more on fb, but at least its ( sort of) sorted what you need to get rid.
84 - poor you and cat - these things do trip you up don't they. Have a lovely time with Wilf on Tuesday .
BonApp - support through the tough times will help, hopefully , and you will be there too - strength to you and your stepmum.
lovely to see you Drama - nice to hear things are okay - hope you boys are good too :)
MrsJ - not surprised the hips are sore, DH and I used to go walking a lot, but never did much more than about 8 miles over countryside ( with a sit down for a picnic lunch half way as well! ) .
Chasing - I really like the pink Clarks ones - nice enough to wear to go out in IYSWIM, and like the plain beige ones on your last post too.. I hate buying any sort of shoes . I found a fabulous design of sandals and bought a pair every summer religiously ( while still wearing the previous years of course) and then the blighters stopped making them . My shoe shop were aghast too - it was a best seller for them. So I am constantly looking for suitable ones. I am road testing some slightly frugly ones atm- comfy, but not pretty , sadly ...

MrsJonesAndMe · 27/05/2018 06:23

Hello all

That was a short night... body feels better though. We're off to watch Peter Rabbit at the cinema this morning and then want to clean out my car.

Squirrels I like the sandals. Hope some of them fit. I also hate shopping. Is it your birthday today? Happy birthday Cake

Grrr Willow hope you get some stuff sold quickly.

84 I'm sorry you were so sad.

Lovely to see you Drama

sorry to hear about your dad BonApp

book hats off for walking that far regularly. Not my idea of fun Wink

Catch you all later x

84CharingCrossRoad · 27/05/2018 07:19

Morning... Off to take Bumble to the animal service at church this morning. I have to tell people what Mr B means to Wilf and I. Then to work....

Chasingsquirrels · 27/05/2018 08:40

Morning all.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the hens are clucking - one of them has just laid an egg and they had no food, have sent ds2 to feed them - and I am 46!
Yay, Happy Birthday me!

Thanks cake, hope you enjoy Peter Rabbit, is that a kids club showing or is it still new out?

Enjoy the animal service 84.

I think I really like the pink sandals too book, I only had a quick glimpse as I was just in town to collect a parcel and had to pick ds1 up on the way home. I do like the cream ones I got as well, just the pink ones are that bit more delicate and pretty - I am SO NOT a delicate a pretty person Smile. Decisions.

The boys came in this morning singing Happy Birthday (well ds1 was mumbling so I told them to start again and sing properly!) and with an orchid and my favourite chocolates (I have trained them well).

My mum has got me a new bag, identical to my old bag which is quite worn. John brought it for me a few years ago, although he didn't chose it - it was identical, although in a different colour, to my previously bag. I do like what I like! We are going to see them for Sunday roast and no doubt birthday cake later this afternoon.

book the boys are great thanks. The older two recently moved out to share a house with friends. The house is much quieter - and much less messy!
