Xpost 84 give the dad a hard stare. Idiot. Hope its not too long till you get home (and Bumble gets a pee😀)

84CharingCrossRoad · 29/05/2018 21:04

My lovely neighbour is coming to collect me. I don't drive and mum's not keen on night drives...

MrsJonesAndMe · 29/05/2018 21:41

Hope you and bumble are home safe and he's had a pee Grin

Willow What are you watching? Cell was on the movie channel the other night - thought of you. I didn't watch much of it, but DH said it was OK.

bookbook · 29/05/2018 21:59

Evening all
84 - hope you are safe and sound now.
Willow - all fingers and toes crossed for you! You sound exceedingly organised!
MrsJ - motoring on the crochet :)
A bit brain dead tonight. Ended up having a busy day yesterday - DH and I sorted out shed and greenhouse in the heat of the afternoon, after I had been to the allotment in the morning so was shattered ( I hate the heat - it wears me out and don't sleep well ) . Then today have had DGS - lovely but tired out now, so slobbing this evening with some very easy crochet .It has cooled down thank goodness , so hoping to get a good sleep and back on an even keel :)
Sleep well all

Willow2017 · 29/05/2018 22:15

Watching 'The Split' not a happy bunny now.😠

Watched 'The Cell' have never seen it before. It was good except the end was very annoying

No wonder you are tired Book i would say have a lazy day tomorrow but dont think you know how to😀

84CharingCrossRoad · 29/05/2018 22:31

Now in bed with tea, custard creams and Bumble!!!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 30/05/2018 06:41

That's a busy day book

Catch up with you all later

Chasingsquirrels · 30/05/2018 07:52

Glad you got home safely 84, I posted yesterday when you were stuck on the train but I don't know what happened it!

You sounded worn out yesterday book, a restful day today?

I was talking to my friend about the v low calorie days cake and she said the same. I suppose I just decided I was going to lose weight, having previously just thought I should but not actually doing anything serious about it and meanwhile slowly putting more on.
The 5:2 really works for me, no you can't each v much on a fasting day, but I just think "Well I can have xyz tomorrow", sometimes I do and sometimes I don't but a 1,000 calorie deficit twice a week allows for some indulgence on other days and still results in weight loss as long as you aren't gorging the other 5 days.

Went swimming with the boys and a friend and her kids yesterday. There was a 45 minute swim for £1 session so we went for that. Just right to have a decent swim and a lot cheaper than the normal prices.
I really enjoy swimming and whenever I go I think I should make it a regular thing, and then don't.
Looked at the timetables and there is a £1 session on Friday afternoons which would fit okay for me with work and the boys so I'm going to try and do that.

More sorting today willow?

I hope @SelenaValentine is okay. Thinking of you x

Morning all.
Disaster struck this morning 😀
Woke up thinking it was early as usual and when i checked phone it was dead as charger had fallen out so no alarms. Checked ds2s phone...8.35😲😲
Argghh. Kids to school then straight to surgery to get my blood taken. Not good for you all that rushing around yelling at ds1 to get a move on.

Having cuppa then shower and off for my coffee and food shop. Need to put money on kids cards first so they can get lunch😀

Hopefully time for more sorting later Squirrels.

Pc had a hissy fit yesterday. Ds1's background picture came uo on my pc...tried resetting it and my usual photo is huge and cant adjust it like i used to. Ended up changing password on Microsoft now my phone calender wants me to sign in but wont acceot new password and needs to send code to my virgin media email address but i cant get my virgin media emails on my phone now for some reason it only brings up my name and area and blooming box saying offers are not available for existing customers. Wtf is going on? Mine and ds1s microsoft accounts are apparently linked and i get his flaming you tube lists, his gmail, and now his bloody profile on microsft and fb. Think i need to galmi to fix it all.
Go away world i dont have time for this crap.

MrsJonesAndMe · 30/05/2018 14:11

Argh, hope you're a bit more sorted now Willow Luckily I've married someone who can sort all IT related issues Wink

Squirrel that sounds really good, but I just have zero willpower Blush Swimming is great - I used to go regularly.

Hope you have recovered from your ordeal 84 and that you're having a quieter day book

I've managed to entertain everyone, get to the PO with Woolly hugs squares and a Father's day card and do some cleaning!

Yoga later when things go quiet. Catch up with you all.

Willow2017 · 30/05/2018 15:26

Nope!
Couldnt get on my computer at all when I came back from shopping! Managed to do so now but not happy with it playing up, might need to get pc people out again.

No time for sorting out, been sorting washing, dishes and the like and now off for kids. Might do some later.

Willow2017 · 30/05/2018 16:06

It got worse i couldnt even get on when i got back but ok now. Need to get pc guy again and get to bottom of it.
Its wine o clock methinks😀
No time for sorting. Sorting washing, dishes, and swearing at pc, put tea in oven then time for school run!

Willow2017 · 30/05/2018 16:12

Smile ds2's cadet boots have arrived and he is stomping around in them chuffed to bits. Thankfully they fit! Now just need to measure every inch of him for this blooming form Grin

Chasingsquirrels · 30/05/2018 16:58

Good news on the boots Willow, not so great on the pc.

Sounds like a busy day cake, and reminds me that fathers day and the boys dad's birthday are fast approaching. Plus I meant to get ds1's picture taken for his new passport this week and they are going to their dad's tonight.

Nice walk with Charlie and ds2 this morning and a generally lazy day. Ds2 now at rollerskating but friend has taken as I take her daughter in term and ds1 gone to help a friend dad with some labouring to earn some cash. Need to think about tea then am out at bridge tonight.

Oh dammit. Just had a phone call from my haemotologist. My bloods this morning are down to 26 so i have to go to hosp tomorrow at 10 to see him and start steroids. Bugger!

84CharingCrossRoad · 30/05/2018 18:22

Had a relaxing day off today. Went to the garden centre with Mum. My best friends Mum was there with her grandson so we all had a coffee together. I made a banoffee loaf before we went out and then after lunch we went to Jack's grave and then to see my aunt and step uncle. Then on the way home we heard Angels on the radio. I always look for little signs and I feel that was one.
Tomorrow I'm working 10 till 3 and then off to see DP's brother and sister in law.

MrsJonesAndMe · 30/05/2018 18:54

Oh gosh Willow that's not good. Hoping that the steroids does the trick quickly. Try not to think about what next too much. Hope the boys behave and give you a nice cuddle tonight. (((hugs)))

Enjoy bridge Squirrels endless to do list. Need to book myself a haircut!

Sounds like a good day 84

bookbook · 30/05/2018 19:11

Evening all!
oh Willow - I do hope the steroids help , you must be exhausted on top of all the emotional stress. ( How quickly do you find out about the house bids btw?) and you manage to keep plodding on regardless. You deserve a Star- hope the DS's are good for you.
Sounds like you are having a nice relaxing time Chasing - you are due some ! - enjoy the bridge tonight
84 - ooh banoffee loaf sounds gorgeous. I am on a virtual baking ban atm as DH says he will have to eat it Hmm - mind you, I do have a few in the freezer, and I am trying to lose some lbs to fit in the dress for the wedding, but I do love a bit of cake .
MrsJ - you have been busy, as always!
I have had a bit of a less busy day - pottered in the greenhouse, done some ironing , a quick hour at the allotment . Going to have a bath and a read, some crochet tonight.
I am having my haircut tomorrow MrsJ :) - then we are off on a big shop day , doing all the not so often basic, boring non food stuff.
I'm with you Chasing on hoping Selena is okay . Did you get in touch with Juan - please pass on my love if you do
Have a good evening everyone

MrsJonesAndMe · 30/05/2018 20:30

Not been in touch with Juan since my last update about her finding a job...

Enjoy the hair cut.

Willow2017 · 30/05/2018 20:49

Evening all.
Mrsj Kids a pia. Ds1 full of attitude having to actually dry dishes as ds2 washes them as there are too many for him to leave till dry so he doesnt have to do much at all ds2 arguing back and me piggy in middle. Neither of them 'dish washer of the year'😀

Book No idea how long it takes to hear about the houses. And i am impatient😀

Will have to take them early to school tomorrow to get to hosp in time. Wish me luck ds2 has set alarm on his phone but ds1 would sleep through the house falling down😀

Hope you are winning at bridge Squirrels.

84CharingCrossRoad · 30/05/2018 21:27

DP's eldest daughter brought these round tonight.
They are made from DP's clothes. The cat is for Wilf and the Teddy for me.
They were expensive but the lady gives a percentage to the hospice where DP died....

Feeling positive about the future after DH died
84CharingCrossRoad · 30/05/2018 21:29

@Willow do your children not have half term this week? I'm on holiday from school and enjoying it.

Willow2017 · 30/05/2018 21:41

Nope 84 we had half term already, they only had Monday off.
Those are lovely what a good idea.

Chasingsquirrels · 30/05/2018 22:20

Hope everything goes smoothly in the morning willow and the steroids help.

Sounds like you have had an easier day book. I emailed Juan a few days ago, having finally fired up my laptop yo get her email address.

Bridge was good and the 3rd week in a row I haven't cried on the way home Smile. I've played with the husband of a friend of a friend a few times, he used to play and rejoined the club about the same time as I started, we seem to be doing okay so hopefully we will pair up regularly as it's good to play with the same partner, plus he knows more than me so I can learn from him.
