Chasingsquirrels · 19/08/2018 12:53

Afternoon all
Just sat down after a scrumptious bacon sandwich.
Willow , that makes me sad, reading that . It will make you seriously ill, keeping on. I'm with Chasing and Horse - once you have moved, and in a slightly different area, you may beable to find something more suitable I hope. Mmm - the image of me pushing a wheelbarrow is not that far wrong!
Horse and 84 Grin - mmmmmmm !
Chasing - a gold DIY Star - it feels good to find out you can do these things , builds confidence with everything else. I am much of the feeling you can do most things if you put your mind to it ( especially if you want to).
MrsJ - hope all is well
Had a time at the allotment this morning. It didn't rain . I am just about to go and make soup - would you believe lettuce and pea soup is quite the thing , but I will be subversive and add courgettes :) Off then to DD1's for the afternoon and a meal
Have a good rest of Sunday everyone

Elderflower14 · 19/08/2018 15:54

I'm home again now. Managed to make a cheese and onion "quickie" and some jam Tarts!!

Horsemad · 19/08/2018 16:35

Grin at cheese & onion quickie!

Very lazy day here, DH cut the grass, I did a bit of washing & both DS didn't surface until gone midday!

MrsJonesAndMe · 19/08/2018 16:48

We had a great day. Saw the soldiers, the queen (not) and walked around St james. DS liked the fast train home best Hmm

I've had a giggle at the "quickie"

Agree with every one else Willow. Just try and get the move out of the way first.

Well done Squirrel

Willow2017 · 19/08/2018 20:20

Evening all.
Well it must be a blue moon! Everyone in good moods its a miracle 😀 and we even finished early! Quietest last couple of hours in a long time.

I will definately be looking after we get settled although have been checking my emails for job alerts and nothing suitable at all.

Good on you Squirrels that reminds me i need to put the handles on the bathroom door still.

Sounds like a great day MrsJ how was her maj?

Elderflower14 · 19/08/2018 21:17

I hid a biscuit for Bumble to find in the garden this morning. When I turned round the cheeky monkey was watching me out of the window!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Glad work went well for you Willow, fingers crossed it stays that way.

84, he's not daft, that dog! 😂

MrsJonesAndMe · 20/08/2018 07:09

Glad work was good. Happy Monday all! I'm working, then doing the airport run Sad

Elderflower14 · 20/08/2018 08:52

Today is going to be hard. I am going to a memorial service for my friends 25 year old son. I'm not sure how he died... 😪 😪 😪 😪 😪

bookbook · 20/08/2018 11:35

Morning all
Just having a quick sit down before getting on
Elder - oh , thats sad , and only 25 :(

but on a different note, I will never look at a quiche in the same light again! And clever Bumble!
Willow - at long last an easier Sunday , so hope today you are up and feeling fighting fit .

MrsJ - hard day , hope you cope through it (hugs)
I've been washing ( ironing to look forward to ) . I need to go and pick a load of tomatoes/peppers/aubergines out of the greenhouse - its roasted vegetables making into a pasta sauce day. Also have some spinach to make pesto ( I freeze it in little cubes to stir into soups/pasta etc) . Will need to pop to the allotment to water later
Have a good day everyone

Willow2017 · 20/08/2018 13:36

Afternoon all.
Woke up to no WiFi this morning! Finally got it back on (just when i gave up and unpacked my box files to get the phone number😠)
Have cleaned out my cupboard under sink and put everything in a box i dont need to use daily and washed the c'board. Done bathroom and been to shop for top up. Kids eating me out of house and home!

Cloudy but washing out fingers crossed.
Scrubbed out wicker boxes i have had sitting in a cupboard to use in new house. Hoping they will dry outside in sun.
Sitting having a bit of lunch before i find something else to do.😀

Be hard to say bye MrsJ despite everything i expect.
84 thats so sad poor parents.

Working at 4 have a nice day all.

Elderflower14 · 20/08/2018 19:21

I had a horrible jolt tonight. Went to the shop and a man walked towards me. I knew it wasnt DP but he looked and walked so like him.... 😪 😪 😪 😪
The memorial service was terribly sad. The young man's gun dogs were brought into the church.... We got there just under an hour before. We left plenty of time as we weren't sure where the church was. By the time the service started the church was standing room only.... 😪 😪

MrsJonesAndMe · 20/08/2018 21:22

(((hugs))) Elderflower - double (((hugs))) actually

We've made it through. Will check in with you all tomorrow x

Willow2017 · 21/08/2018 08:20

We are ready! Its a miracle 😀

Bit chilly and damp first thing put heating on for a bit. Nooo want sun back.

Off for coffee and shopping on my own for a change after i drop kids off. Will be strange.

Hosp late afternoon 😐

Chasingsquirrels · 21/08/2018 08:25

Hope work was okay yesterday Willow, can't believe how much you seem to have done and still not finished! Are your boys back to school next week? Mine aren't till 6th Sep, they are going camping in Devon with their dad next week.

Hard day yesterday 84, terrible for his family.

Are you okay today MrsJ? Despite the intensity of proximity it's sounds like you've had a lovely time with your parents and it must be difficult to say goodbye.

Lots of produce from your allotment book, a sign of the seasons rolling round.

Work okay for you horse?

Charlie is recovering well from his castration, in fact the next morning he seemed completely back to normal - albeit with a cone on his head, to which he seems oblivious. Check up yesterday and the wound is all okay and back next Tuesday morning when hopefully the cone can go.

I've been very low the last few days, without a marker as to why - but in reality probably quite a few things just mounting up.
Worked yesterday and off with the boys for a couple of days now. Want to DO something but not really sure what.

Did anyone ever hear from Selena? I often think about her.
