Feeling positive about the future after DH died

Just starting off before we hit 1000 on the last thread...

Morning all. I'm making a lemon drizzle tray bake to take to Wilf this morning. Then going to work. This afternoon Mum wants to go to the garden centre. Working tonight and then two days off! Yippee!!!!

Off for a walk, cleaning, ironing and a roast for us.

I need a couple of v low calorie days! Ds2 wanted to bake on Saturday so we made Rocky Road (known as Scooby Snacks in our house) and put in Malteasers, mini marshmallows, sultanas & seeds. I have been eating too many of them, plus out on Friday evening and birthday cake yesterday. My parents and in-laws over for a bbq tonight so I am definitely going lite tomorrow and Thursday or Friday.

Think I might take back the cream sandals, I do like them but the ankle strap is elasticated and because they are a wide fit they are a bit loose. They actually feel fine but they look a bit odd. I did try the 1/2 size smaller and they looked better but didn't feel as good because they weren't quite long enough. Arggh I hate footwear.

Its a washing/ironing day here as well as popping to do some allotment - afternoon is sitting and getting on with joining a blanket , so feet up :)

Morning all. We are off to visit.my aunt. Beautiful day here but not so hot where we are going typical! Will be going to carvery for lunch hope its not too busy. Also dobies no doubt which will be annoying as i cant buy plants😀

I hate buying foitwear too as nothing ever fits properly. I am sometimes one size then a different sgoe is too tight but next size too big drives me mad. Wish.they all did half sizes still.

Weather changed so was glorious 😀
Sat in garden a while went to dobies and i succumbed! Got 2 daliahs as have space in a planter😁 oh and mimi fruit flavoured meringes and bread! Had lunch at carvery but it seems to be slipping. Too long to wait (not even busy) and not up to scratch. Will go elsewhere next time.
Did succumb to 2 huge sluces of cake to bring home though (and try at aunt's house of course) as i thought with short notice my aunt had no time to bake. Ha! Came home with shortbread, iced buns, coffee/walnut buns, scones and traybake! Will need to hide them all😀

Weather stayed nice here as well Willow and we had a lovely bbq. SIL brought me a calla Lily for my birthday. Always lovely to see them but also bittersweet.

Sounds like your Aunt was busy, and all sounds really yummy!

Tears here again. DPs daughters fiancee has just posted a pic of his little girl fishing. I commented and said how much DP would have loved it and he replied and said its DP's rod and reel she is using!

Pea soup and wet here after a glorious day yesterday!
Up early, ironed and did packed lunches, then took kids to school early and then jet washed the car.
Checking emails but nothing about the houses so I guess I will have to phone again. Couple of things on Groupon I fancy for the holidays, boat trip on the Forth and The Scottish Deer Centre but will have to see what happens with house first I suppose.

Washing to sort out, might make mac cheese for kids tea to reheat when I am at work.

Just got phone call and my bids have been put in for the houses yeah! One less stress to worry about. And they sorted out the password business and I can bid online again.

Good news on the house bids Willow, keeping my fingers crossed for something ideal for you all.

Just been for a short walk with the boys and Charlie, which ended up being quite a long walk - Charlie was flagging by the end! Easy to forget he is only 7 months when he runs about like a loon.
All going swimming this afternoon, need to dig out a costume - it's ages since I've been.
I'm doing a v low calorie day, and my stomach wants food! So soup now and roasted peppers, tomatoes and onions with sweet chilli chicken for tea.

Your kids still on hols Squirrels? MIne are back to normal today start of new term/year. Enjoy the swimmiing, havent been for ages must get around to it.

Been very busy. Sorted out dry washing then attacked the utensils drawers in the kitchen, washed and decluttered then upstairs to attack my wardrobes/cupboards. Have a trug full of stuff to bin, some stuff for charity shop including a load of old jewlery after going through my jewlery box and now have half empty shelves! Have a load of box files and will try to get the contents of my filing cabinet into them and get rid of that too. Next is the c of drawers but thats mostly photos of kids and photo frames and duvet covers and sheets but as they now have double duvets I can get rid of them soon as I get a spare duvet cover each Phew!

Will be too tired to go to work! Not finished yet its all to be put somewhere till it can go to skip (bin full!) so no mac cheese tonight, will leave money and they can go get a pizza up the shop. (bad mum)

Had a look on threads giving tips for moving and its very helpful, I already have a list of people I need to tell about the move when its happening and a notebook started so am ahead of the game Any tips welcome.

Half term here Willow so off all week, with me until Wednesday then their dad's till Sunday.

Have been sitting for almost an hour now outside St Pancras. A f...ng trespasser is running through the tunnels on the high speed line with the police in pursuit. My Immediate worry is what to do if Bumble needs the loo!!!

Still sitting outside St P. Have to get across to L St and then an hour and a half to Norfolk. Those train are...... too. Poor Bumble is being such a good boy thank goodness

We've had a fairly quiet day. Just getting on with crochet square number 23/80.

We were let off after an hour and a half. People threatened to get off and walk NOT ME!!
They moved a train out and ours in. I took Bumble out for a pee. There were four sodding trees outside FOUR. Would he pee? Would he bloody hell!
Now on second train with a child scrunching a water bottle and yelling loudly LOOK HOW LOUD I AM DADDY!!! I am gulping down a can of cider eating quavers and a snickers and sobbing silently!!!

Work quiet then got busier. Luckily we blitzed the place when quiet (curry rice and cheese from sarnies all over the damm place) so we just had to hoover up any bits as we went. Mad rush to get finished reasonably on time😐 am knackered.

Waiting on my programne coming on. Last one in series its getting good now!
