Oh fucking shit. My Dad has accidentally sent me an email revealing that he is paying for sex.

My Dad has been married to my step-mum for quite a few years, she is lovely, I really like her. My Dad originally split from my Mum when I was tiny because he cheated on her.

I'm borrowing my dad's holiday home next week, so he has been forwarding me emails between himself and the hire car provider as he has organised it with a guy he knows. He has accidentally forwarded me a thread between himself and a 21 year old (vom. I'm 34) where they discuss meeting for sex and money being exchanged.

What in the name of holy fuck do I do now? I'm fucking shaking.

OP posts:

Lots of men are willing to pay for sex.

user1471552073 · 18/04/2018 17:37

Would it be OK with you if your partner did this, if it is then dont need to say anything.

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 17:43

Yes, lots of men are willing to pay for sex. All are shits in my opinion.

GertieMotherwell · 18/04/2018 17:49

Shit partners yes, but the SM knew this.

Paying for sex does not make you a bad father or grandfather.

GertieMotherwell · 18/04/2018 17:52

Obviously this puts the OP in a tricky situation but she should judge him as a father, and that’s all

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 17:53

Actually there are times that paying for sex makes you a shit father.

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 17:54

Judge him as a father who puts her in this position.

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 17:55

And shit people, people willing to pay to use another human being.

GertieMotherwell · 18/04/2018 18:04

I fully appreciate this puts the OP in a very difficult situation. Who wants to see their Dad as having sexual urges?
There’s a lot of pearl clutching on this thread.

If my DH paid for sex, I wouldn’t see it as a reflection on his ability to be a good father.

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 18:07

Putting his children’s mother at risk of STIs?

Newerversion · 18/04/2018 18:11

My dcs might disagree with you very much, their lives have been altered very much for the worse by their father’s choice to pay for sex. As much as I wish it wasn’t so.

bastardkitty · 18/04/2018 18:14

Wow - so cool....

elisenbrunnen · 18/04/2018 18:19

Yes he is a shit person.

He's cheated on 2 wives.

He's paying for sex from a woman younger than his daughter. This makes him a woman-user. And possibly a woman-hater - only 'good for one thing'.

My own dad ran off with a woman 3 years older than my oldest sister and this makes him a shit dad.

Mamia15 · 18/04/2018 18:36

Your stepmum is still young - freeing her of this poor excuse for a husband will give her the chance to rebuild her life. You will also be saving her from having to wipe his bum when he's decrepit.

GertieMotherwell · 18/04/2018 18:59

I’m far from cool 😂

Resultreturn · 18/04/2018 19:24

I thought OP was asking what she should do in terms of her SM also? Doing this makes him a bastard of a husband and actually just a vile bastard!!

Kind of defines him as a person? A bastard of one! Which covers father, husband, work colleague or whatever!

Resultreturn · 18/04/2018 19:25

@GertieMotherwell , I agree you're far from cool!

Bexter801 · 18/04/2018 19:57

@Resultreturn it feels a little bit like your in attack mode!

Resultreturn · 18/04/2018 20:00

@Bexter801 really?

Resultreturn · 18/04/2018 20:02

Actually @Bexter801 , I'd say more that @GertieMotherwell was in defence mode?

Just saying ....

Bexter801 · 18/04/2018 20:03

@Resultreturn it honestly seems that way

NotAnotherNoughtiesTune · 18/04/2018 20:16

I think paying for sex can make you a shit father because you aren't showing you respect women.

His daughter is a woman.

Ergo, shit father.

Resultreturn · 18/04/2018 20:25

@Bexter801, well we will have to agree to disagree then!

rwalker · 18/04/2018 21:19

Right or wrong you have decided not to ignore it so keep it simple return it to him and just put on it why have you sent me this .Let him explain and take it from there. There are too many possibles to spectulate

MrsGloop · 18/04/2018 21:26

It’s none of your business. Your father’s sex life; his marriage; none of that is your concern. It’s very unfortunate (to put it mildly) that you saw the email - but it still isn’t your business. Telling your Dad that you saw it will cause unnecessary embarrassment; telling your SM would be crossing the line, big time. You have no idea what goes on behind closed doors, and whether SM knows or not, once you’ve inserted yourself into the situation, everyone’s relationship will change.

Delete it, try and forget about it.
