Too I feel exactly the same way. Fed up of that endless cycle of starting to chat with someone then they disappear or you meet and they disappear. Messages get ignored.
You politely say you're not what I looking for and get abuse back.
But you keep looking because you hope there's someone decent out there.

ignoring thanks, I wish I could believe that but I've been doing OLD for a while now and only managed a handful of dates. Only 2 got past the first date.
I get lots of views and matches but very few messages and they're usually too far away or completely not my type. I don't know why I can't attract a normal, local man.

ignoring totally over him, clearly (did I actually say that? if I didn't I never really meant it, I was telling myself I was over it. I probably said next. I realise today, I didn't mean it, I had just done my usual thing of distracting myself and getting on with life. Which actually feels good.

Back tracking a bit to rounding down your age, I discovered at the weekend that my Raf fwb had rounded UP his age, he was already 7 years younger, now make that 11!!!
There's no way is entertain chatting to someone his age on OLD but we get on great, he's good company, chivalrous, generous, hot, tall and smells amazing.
Just entirely unsuitable for anything else

Can I just say that you all are keeping me sane in this crazy world of OLD. I'm laughing, feeling sad (big hug ignoring), wishing everyone well and generally feeling more normal for this thread.

Ah ignoring I'm so sorry about your dog. It's so hard but it's the final kindness you can give them. Always the hardest part of my job, I still tear up pretty much every time.
