MrsJonesAndMe · 14/03/2018 20:53

Oh no, glad you found us. Can you "watch" it again if you've hidden it?

84CharingCrossRoad · 14/03/2018 21:54

I've tried everything I've emailed hq they replied once but not again....

Hope link works.
Go to preferences in topics and you can unhide threads. Done the accidental hiding more than once!

84CharingCrossRoad · 15/03/2018 07:49

All sorted hello!!!

Chasingsquirrels · 15/03/2018 08:11

@84CharingCrossRoad if your settings haven't stopped it this will email you a link to the thread which might help, although Willow's link is probably more useful.

Been a bit absent for the last couple of days, getting back with it at work. So much to do but I'm sticking to the 4(ish) hours, actually more like 4.5 now.
Cutting back on Charlie's lunch though with a view to dropping to just 2 meals a day when he is 6 months in a few weeks.
I'm getting home around 2.30pm (leaving at 9am) and he isn't starving when he's had a reduced lunch so I'm happy with that.
Met a friend for a dog walk and chat yesterday after work which was good.

Hope you enjoy your rearranged birthday meal with ds2 horse, you must have needed the sleep.

Good luck with the baby today MrsJ, hopefully will be a bit happier.

Good on your ds2 for saying something Willow, hope things are a bit better for him.

Weather has certainly changed here, very wet out, good call by your DH on the trip out book.

Bit weird with NDN Selena, maybe he was just having an off day and you got the brunt of it. Hope the patio proceeds smoothly.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/03/2018 08:12

x-posted there 84 Smile

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/03/2018 12:38

Hi, just quickly popping in to say I'm surviving.

Good to hear from you Squirrel Charlie seems to be doing well, 6m already!

Glad it's sorted 84

Will check in with you all tonight after I've done the drama club run.

Willow2017 · 15/03/2018 12:51

Squirrels 6 months already? Time flies.

Forgot kids bus money this am (nothing to do with me constantly having to hurry them up this morning at all😉) so need to drop it off before work.
Got some bits in town for ds2 for sat tkd training. He is stressing about it. Its gonna be all day just for 2 hours training. He wants to stop doing it as he isnt enjoying it now
All this 10 mins before he had tp leave this am! I had my suspicions but hoped i was wrong. He is very happy of he cant go to training these days. Oh well will discuss tonight.
Hope you all have good day. Blowing a gale here and bitter cold.

bookbook · 15/03/2018 13:54

Afternoon all
Just having 5 minutes sit down - finished the ironing , more washing in the tumble drier too.
Scotch broth soup simmering , and going to make some apple crumble for tea too this afternoon

Rubbish day here - cold and wet non stop so far, and I am managing to feel a bit sorry for myself with a dribbly nose and sore throat - more due to weather I think , not in the least poorly in truth :). Glad we went out yesterday!
I am working up the gumption to get my big coat on, some warm socks and go and do a bit of pottering in my greenhouse. I can put the radio on and pretend its warmer than it is Grin

Hope you sort things with ds2 and tkd Willow, it is such a shame when the pressure of something they enjoy puts them off it.

Hope it's just a bit of something book and doesn't develop.

Charlie is just over 5 mo currently and we've had him 3.5 mo.

Asked my dad to come over and give him lunch today so I could work a bit later and then pop to the shop on the way home.
Then straight out again with ds2 to parent/teacher consultations (OMG they couldn't have been more positive about him, I'm used to that wkth ds1 but ds2 has always been in his shadow, well he is clearly shining, so pleased for him) leaving ds1 to walk Charlie.
Back to do the joggers run but neither of them want to go so giving it a miss and will just take ds1 to archery later.

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/03/2018 20:56

Hello all

What a busy day. Tomorrow is going to be cleaning top to bottom and then lunch with a friend.

That's lovely to hear Squirrel - sometimes younger siblings live in the shadows a bit.

Hope you feel better soon book

Argh Willow hope he makes the right decision.

Willow2017 · 15/03/2018 21:32

Evening all.
Am knackered. Staff member went off sick so just 2 of us for last hour and half. Aching all over 😀

Got back to boiler switched off as leaking again. Arghhh.

Hope its no more than sniffles Book. Did you get to greenhouse or just stay in the warm? I know which i would chose😉

Well done ds2 Squirrels.

Havent had chance to speak to ds2 yet and bit late now so will do it tomorrow. Have no minded kid but do have guinea pig check up appointment😀

bookbook · 15/03/2018 21:53

Evening all
Just a quick pop in - thanks all - not too bad, just weary. I did go and spend a n hour potting up dahlias Willow :) - can't bear to just sit.

Sleep well everyone

SelenaValentina · 15/03/2018 22:40

Nothing much to report re today. Patio being done, out with schoolfriends for meal - bit same old, same old so don't want to bore everyone to death!

Charlie nearly 6 months. Time is flying by.

Cheers to all.

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/03/2018 06:26

Good morning! Nothing like a 5:30 start on your day off Hmm

Hope the weather stays fair for everyone - apparently a mini beast from the east due???

Hope you're not too sore this morning Willow and that you feel better after an early night book

Willow2017 · 16/03/2018 07:42

Mini beast seems to be here 😀 Still blowing a gale and raining here was awful last night could hear the wind whistling round the house. Very cold too.
Ds2 has mentioned he really doesnt want to go tomorrow. Oh botheration. I dont want to force him if he really isnt enjoying it now but he has done it 5 years dont want him to throw that away. But dont want to force him into something that will trigger a panic attack tomorrow morning. Parenting sucks sometimes.

mrsj thats typicsl isnt it? Hope you take it easy at some point today. Cleaning can wait.

bookbook · 16/03/2018 08:29

Morning all
Cold, breezy and grey here , not quite a mini beast
oh MrsJ nothing but sympathy - but enjoy your lunch :)
Willow- I take it there is nothing else is going on at TKD , which is stopping him ? But in truth, if he doesn't want to go, its hard to make them .( DD2 went to rainbows/brownies/guides and was going to carry on, when all of a sudden she decided enough was enough - she has never regretted it)
Chasing great news about DS2 - its lovely to hear they are doing so well.
Going to be a bit of a duvet day here I think ..Full on head cold now -sneezing and runny eyes
Hope everyone has a good day

Book had a quick chat with him and he just feels its too much just now. Problems at school, having to do tea on sunday and be ready to be picked up, and growing pains in his hips making it painful to do some of the moves are adding to stress of being a 'senior'. Think he just needs a break to concentrate on schoolwork as the problems at school are affecting him in that respect too. Oh well will need to call his instructor i suppose.

Willow2017 · 16/03/2018 12:10

Ooohh its wild here! Battering rain and wind howling round house.

Spoke to tkd instructor and they are fine with him taking a break. Whatever he needs to do is fine with them.
Emphasised he should still go in and say hi as usual when we pick up other child.

Another one of those days sent to annoy me😀 dropped the box with gps dried herby stuff in cupboard under stairs! Got as much as i could picked up then hoovered...then hoover blocked. Taking the hose part of is a real struggle the 'push in' part is too hard i was calling it allsorts! Once it was unblocked and emptied it picked up like a dream...the same stuff!!!! why didn't it just do that in first place?
Washing wrestled with, kids beds stripped and now having cuppa and play on xbox😁

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/03/2018 15:08

OMG Willow it never ends! Hope you have a bit of a relaxation time too.

I had a lovely lunch - sitting with crochet now for the next hour.

Hope you're all ok up North then!

Feel better soon book

SelenaValentina · 16/03/2018 17:05

84, glad you've got it sorted.
book, hope you're soon feeling better.
willow, sounds like he's thought it through? I can't find the extension pipe thing to the heavy duty vac and I want to do the cleared out eaves. Grrr.
MrsJ, 5.30 presumably not your choice? It's like the middle of the night!
Here in my bit of oooop north, it's been grey, bit of rain, not too cold, now sun out so everything feels cheerful. Hopefully Beast passed us by!

Patio doing well and NDN being OK.

Have a great evening everyone.

84CharingCrossRoad · 16/03/2018 17:50

Well this week we have had a list coat which was found at work and a bag left on the bus with half his worldly processions in it. He had been reunited with both!!
No wonder im going grey!!!!!

84CharingCrossRoad · 16/03/2018 17:51

list
lost

Willow2017 · 16/03/2018 18:27

84 kids they are sent to drive you crazy 😀

Wind has died down a bit but still freezing and wet.

G.pigs are tip top so thats good. Had their claws cut (i hate doing that so fob it off on vet when possible😀)

Sea was wild, grey and churning up crashing on rocks as we went past.
Couple of idiot racers passed us on way home on duel carriage way. Weaving around on wet road, bucketing rain and mist rolling in from sea! Hope its each other they hit if it happens not some poor innocent driver

Went to mc ds as ds2 desperate to try the new grand big mac. Got home their meals in bag i had only chips!!! I will get free one next time as phoned them this time as they get things wrong on a regular basis. Lucky i had chicken left from roast so made my own 'chicken legend'😀😀

Fingers crossed weather behaves till patio finished Selena
