Selena gosh what a pratt intimidating a woman. Doesnt say much for the kind of cop he is does it? Hope its all sorted and he shuts up now.
Book even on a quiet day for you you are busy! You have the energy of 10😀

Got myself some 'calms' in town. Just thought i would give them a try so i am not feeling so stressed out on certain days at work (and might stop me wringing ds1's neck with xbox cable😀) i have been 'tapping' like a good un too Selena😉

House all calm and tidied up now. Suppose i had better start tea for kids. I dont need anything i had soup and main (only options on lunch menu, no pud😲😲😲) which i never do so still stuffed.

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/03/2018 20:40

Hope you're feeling calm now Willow

Glad to hear you're feeling like you're getting there Squirrel

I've gone for a Turkish Delight Blush

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/03/2018 20:41

Housework is soooooo boring, but unfortunately cannot be ignored.

Horsemad · 12/03/2018 20:54

Hi All

Just quickly popping in, as off to bed soon. Had a lovely but tiring day yesterday, went to see my mum ☺️ The drive is a bind though - 3.5hrs each way, I really felt ready for bed when I got home last night.

I hope Wilf enjoyed Crufts 84?

Willow, have you checked the monitor yet? Keeping my fingers crossed that this one is ok.

Your neighbour picks his times to be awkward, doesn't he Selena?! Hmm Hopefully he's got it out of his system now.

DS is home for 5wks now as his lecturers are striking this week, so no point going back and he can access everything from home.

Horsemad · 12/03/2018 20:56

Meant to say, he has his head in the food cupboards ALL the time... 😁

bookbook · 13/03/2018 09:56

Morning all
Beautiful sunny morning!
Was a bit tired last night - rushed home, straight off to meeting , then home for a cup of tea and a slump in front of the tv. Was doing a couple of small crochet bits for someone which needed finishing , so was a bit wiped .
Horse - have you bought in extra for his stay? When DD came home from uni, it was always with a big bag of washing ! But what a long day - 3.5 hours each way is some serious travelling , It's exhausting .
Selena - gosh what a neighbour - glad you had backup - puts him in a different light , and not in a nice way .
Willow lunch sounds lovely - it's a bit much though that you have work being horrid while wrangling teenagers .
MrsJ - do you have a pattern for your DD's hat ? I'll help if I can , or I have a simple beanie pattern that works well for me :)
Chasing - sounds like you are finally picking up - but don't try to do too much , you are still recuperating.
84 - hope the flooding is receding, or at least something is being done
Right, washing load in, tidy up ( how does it get like this when we are out? ) . Off to the shops/market and post office when DH is ready , then a bit of gardening I think. And the heights of joy - listening to a RSPB man yesterday, I realised I hadn't washed the bird feeders recently, so really should get that done too - tedious job, dismantling and putting them back together. Glamorous life eh?
Have a good day everyone

Morning all.
Cold and damp again here.

Bad pm with ds2 upset re his so called friends being little brats still and deliberately annoying him in class and out. And they unvited him to play on xbox last pm and they decided to play a game he didnt have (they knew) first, made him wait so he played something himself then they complained cos he wasnt ready exactly when they were so started new game without him. Why are they so bloody awful yet turn to him when they need help with school stuff?

He was so upset he was asking what he done to deserve no real friends at all and what was the point of him being here? I was heart broken for him. He is such a sweetie and has such a sense of right and wrong. His soft heart is going to be a disadvantage to him it seems. He doesnt want me to involve teachers he said he will just deal with them. (I would really like to get hold of one of them and have a stern word as she seens oblivious as to whats going on in her classroom but cant of course) arghh it's so unfair. I want a magic wand to make him not care about it all and tell them all to f off once and for all.

Upshot was had words with ds1 about his attitide towards him which isnt helping and to back off. Then went on to have long chat about films, gaming, friends, school and religion! Was a revelation 😀

Gosh Horse thats a long drive. My teen is forever hungry to. I get stuff in for packed lunches at weekend and by monday they have vanished out the fridge 😀

Selena take it easy viruses can really take their toll. Dont overdo it till you are 100% better.

Book my garden needs doing and half my pots need emptying out and refilling with new compost as they are water logged. But too cold and wet still. Re bird feeders. My big one was blown off and burried in snow so once i found it i washed it out and put it up agsin, then heard the advice about washing them...felt very pleased with myself😀 (easy pleased😉)

Need to get motovated...more housework awaits.

84CharingCrossRoad · 13/03/2018 12:45

Guess who may gave a kidney stone???
Sad thought it was stomach ache..... Have to go and have a blood test this afternoon. Doctor squeezed my back and didn't realise I could yell like that!!

Willow2017 · 13/03/2018 13:19

84
Oh hell those are sore. Did the GP jump? Grin
Fingers crossed they can dissolve it.

84CharingCrossRoad · 13/03/2018 17:38

Yes he did. Had a blood test this afternoon and have to wait for a CT scan.
This week is one of my favourite of the year. Cheltenham Festival.
Ive been twice, picked the winner at 40/1 in 1992 and the second at 66/1 in 2003!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 13/03/2018 20:23

Oh my, looks like I've missed loads!

84 that sounds extremely painful! Hope that it can be resolved quickly for you. Apparently they're worse than childbirth? Shock

That's one hell of a trek Horse Was this a Mothers day meet up? Wish I could see mine - only about 150 or so sleeps before I see them - in those 2 weeks we will need to make up for 2 years of missed occasions.

Willow it makes you so sad when your children are sad - and especially when they're too big to sit on your lap and cuddle Sad Not sure what to suggest.

book I was just following Bella Coco's video, but she did use a 8 hook with 4 wool, so I'm guessing I'd need to do the same. Going to keep going and see if I can finish it - then at least it's a practice. This is to send off for Chernobyl, so hoping that I can make something that can be used. Blush

I've had a very long and tedious day. Up and rushing about, school run, met a friend for a walk/play etc - we walked about 3m which was good. Got shopping, packed it all away, changed 2 stinky bums, school run, tea, hoovered, steam mopped and bed time routine. phew Just sat down with a scone, jam and clotted cream!

DD driving me nuts! She keeps forgetting things - from little things to quite crucial things and I've had it up to here ^^ (I'm sure her SM has too) We've made a tick list that is going on her wall next to her school bag. Wish me luck!

Willow2017 · 13/03/2018 21:40

Evening all.

Work ok usual person wasnt working so was good fun if usual hard work.

Ds2 has surprised me and took 'friends' aside this am and told them to get thier act together or they could no longer be friends as he was sick of their behaviour! Yeah him 😀 they apologised and said they would try to be better friends. Now he wants to go to trampoline place with them for birthday treat (like one of them did and invited him)and as he mentioned it they all want to ride in our car and have fun together to prove that thay can be good friends. Oh well...

Ds1 has apparently had a bad day so need a chat with him to. Never ends does it?

But have managed to get the lego set he wanted at good price (bnib just a bit of damage to box as its a collector selling it). Ex is going to go halves with me and has asked for ideas for a few extra bits for him too as i have. So thats great as he isnt expecting it.😀

Mrsj busy day! My kids drive me nuts forgetting things too. No wonder i have grey hairs. The list is a good idea. Dont have room next to bags but might put it on calendar thanks for the idea😀

Willow2017 · 13/03/2018 21:46

P.S. Good Luck😀

SelenaValentina · 13/03/2018 22:08

Gosh, busy day for everyone - glad things worked out with DS2, Willow. One magic word {and child firmly told must NOT be used to any adult, including teachers, parents, or there'll be big trouble}, is 'Whatever', together with a look of total boredom and walk away. Even if it's to rush to the loo and sob.

Students I talked this through with looked sceptical 'how can this old biddie know anything?'. Next counselling session, 'Miss, that idea was cool'.

Mrs J and book, please send some of your energy.
84, poor you, agony.
Horse, what a trek, but so worth it.

Patio coming on, probably a 2 week job. Drive full of skip, paving slabs, builders' bags of sand etc. etc. Talked to NDN today generally and seemed OK. At some point (when work finished obviously Grin) I'll tell him he can be intimidating with villains but kindly not with me again or he'd get the 'yeah, yeah, whatever' treatment I advocate!

Willow2017 · 13/03/2018 22:16

Selena thanks but he has tried that kind of thing and they just didnt give up. They thought they were so funny to keep ribbing him about purile stuff beyond his control.

Yes definately tell him where to shove his authority next time. Silly man!

bookbook · 13/03/2018 22:32

Evening all
Just put the crochet hook down.
Plans changed slightly when I realised the cancelled and changed dentist appointment was this afternoon ..... So I had to trot off to have a broken filling removed and replaced .
84 - ouchy - I hear they are painful things, hope it gets sorted .
Willow - growing up and navigating friendships is so hard. I think we all feel as if we would like to make these things go away, but it's just not possible, sadly
Selena - that sounds like a bit of mess and stress for you - hope the bad weather coming along doesn't slow things down.
MrsJ - Bella Coco usually works well, sounds like you have nailed it !
Night all

Mad day here with lots of crying from the baby....and she's here tomorrow too!

Just off to go to story time now and wondering why I thought a roast chicken dinner on a Wednesday night would be a good idea Hmm

Hope you're all OK x

SelenaValentina · 14/03/2018 14:26

Strange sort of day weather-wise. Much colder breeze but managing just to stay fine. Been spinning, did some prom and retail (the best type!) therapy too, now home and feet going up. Might do some chucking out later. Patio going well, but rain forecast for next few days Sad.

Poor you, poor baby Mrs J.

Hope everyone having good day?

Horsemad · 14/03/2018 15:53

Just touching base after a busy couple of days workwise.

Hope your DS2 resolves his friendship woes Willow, kids can be horrible and he sounds so lovely.

MrsJ - hoping for a better day tomorrow with the baby 😀, is she unsettled still, or unwell do you think?

I feel exhausted but DS & I are supposed to be off out for tea (my birthday present from him ☺️)

I wouldn't mind not going if he is happy to go another day.

bookbook · 14/03/2018 16:35

Afternoon all
poor baby MrsJ - poorly, or teeth perhaps? whichever, its so tiring .
Selena - nice retail therapy sounds good!
Horse - I would see if DS minds changing - you won't enjoy it so much if you are exhausted , which would be a shame
Chasing and Willow - hope you are both okay
well, today's plans changed. I went off to the allotment early, and spent an hour and a half picking veg and tidying. When I got home, DH said weather was not going to be nice from tomorrow, so should we bring forward our day out ( lunch out with a big supermarket shop thrown in woo -hoo! Grin) . So ran around, got changed and went out .
Just got home , sat down with a cup of tea having put all the groceries away .

It is looking windy and grey now , so rather glad we went!

Hi all.
Another mental day here. Nearly met myself coming back!

Took car to garage got home put washing out, did usual housework and realised ds2 left his trainers at home! Today of course today the day of his football tournament....

Garage expected brake parts this am but they didnt arrive till pm so i had to get a taxi to school and back with the damm things😀 then 15 mins later garage called... it could only happen to me😁
So all in all been back and forwards to same place 4 times today. And still have to go back to pick ds2 up at 7.30.

Ohh crying babies are draining mrsj hope you get a quiet night. I made roast chicken dinner too.

Everyone been busy today. Retail therapy sounds nice😀

Windy and cold here today thought washing might fly off.

Horse i am sure your ds wont mind waiting a day or two so you enjoy it properly.

MrsJonesAndMe · 14/03/2018 19:09

Hi all

She's tired as she'll only have little cat naps and used to being cuddled to sleep - fine if an only, but not so great with 3 in play.

Weather set to change here too with it being quite cold according to the forecast at the weekend.

Hope you rescheduled your meal out horse not fun if you're not in the mood. Lovely thought that they grow up and treat you though!

Oh Willow I hope you have a calmer day tomorrow.

Selena that does indeed sound like the best therapy! Shame I'm broke Grin

Glad you got out while the going was good book Now tomorrow can be craft day Wink

You, the boys and Charlie OK Squirrel?

How are you feeling 84 ?

Going to relax for a bit now, tomorrow is a new day with a loooong list of things to do.

Willow2017 · 14/03/2018 19:19

Oooh the wind is stronger and colder now. Have to face it to go get ds2. They will no doubt be later than planned. Got my coffee😀

Horsemad · 14/03/2018 19:22

Well, whilst I was debating what to do, I fell asleep and only just woken Blush
So that's that, another night it is! 😁 Hope I can sleep later.

Your day sounds crazy Willow, I'm shattered reading about it! 😂
