Hope DH is feeling better today book x

What a lovely surprise horse, enjoy your weekend with him.

Good news on the shower Willow.

Hope you get some outside time between showers cake.

Just been out for a walk with a friend and dogs, showered Charlie down afterwards as he was so muddy, and worn out now so watching Masterchef.

No plans for the rest of the day, boys with their dad from last night till tomorrow lunchtime as they have a family wedding. Might see if I can crash a friends evening if they aren't doing much.

Willow2017 · 10/03/2018 11:59

Got home without drowning😀
Cant even get a cuppa as water turned off. Should have told ds1 to fill kettle before they turned it off. Laughing at all the men not believing me where to turn off water then hearing them over phone to ds1 saying "oh it is the water tap after all" 😀😀
Got my new glasses too. Fingers crossed they last😉
Got myself box set of TWD series 7 for mothers day.😀 Ds2 got a card and was going to get me lindor in b&m but there was none. Oh well am happy with my dvds.

SelenaValentina · 10/03/2018 14:52

Hope the shower soon finished and effective, Willow, that glasses are better and you enjoy your dvd's. Lindor was on offer in Germany and I've managed not to open - yet. Shall I send some over?
Hope DH feeling better, book and you've got to the allotment shop?
Hope evening goes well, squirrels.
Lovely surprise, Horse. If you can get a water pistol, cats usually hate water blasts.
You've managed to be outside, cake.

Showers, brightish, showers, brightish. Yes, I went spinning Smile, Halo, then cats had their rear ends clipped. Tidied up bit of patio (that'll do for sorting today Blush) before builder arrives on Monday = another tip trip as everything wet and soggy. Yuk. Was going to walk but it's raining so hot choc and good book for me (and maybe biscuits/chocolate}!

Enjoy rest of day everyone.

bookbook · 10/03/2018 16:24

Afternoon all!
Wet just about all day here ..
Willow - hope you have bagsied the first shower!
Horse - lovely to have a nice surprise, even if it was a late do
MrsJ - sounds like you are doing really well on the crochet, and hopefully enjoying it too of course!
84 - hope you are okay, and Wilf has enjoyed himself at Crufts :)
Selena - ooh no shop today - I did double shifts the other week so didn't need to be in . Rather glad , as I bet it was quiet in there. Have you got anything left in your house , or has it all gone to the tip? Grin
Chasing - I'm hoping you have a nice evening with friends, its a long weekend for you without your boys (hugs)
Thanks for thinking of DH - he is quite a lot better, not great, but not bad. We had a walk to get some fresh air, and I have been promised a trip out to a fancy plant nursery tomorrow afternoon on the way to DD2's for tea :)
DD1 dropped in to wish me Happy Mothers Day as I won't be seeing her until Monday, a beautiful card, and some lovely little bits and bobs too. I'm a lucky Mum .

We've had a great day but I did go for a nana nap this afternoon! Just shattered.

Hope you enjoy the surprise visit horse and sleep well tonight.

Will read/post properly tomorrow. Shooing DD to bed and then watching a DVD with DH and scoffing some Choc

Willow2017 · 10/03/2018 20:33

Evening all.
Mrsj i had a nap before tea too😋 ds2 made tea as i wont be here tomorrow tea time.
Been slobbing watching tv this evening.

Ooh a fancy nursery Book dont go mad😀 (oh what the hell go mad😉)
My little crocuses will have had a good battering by rain today i am afraid. Tulips are peeking through too.

Its still raining but not so heavily here and still cold.
Horse hope the cat stays away tonight. Nothing worse in the middle of the night except cats fighting. When i was a kud we had a cat and there were a few around the village. I regularly was lying in bed with my fingers in my ears trying to block out the ungodly noise. It used to give me the chills.

MrsJonesAndMe · 11/03/2018 06:39

Happy mothers day to you all!

You are all such great women and I hope you get the day you deserve!

How is the new shower Willow?

We heard an owl last night - DS was so excited! We have a few cats around and they often come and dig up my garden Angry for toilet purposes.

book is everyone pox free now?

We're planning a quiet-ish day. Check in with you all later x

bookbook · 11/03/2018 09:04

Morning all!
I think everyone here deserves a big Mothers Day hug :)
Yep, DGS back at school tomorrow MrsJ

Very mild and a bit damp here, but I can finally go and potter at the allotment. Then after lunch the trip to the nursery and tea at DD's , so a very easy day .
Have a good day everyone

Willow2017 · 11/03/2018 09:23

Morning all happy mothers day.

At least its stopped raining. Got my card from ds2😀
Usual sunday here working at 12. Hoping the world and his wife dont rock up for mothers day sunday dinner😀
Need to get motivated.
Have a great day all catch up later.

MrsJonesAndMe · 11/03/2018 14:31

We've had a great morning out. Now just sitting down for a minute while doing paperwork - so rock and roll.

Did DS1 acknowledge the day at all willow?

Have a lovely afternoon/tea book

84CharingCrossRoad · 11/03/2018 15:32

Am struggling this weekend. We gave a lot of DP's stuff to the village rummage sale. I foolishly went along and the first thing I saw was his laptray. Sad
Also having to cope with Mothering Sunday with one boy instead of two.
On top of that we have another huge flood outside the gate again!!!

SelenaValentina · 11/03/2018 17:08

Happy Mothering Sunday! Hmm, that was sad for you Horse, memo to self, don't give any of DH's stuff to jumble sales.

Only a few clothes of his now, but nevertheless!

Had lovely day, usual prom therapy whilst DS and partner Star Star cleared out rest of the eaves - mainly wood and bricks (why did DH keep it?) so that can go in skip coming tomorrow for patio work. Then went off for scrummy ice cream sundaes. Local place, only sell vanilla, opened after winter break - the queues were massive for outside sales, but we ate inside so no waiting. Grin.

I'm presuming all cake, ice cream, biscuits etc. are calorie free today? Wink

MrsJonesAndMe · 11/03/2018 20:19

Hugs Lottie!

Calorie free indeed Selena
X

Willow2017 · 11/03/2018 20:48

Evening all.

Nope he hasnt acknowledged it at all.
Came home to post ww3 apparently. Am taking every cable in the house with me next work pm. This is past a joke.

Work ok apart from finding out one of the others is going tale telling to boss behind my back about me. So pathetic of them and so pathetic of boss to listen to them. Apparently something else was wrong on friday morning but I emphasised that it was nothing to do with me at all as I didnt do what they said as we didnt have flaming time to do it! Other staff all mutinous today over something else and all apparently planning on job hunting!

On the plus side it was the quietest Sunday in ages! Got away on time and have been invited out for lunch tomorrow with some of the women I work with which is nice.

Aww 84 thats a bit of a shock, not what you need hugs

Oh and shower is fine, not so powerful as my old one but it will do us Grin

Need to iron some uniform now, rock and roll? You and me both Mrs J

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/03/2018 06:23

Oh no Willow (((hug)))

SelenaValentina · 12/03/2018 08:40

So hope today's a better day, Willow. DS1 needs to grow up. Good idea re cables.

Pouring with rain, can't see much patio work going to be done Sad, but he can insulate the newly cleared out eaves if he feels so minded!

Willow2017 · 12/03/2018 09:01

Damp miserable day here again. Very foggy last night coming home.

Off to get the shopping and footie socks Grin

Have a good day all.

bookbook · 12/03/2018 09:24

Morning all
wet and grey here too. Just faffing around today - tidying/housework before picking up DGS .
I had a lovely time at DD2's .
84 - that is hard. Its the side swipe of not expecting it that hurts. Hope you get the flood sorted.
Willow - how you manage to stay up beat is something else - you need a big Star really as well as a (hug) - so enjoy your lunch.
Selena - I bet he can't wait - scrabbling around in eaves that is! I sincerely hope yesterday was calorie free Grin
A bit of a rush tea at DD's as have to be back for a committee meeting tonight .
Have a good day everyone

84CharingCrossRoad · 12/03/2018 09:40

We have just had a floodside meeting with the parish Council chairman and the guy who is in charge of the building site. We will see what happens now. It came right up under the bay window last night.....

SelenaValentina · 12/03/2018 11:37

Aaaaaagh, neighbour who's been so amenable up to now, decided that having patio done will cause too much hassle for him. But he's known all along what it entails (have to use his access to get to our back garden) so why now when builder here. Hmm

Retreats to coffee shop.

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/03/2018 14:10

Hello all

Sound like a mixed bag!

I've done quite a bit here, but it's all the stuff that doesn't look like any work like cleaning the floor, dusting/washing etc

I feel absolutely shattered! Cannot wait for my bed tonight.

Selena I cannot believe that he'd be such a right pain at the last minute. Hope he gets his head out of his arse!

Hope that the builders will get the flooding resolved quickly 84 - that sounds quite serious!

I think I'm inadvertently crocheting a newborn baby hat instead of teenage size book so might have to start again. Might need to use a bigger hook than the 4 that I have??? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hope horse and squirrel are ok. Willow, you do deserve a medal! and DS a kick up the bum

Willow2017 · 12/03/2018 15:05

Afternoon all.
84 hope its sorted out pdq thats awful.
Selena oh what a pia. Hope he gets over himself. Changing your mind at last minute is pathetic.

Mrsj busy day! Make sure you get a bit of me time later.

Made it back, dumped shopping and put stuff in fridge/freezer and took off. Lunch was lovely. Had good moan about work as well as other stuff. Nice meal too. Could get used to 'doing lunch' 😁😁

Thanks for the star and hugs.

Willow2017 · 12/03/2018 15:06

Ermmm anyone want to come and tidy up my kitchen and hang washing up? I am too stuffed to want to move 😀

Chasingsquirrels · 12/03/2018 15:42

Glad you had a good lunch Willow, sounds like you needed something nice in your life. I'm another who is in awe of your continued upbeatness in the face of ongoing trials. Hugs.

84, the jumble sounds a kicker - I still haven't got rid of John's clothes, or sorted much of his stuff at all really. And the flood waters sound really bad as well, hope it get sorted. More hugs

Selena, what a pain with NDN. Hope he decides to change his mind again and comes round.

book, glad your DH is feeling better and you had a lovely tea with your dd. Have a good time with dgs.

cake it's good to get the invisible things done even if it's not noticeable. Have a restful evening.

horse hope you had a lovely time with ds2, is he away again then back at the weekend?

Quite nice here earlier and I walked Charlie before work but drizzling now, so we've just had a play in the garden when I got home and now he's fast asleep on the beanbag.

Much more with it at work today so hopefully a couple of weeks of concentrated effort and I'll be up to date.
Still not 100% better physically but getting there. Nasty bug though.

SelenaValentina · 12/03/2018 16:23

Thanks everyone. Think we appeased him somewhat, I'm surmising he'd possibly not had such a good weekend away then reacted to my note about what was happening. Saw such a different side to him (cop) and quite took me back to (violent) exDH, although he wasn't being physically aggressive obviously. Glad builder was here.

84, hope flooding gets sorted quickly.
willow, good to have a moan and rant! Sorry, bit far away to be of help!
squirrels, glad feeling better sounds to have been awful.
book, hope day not too rushed.
Mrs J, well done you for getting the boring bits (well, I find all housework boring, some more than others Blush) achieved.
Horse, sounds to have been good weekend.

Enjoy the evening! Supposed to be nice here tomorrow.

It's rained allllllllllllllll day, quite unusual for here.
