Morning!
Lovely sunshine.
Gorgeous flowers Willow* - pester the HA every day - make them sick of you, so they get you sorted sooner ( does that still work?)

MrsJ - glad you had a better night .
Chasing - oooh, so jealous of the hedgehogs, and also so nice that you enjoyed yourself last night - I hope its the sign that life is taking a turn for the happier :)
Had a gentle morning so far - washing hung out, pottered outside in greenhouse and plant nursery ( shelves of stuff hardening off) , all watered and talked to. Off to the market and library after a coffee.
Committee meeting was over and done with fairly quick last night, so I had a bit of time to sit down for some 'me' knitting ( doing a shawl, it will be slow, but no time constraints)
This afternoon will be at the allotment with DH - the grand finishing of the cage we have built. Its all done, just we have to put the net over now . It will be fun ( not!)
Then another committee meeting tonight
Enjoy the day!

Morning all.

Squirrels Thats a lot of hedgehogs! Lucky you i haven't seen one in my garden for a long time.
Thanks Mrsj 😀

Have phoned council about bidding on the property as no reply at all. They registered me and gave me the number for homelessness so awaiting someone calling back to see if they can help. Fingers crossed.

Lovely day here.

Willow2017 · 15/05/2018 10:44

Well I have an appointment but its not till 24th! Due to circumstances I will get a 'gold pass' for a house but the house bidding ends this morning and I dont know how long they will take to decide who gets it!

Not exactly holding my breath. I am too impatient I guess.

One step forwards 2 back Grin

Need to get on with more house work stuff to keep my mind off it.

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/05/2018 12:46

That's next week, so hopefully that'll get the ball rolling. Gold pass sounds good Grin

hope you got all our gardening done book I finally have some stuff growing now! Fingers crossed we get to eat something at some point Blush

Busy morning, just sitting down for 5 before I pack away the food shopping and get on with some stuff.

Willow2017 · 15/05/2018 13:46

Phew! Went through the filing piled up and through the filing cabinet and culled it all down to bare minimum. Now have a list of all the people I will need to tell when I move house! How many???
Have cancelled all the insurances you get lumbered with when buying something and trying again to cancel Which subs. Its down as a debit card transaction so cant flipping cancell it. Have emailed again!

Got new Urology appoint cos the one they sent was during my hols! Typical.

84CharingCrossRoad · 15/05/2018 16:26

Not a good day so far. Got taken in by a fake online site and had to cancel my bank card! Angry

bookbook · 15/05/2018 16:34

oh no 84 - hope the bank have been helpful. If you are quick enough, hopefully they will have stopped any money going out? fingers crossed for you

OP posts:
84CharingCrossRoad · 15/05/2018 17:32

Nothing gone out thankfully. They are called CIA BEAUTY so you can all avoid them. They look very plausible.... Hmm

Willow2017 · 15/05/2018 20:30

Oh not good 84 but bank are usually quick to stop that sort of thing. Fingers crossed.

Quiet start but busy later at work. Ploughed on and actually got finished on time. Am shattered though😀

MrsJonesAndMe · 15/05/2018 20:39

Oh no 84 that's such a pain. Wine for you

I've done 13 rows on this tricky square I'm on now, which is over half way. Yikes, I don't make things easy for myself. Might knock up a quick easy one to relax.

Glad you finished on time Willow What are you reading at the moment? I'm on a book which I haven't really got into and can't decide whether to ditch or try and plough on.

Willow2017 · 15/05/2018 21:26

The last book in Stephen Kings 'The Dark Tower' series (apart from the 2 stand alone books) I dont want to finish it😀 was crying over it today and suspect i will be crying some more i dont want it to end am enjoying it too much its very clever and complicated.
Which book are you reading Mrsj?

Chasingsquirrels · 15/05/2018 21:36

Busy day!
Worked till 3.30, dashed to school for ds1 parent/teacher consultations (which was basically an ego stroke for him, with lots of "keep it up" thrown in). Home then out again to take them to joggers, supermarket, home and unpack & tea although I am having a low cal day so told the boys to sort themselves out.
Then I asked the boys to mow the lawn and do the vacuuming.
Well the lawnmower packed up and the vacuuming hasn't been done.
But the hedge is sure getting trimmed!!

Just sat down & now to read today's posts.

Squirrels
What a busy day! Well done ds1. Love the hedge photos. My ds2 would love that ds1 not into gardening at all but will lift heavy pots etc for me and hack at plants to divide them😀

I am aching all over. Been watching 'The Split' its getting better, wasnt sure at first. Only started watching it cos Anthony Head is in it😀

Chasingsquirrels · 16/05/2018 06:49

I keep meaning to watch The Split but havent got around to it yet.

Neither of mine are gardeners, but this was power tools and climbing on the hedge 🤣.
I didn't think I did that much but am achy this morning.

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/05/2018 06:52

I'm reading Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz.

Wow, that's one hell of a hedge squirrel Well done to DS1 for a good report.

Much cooler here today. Catch up later.

bookbook · 16/05/2018 09:02

Morning!
windy and cool here.
84 - well, thats good news about the money, anyway!
Chasing - wow your boys deserve a medal, thats a big hedge!
Its a bit of a quick dip in here - due to go to craft club in an hour, and then DGS pick up duty this afternoon. But ...DD has just messaged - DGS was a bit off this morning and his best friend is off with chicken pox ( mind you DGS has had them , but so has friend Hmm ) So am on school message alert . Having a quick dash around to sort everything out this end in case I get the call.
Have a good day everyone

Willow2017 · 16/05/2018 11:45

Morning All
Sunny but windy here too.

Been blitzing the house, done the kitchen, bins, and the living room. Roped ds1 into moving the sofa and chair etc how does all that 'stuff' get under the sofa?

Book fingers crossed its not a repeat dose. Once is bad enough!

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/05/2018 13:08

Hello, lunch time check in....

Chilly out there! Been out for fresh air and hoc choc/muffin

Hope you don't get an early phone call book

Sounds very productive Willow

Could really do with the wedding getting over and done with - town is like a bloody circus! Will be avoiding till it's all over now. Staying in n Sat & letting DS have a friend over for play & ice cream.

Willow2017 · 16/05/2018 13:52

Arghghghghghghghghghgh!
Been online doing tax credits review. Had to get new password, fine. DId the stuff and came out. Then realised my hours are changed so tried to get back on to change it...apparently it doesnt recognise my id number now (it keeps blanking it out and saying it doesnt recognise me) tried to get new password to see if that helped...dont recognise my email either! Have put in a complaint Grin Useless site. What a waste of time.

Got kids winter coats in wash taking flipping ages! Am putting ds1's into charity shop as too small now but needed a wash anyway. Washing to put away and want to start on ds's room to get rid of some of the mountains of stuff they have before we have to move...wish me luck I can prize ds1 off the pc.

Had blether with my aunt she is still gobsmacked at what LL have done and told me to dig up my plants and take them back Grin Fiesty she is Smile

MrsJ ooh muffin sounds good. Nothing like that in the house. Did find 2 mini eggs in foil that I hid too well at easter when blitzed the bookcases Grin

Chasingsquirrels · 16/05/2018 15:57

Afternoon everyone.

Fingers crossed that dgs does not catch the pox again book and hope you have a good time with him this afternoon.

Logging in to websites can be a pita Willow, try again later and see.
I certainly don't envy you having to move, I've been here for 17 years and you accumulate so much stuff.

Muffin sounds good cake, yum.

Boys both at an athletics thing after school, ds2 taking part and ds1 as a sports leader so I've got an hour at home before I have to pick them up at 5pm.
Then bridge tonight which should be good.

84CharingCrossRoad · 16/05/2018 15:59

Had a lovely dinner with my friends. Fizz and red wine to drink! My friends DH cooked the spaghetti. Have just made banana loaf and am going to make it into banoffee loaf with toffee sauce!!

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/05/2018 20:12

Hmmm, pass me some 84!

Argh Willow that sounds typical!

Yes, there's so much stuff Squirrel - does it all breed when one looks away?

Tired! Did yoga and going to brush my teeth so I can't stuff my face any further! Blush

Willow2017 · 16/05/2018 22:53

Hmmmm that looks good 84

What a busy night!

DS2 had homework.
DS2 pestered and pestered about Cadets. His friend said hisdad said he could come and get DS2 and take him so confirmed it with him, then I looked online and filled out the form and have a number to call tomorrow to see if he can just rock up for a taster tomorrow night.

Then he produced his School Report so we went over that. It was pretty good with some excellents too. Very pleased. He needs to improve his spelling and time management but other than that all very good comments from every teacher. Phew! And there went the evening! Why do kids spring everything on you mid evening?

Willow2017 · 17/05/2018 12:20

Oh Good Grief it just gets worse!
Apparently ds1 had a resit of part of a prelim he didnt know about and missed it. He now has to go in on Monday to do it and present his project work. Unfortunately they were told that they could do the project work in pairs and he did it with another boy but when it came to handing it in only one name could be on it so it was handed in in the other boys name and he lost all his work! WTF? Now he has 4 days to do a project that took months. We can get something put together but its not going to be the same is it so he is saying why bother? He has such a rubbish attitude to his capabilities I want to shake him sometimes! And as he doesnt tell me a thing I look a real numpty to the teachers for not knowing about it in the first place.

I just dont need this right now and now a flamming giant bee is now buzzing around my legs and another is on the patio doors! Why when they are so smart with all the bee stuff are they so damm stupid?

On the plus side I called them this morning and ds2 is going to cadets tonight. Other dad says its no prob to take him at all, wont take petrol money so thats something I have done right for a change. Hope work goes well as it would be the last straw and I might just run screaming from the place Grin

Think I might phone ex and get him to come over asap to speak to ds1 and maybe help him focus.

Hope you are all having better days than I am so far.
