bookbook · 06/04/2017 21:18

I'm so glad you had a good day. Juan , and you have listened to magi
I know this sounds a bit odd, but why not just talk to Mark , you might find it works ?
((hugs))

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/04/2017 21:22

Gosh, what a little beauty that Bertie is! They should hand puppies out on the NHS.

Glad today was a better day. I second the idea of just talking to Mark anyway.

DramaAlpaca · 06/04/2017 21:33

Glad you've got an appointment. In the meantime, Maltesers are always good.

Oh Bertie is so adorable! There's something about a springer pup, I just love the breed. When my little chap first arrived home, aged 8 weeks, we had a queue of the boys' friends turning up to see him. I've never seen so many young men go quite so soppy over a puppy Grin

SelenaValentina · 06/04/2017 21:35

Thank you for thinking about us, Juan - I get mixed up with which thread to post on so don't! But big hello's and hugs to all.

Bertie is beautiful, all that unconditional love to cuddle into. I love dogs.

We're in the waiting for appointments stage, that flat bit of our roller coaster ride. It feels as though they play a power game somehow. Just tell us, we know there's one booked!

DH very tired after the blast of RT but one of the cats is keeping him warm and he's had some physio with a lovely, bouncy therapist today who always cheers him up. Grin

I agree about the 'talking' as bookbook suggests.

JuanPotatoTwo · 06/04/2017 22:01

I hope it is the last for you then Cake, and that it's been successful.

book and GaspI did actually talk to him! I have him on a shelf at the bottom of my bed at the minute, with a pair of his glasses perched on top of his tube, and I have to pass him all the time. So earlier I sat on the bottom of the bed and told him about my day - first time I've done it.

Drama I've not had much to do with Springers as a breed before meeting Beau - Bertie's mum. She is the most human like dog I've ever met, and so clever and obedient. When dd's boyfriend brings her here with him, she sits on our settee with her back up against the back of the settee - so upright like a human! I love her, and she's being such a good mum to her puppy.

Selena nice to see you. Glad to hear you have cats and bouncy physios helping cheer your dh up. Must be very frustrating waiting to hear about appointments. Hope you hear something soon.

Juan - I am hoping it worked , talking to him. It may allow you some chance to relax and sleep .xx

magimedi · 06/04/2017 22:25

I am so happy to log in & see you have an appointment with the Dr.

Well done!

Bertie is just lovely & am so pleased you are taking some joy from him.

(((xxx)))

Chasingsquirrels · 06/04/2017 22:28

Just saying hi.
Malteasers good - I brought myself a Malteasers Easter Egg yesterday and ate it last night.
Bertie gorgeous.
Selena hugs.
Juan hope you sleep.

Me funeral tomorrow, ho hum.

marriednotdead · 06/04/2017 22:36

Even Juan, glad you were able to 'talk' rather than leave your thoughts tumbling about.
I find having such conversations in my head a useful way of tidying my brain up and dealing with things that are stressing me. I have lots with my witch of a mother who would probably disown me if she knew how I truly felt!

I'm more of a cat person but that is a very cute puppy Smile

bookbook · 06/04/2017 22:43

Chasing - will be thinking of you tomorrow Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 06/04/2017 22:57

I just have to add to the springer pup love Smile

This is my boy when he first came home (sorry pic a bit blurry). He's two now & just as cuddly - he's snuggled up next to me right now.

Chasing will also be thinking of you tomorrow x

JuanPotatoTwo · 06/04/2017 23:04

Squirrels, I also will be thinking of you and wishing you strength to get through the ordeal that is the funeral of a much loved one.

Drama he's beautiful. What's his name?

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 06/04/2017 23:05

Juan his name is Finn Smile

2017SoFarSoGood · 06/04/2017 23:20

Evening everyone.

That Bertie is one fine specimen of puppyhood, I must say. Cute as a button, and still at the helpless stage that is so appealing. Name is one I hold dear in my heart.

So glad to hear about the appointment and the talk. Mostly the talk. If you can get comfortable doing it, I think it may just be the best medicine at this point. Just saying all the things you would have said to him is cathartic. Keep it up!

TheConstantCakeEater · 07/04/2017 07:09

Thinking of you today Squirrel The sun is shining here and I hope that it shines on you too.

Thanks Juan I've had a lot of stressful stuff going on at the same time with little support and it caught up with me. Doing much better now.

Glad you are able to talk to him, it sounds like a great way of dealing with your thoughts/feelings.

JuanPotatoTwo · 07/04/2017 10:07

Also thinking of you squirrel.

Cake good to hear you're doing better :)

Chasing sending lots of love and strength for you and your family and friends today Flowers

bookbook · 07/04/2017 16:56

I just like being busy in truth Juan - I get very fidgety otherwise.
How are you?

Very good day for me , I got everything done I needed to. I came back, and popped to my allotment to pick our first asparagus of the year for tonights meal. :)

JuanPotatoTwo · 07/04/2017 19:31

Drama, Finn is a great name.

squirrels I have been thinking of you all day. Hope it went as well as ever a funeral can. Are you wiped out now?

I've had a surprisingly good day.

Took ds3 into town this morning to do a few errands. And then a friend told me she'd like to take me to see her husband's grave which I was slightly apprehensive about, although conscious that she was sharing something very precious with me. I did get upset as expected, but in truth, the churchyard was beautiful and peaceful. And then we went for a short walk to a riverside pub where we sat outside for a couple of hours.

Another friend has just dropped by with a crumble (Mark's favourite) that she's made for us.

book glad you've had a good day and hope you enjoy your asparagus :)

Have to share another pic with you all - this is Beau and Bertie

Your just showing off with the dogs.** Grin

Sounds like a lovely day, I love going to the graveyard it sounds somewhat morbid I know but it's peaceful and I feel closer to my son there then anywhere else (he never came home)

Getting out and plenty fresh air might do your sleep some good.

Chasing hope your ok Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2017 21:43

Unborn Flowers

Juan glad you had a good day. Love the photo of the dog & pup, mum dog looks a little like my girl dog. Finn was the name I'd have wanted if we'd had DS4, but as we didn't I had to use it on the dog! Just as well I didn't allow DS3 to name him, he'd have been Augustus von Finklebottom Confused
