Welcome Marmite & Blossom just join in sharing as much or as little as you're comfortable with. I understand the no off switch with wine all too well, the wine witch is a powerful enemy and false friend.

Hi everyone else, Easter holiday madness here, very busy and feeling a bit low for reasons I won't bore you all with. Feel a bit hopeless at the moment, I'm normally optimistic but I think I've taken a blow too many right now. Hey-ho I'm sure it'll work out.

I'm sorry not to NC everyone, I am reading and taking interest in you all, just need to hide away a little for a short time, will come out fighting, oh yeah!

In luxury news, you will all be fascinated to learn that our friends at Garnier have bought out different types of Moisture bombs for various skin types which I plan to try Smile

Have a good evening all, I will get to know the newbies very soon and catch up properly.

Marmitelover55 · 05/04/2017 20:13

Thank you for the lovely welcome Luxurywoman (sorry don't know how to do bold) and sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low. Have just made myself a cup of peppermint tea and have settled down to watch Masterchef (felt like wine earlier with supper but think I'm passed the danger zone for today).

LuxuryWoman2017 · 05/04/2017 20:19

Marmite to bold just put an asterisk before and after the word.
Yes, I think we all have a danger time, we develop Pavlovian responses don't we? 7pm time for a drink!

You can change your habits, but need to work out strategies, new ways of thinking etc.

madein1995 · 05/04/2017 21:01

Hi marmite and blossom and welcome! Smile
Lux sorry to hear you're feeling down, you're usually so chirpy and happy it's lovely, I hope things get better soon Smile

Marmitelover55 · 05/04/2017 21:17

Thankyou madein

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 21:18

Hi marmite and blossom
*
Lux* hope you feel a bit better soon, nothing worse than lowness. I'll be looking out for these masks now, I've been getting an awful rash with the normal ones, maybe that's the booze out the pores though. Big hugs from me and the baba, she's getting so big now I'll need to post another pic Flowers

LuxuryWoman2017 · 05/04/2017 21:34

Hey Flowerey another baby pic would cheer me up!
I guess what suits one skin won't suit another.
Thanks for the well wishes, I'll be fine in a day or two, got a few worries, a crap partner and menopausal!
If you hear of a middle aged mama with good skin clubbing her OH with a whiskey bottle over his head would you all speak up for me in court? Severe provocation is my defence Grin

madein1995 · 05/04/2017 21:47

Ooh flowery I go all gooey over babies so would love a pic!

Lux no problems whatsoever, I shall iron my best suit Grin

guggenheim · 05/04/2017 21:48

Evening all,

Just checking in and wishing love to babes who are struggling with ww or life in general. I've had a very small g&t - lots of tonic and now I'm tucked up in bed.
I haven't had an af evening for a week or two and that's not good enough. My liver feels very disappointed with me : )
I'm trying to be healthier and more aware of the crap I eat and drink, probably helped by the extra light and nice weather. I think I can do a few af nights again.

madein1995 · 05/04/2017 22:40

Gugg Hello, and I know what you mean re the nice weather. The dark weather seems to = warm fire, hot drink with a dash of something boozy and half a ton of chocolate. In the summer I eat much more salads and drink water Grin

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 23:07

Guggs I've not managed in a while either but we can totally do it,

Lux you have been the main cheerleader for the group and we all love you for it but here's some love back. The little lady can finally hold her head up now

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 23:08

Made I'm also in awe of your strength the past few days so this is for you too.

Apologies for her gawky face

LuxuryWoman2017 · 05/04/2017 23:14

Oh what a little honey she is Smile

Rightio Babes, I'm off to bed, tomorrow is another day, yes?

Night all.

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 23:16

It is indeed lux big hugs though, going to have a look for the masks tomorrow

madein1995 · 05/04/2017 23:28

Flowery she's absolutely gorgeous, look at her head of hair and wide eyes, just beautiful! How old is she now?

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 23:39

That's her just gone 3 months. Her brothers just dote on her. Hoping I can enjoy the time for snuggles once we're moved cause I feel I'm just not giving any of them enough attention just now

madein1995 · 05/04/2017 23:44

Aww never, she looks so advanced for 3 months, they look so wide eyed and awake nowadays don't they Grin It must be hectic for you atm, especially if the kids are all young? Baby snuggles are the absolute best

Flowerydems · 05/04/2017 23:48

Yep this is literally the worst decision I've ever made moving at this point. I'm sitting on the couch with dh surrounded by boxes,I'm stressed

madein1995 · 06/04/2017 00:03

Have you long to go? (Both in packing terms and in time terms)? Is everyone pulling their fingers out?

guggenheim · 06/04/2017 07:19

Morning babes,
Boing! I slept really well- who knew that less booze = great sleep....oh wait.i really am a very slow learner.

madein you have been very brave it must have been scary going to court. Hope it all goes your way : )

flowey squeeeeeeee! What a cutie. Actually I think you're moving at the right time, she's little enough to be portable and not really care where she is as long as you're there too. it's hard work moving house isn't it? Hope it goes well.

Margie32 · 06/04/2017 08:31

Flowery, I feel for you, moving house with young kids is the pits!!! I know we are staying where we are now for the rest of our lives just because I can't face moving again! Good luck with it all - your DD is gorgeous! Makes me go all gooey and broody!

Good to see you Guggs, glad you've had a good night's sleep.

Lux, I would definitely speak up for you in court! Sorry your DH is being crap, hope the moisture bombs help you feel better.

Welcome Marmite and Blossom and hi to all babes. Big hug for you lovely Spanna, hope you're ok.

Question for UK-based babes - am bringing my DSs over next week, do you think they need their big coats or will a light jacket be enough? I know it's hard to predict but I'd appreciate some advice!

UnwiseOldElf · 06/04/2017 09:36

flowery soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!! Grin Gorgeous. Thank you for that pic - really brightened up my morning seeing her.

Hello to marmite and blossom. This is a great bus - everyone totally "gets" it about alcohol and our ups and downs. Good to have you with us.

Feeling a bit cheerier than yesterday. Pleased to also report that I didn't want alcohol despite feeling a bit out of sorts. Gin used to be my "go to" solution for everything - cheery, down, excited, celebrating, tired, anxious - you name it. I never thought I'd get to the point where I just know it won't help and will only make whatever it is worse in the morning. I'm not complacent, but I'm grateful. And the sun is out. And flowery's daughter is squeezably lovely.

Have a fab day, everyone!

LuxuryWoman2017 · 06/04/2017 10:02

Morning lovely ones,

Feeling a little perkier today, ups and downs of life I guess.

Margie weather is picking up here and the SE will be around 13ish degrees so a light jacket should be fine - I have sandals on today for the first time this year.

Flowery moving is very stressful but so worth it once you're in the lovely new place.

Nice to see Gugg do you plan to take a booze break again? Morning Made how are you today m'dear? Thanks for your kind words last night Smile I'm glad Elf you are feeling a bit brighter too, the sun can really help lift a mood can't it?

Waving hello to Ma Elba Dubh Smallfox Spannaif you're out there, Marmite Blossom Flora and anyone else I've missed.

Hmm, as most of you know I'm heading for 100 days wine free (Yay, go me!!) and I have had the odd beer or gin at home, nothing that concerns me - I feel much more in control of everything. I'm starting to think now that perhaps I could stop drinking at home altogether, only have a couple when socialising. Once I hit a 100 days I'm going to give this some thought, I'm thinking is there really any point in having 2 beers in front of the TV on Friday night? It really doesn't add anything to my life.

Anyhow, the chores won't do themselves - will catch up with you all later. Have a great day everybody.

Flowerydems · 06/04/2017 11:06

Made we get the keys on Monday and move a week Saturday, it's just the boys that are under our feet just now that's adding to the stress I think.

Guggs that's great about the sleep you'll be raring to go this morning then

Margie it depends what part of the uk, it's quite nice and warm in the north east of Scotland but that can change quite quickly

Unwise so glad you're feeling better today,

Lux glad you're feeling better today aswell. I'm in the process of trying to make different drink choices so I'm at the first stage but you beating the wine witch has given me hope

Me, dh and the kids are heading out to the park this morning to enjoy some of the sun. One good thing about dh being a teacher is the holiday, it's also the worst thing aswell though 😂 hope everyone else has a brilliant day

dementedma · 06/04/2017 13:52

Fucking hell lux well done!
Waving to everyone else as exhausted and hungover.
