Flowery I’m glad you’re feeling a bit bettere Smile moving must be hard but it’ll be all over relarively soon
Gugg glad you slept well. Thank you for calling me brave, I certainly don’t feel it at times!
Margie personally I’d bring both, it is nice weather atm but the weather can change like that and I think it’d be better to be prepared. One coat and one light jacket each should be enough I think Smile
Elf glad you’re feeling a bit chirpier Smile
Marmite how are you doing today? Well done on the peppermint tea with Masterchef, it’s all about the little changes Smile
Lux you sound more positive so that’s fab, wow 100 days that’s great!
Blossom how are you feeling today, hope you are ok?
Hello ma, hope you’re not feeling too rough?
Have been spoilt today. Had 3 pairs of jammas, slippers, make up and make up brushes, perfume, bedding, a necklace, some leggings, a few floaty dresses and a bottle of blackcurrant vodka off parents, and £50 of money in cards so done well Grin Been out for a walk this morning (well, run wild in the dogs case) then went to a place called sub zero for breakfast/lunch. Had a crepe filled with chocolate and vanilla ice creams, drizzled with Nutella, 3 forrero rochers, whipped cream, strawberries, a wafer and loads of chocolate sauce and am now stuffed to the brim Grin dog is now curled up on sofa and I’m mnetting/watching tv on laptop. Having a nice night in and an Indian tonight (will need to exsist on lettuce tomorrow to have any hope for a good weigh in Blush) Tomorrow am going to refuge in morning (11am-1pm) then working from 5 til 10. Have applied for the drugaid job, thanks for the advice flowery. I’ve got til the 19th to apply for the police job so will take a decent photo of me made up tomorrow and attach that to the application form, and complete it tomorrow evening I think. Am making myself relax today and watch tv – jobhunting can wait until Sunday (well, looking for well paid jobs I’d love – it’s lovely looking for a job when you already have one, compared to looking for any job at all)
Ooh and a link to the song that was number one on the day I was born -

Kikikaakaa · 06/04/2017 17:53

Hey all I haven't checked in for ages... I'm still dry! Over 30 days.

Today was testing - I had a busy stressful day and went to the shop after work really wanting a drink. I was looking for becks blue but couldn't find any. I stood by the wine, then walked back to beer about 4 times. I really wanted to drink it but became really anxious about how it would make me feel. What if I felt really drunk and ill? I don't like feeling ill. Because I now don't know how I would feel it made me too anxious and I walked away from the aisle with nothing. It was an odd moment for me.

Hope you are all well!

LuxuryWoman2017 · 06/04/2017 18:04

Well done Kiki tolerance certainly goes down after a dry spell '- not worth it!

madein1995 · 06/04/2017 18:31

Well done kiki you're right, the wine might have made you ill and its not a nice feeling

Thanks lux flowery and mint, the pug looks adorable too!

MintToBe · 06/04/2017 18:54

Kikikaakaa
I had a glass of wine recently. Dry since Jan 2nd. Oh my god I was smashed! Had a shit nights sleep and puked. I used to do 2-3 bottles a night!

madein1995 · 06/04/2017 19:07

Mint my tolerance has gone down to. I used to be able to able to manage 2 bottles of wine a night, no bother. Months of having a bottle a week perhaps, and last week on hols I had a bottle of cava - God I felt awful. I wasn't sick but slept awfully, things can change in such a short period of time. Dread to think what I'd be like if I drank two bottles of wine now

Kikikaakaa · 06/04/2017 19:09

I'm meant to be going out next weekend and it will be everyone boozing, in a boozy place, and some of them it's the first time we are meeting. I'm terrified I might get tempted with a glass of prosecco then throw up all over someone and have to be carted home
So I either test the water before hand, or I vow to completely avoid. This is my dilemma

Flowerydems · 06/04/2017 19:24

Aw Kiki that's a tough one. I tend to drink more in social situations when I'm uncomfortable to make myself more at ease but if your tolerance is low I'd maybe avoid or dilute every drink by following it with water?

bibbitybobbityyhat · 06/04/2017 19:37

Evening all babes, old and new and inbetween.

Happy Birthday Cake Flowers Star to you Made!! I misread your earlier post and thought it was later in the month for some reason.

Welcome to the bus to the newcomers. I am new too and the thing to do is jump in and post. You'll get to know everyone if you stay.

Kiki I would go to the boozy do and not drink! I know that's going to be hard but you will feel SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD if you manage it! I've had several nights out in the last 5 weeks and can honestly say I haven't missed drinking too much at all. And it's great being able to drive home, sleep well and not have a hangover in the morning. Last night I went out for tapas with two friends who shared a bottle of wine. I was amazed to find it was absolutely fine and I really enjoyed my evening just as much as I would if I'd been drinking too.

Day 37 (I think).

madein1995 · 06/04/2017 19:56

Bibbity well done and thanks Smile

Kiki if I were you, I wouldn't drink. As you say you don't know how you'll react to it and you don't want to make yourself sick. If you do drink, try to alternate between alcohol and water, and make the drinks last a long time. If you do have a drink I'd only have one or two - don't risk drinking too much and getting sick

Blossomff234 · 07/04/2017 06:24

Thank you for such a warm welcome! I was AF last night and had eight hours of sleep. Feel energized and ready to start the day. I think my problem is wine - once I have two glasses or so, I just drink it like water. I am going to set myself a challenge of not drinking wine for two weeks and see how it goes. Hope everyone is having a great morning!

MintToBe · 07/04/2017 06:53

Morning Blossomff234
I have discovered what I call my fake G+T. It's elderflower cordial and lemonade with lots of ice. It's so delicious I've actually started craving it instead of Pinot. I've noticed the buds on the elderflower are starting to arrive. This year I'll be making double the amounts of cordial and a friend has given me some demijons so ill be making elderflower champagne too.
The sleep you get without alcohol is worth it!
This wont work for everyone but I've been using the dry January app as for me when I get the little yellow thumbs down I feel annoyed with myself as I hate letting myself down.
You will find the way that fits best.

guggenheim · 07/04/2017 06:53

Well done blossom do you feel better?
Wine is my downfall too, I'm really not bothered about spirits or beer.

I had a great sleep last night which was ruined by children at 5.45 am - it's the sodding holidays, go back to bed! I then made the mistake of reading the news- it's just awful. Bloody hell!

guggenheim · 07/04/2017 06:55

Morning mint,
Yum, I'd like some elderflower champagne please. How lovely to make your own. Any chance of a recipe?

UnwiseOldElf · 07/04/2017 10:26

Elderflower cordial recipe too please!!

Flowerydems · 07/04/2017 17:41

Hey lovely babes. I've not managed any af days this week ( but I've not drank as much as previous weeks) but I don't think I'll manage this week af at all.

I'm so low, I can't settle with all the boxes. I'm so bloated all the time from the booze and I'm so scared of getting ill. Dh is being wonderful but I'm so worried. We have a christening tomorrow not ours but my middle is so bloated I can't fit into anything, I'm all red and fat and I can't stop cause I need to block out all the rubbish.

Sorry for having such a moan 3 sleeps till we get the keys so after that I'll be too tired to drink and I'll try and save myself for moving day. Hope everyone's having a better day than this

dementedma · 07/04/2017 19:05
