Dd woke up this morning at 5am. She usually sleeps through until around 7 but last few days she's been up early and really demanding all day it's tough.. she only ever wants me as well which makes it even tougher as it's like nobody can help me out. I am run ragged and exhausted.

Me and OH and a little squabble this morning it got more heated very quickly and OH called me a cunt. Said I was Lazy because I don't work all I do is swan around with the baby (not true) I do everything in this house.

OH barged passed me and knocked into me it wasn't too hard but it defiantly was the straw that broke the camels back I reached out and I hit him then burst into tears because I was so angry.

I have never hit anyone ever! He has gone off to work now and rightfully so isn't speaking to me.. I know if he hit me I would of packed his stuff there and then. It's my house and
I don't know what to do. I feel terrible about it.

We usually have a good relationship we have disagreements but they are usually resolved quickly and things have never for physical before. He did not hit me back this morning and he has never laid a finger on me he calmly walked away.

Also you've just made up another bit of bullshit.. where did I say that I shouted??

You are being deliberately obtuse now OP. If you actually read the thread you will see perfectly well why. But you're choosing not to and to see things your own way.

Classic abuser behaviour. Your DP should get out now while he still can.

Whatssheonaboutnow · 02/03/2017 21:27

OP Don't stress anymore. He's out enjoying himself tonight. If my DH called me a cunt and barged me l, I think I might have pushed back at the very least. Nobody on this thread was there so not in a position to comment really.

stupididiot26 · 02/03/2017 21:31

Okay, that is your opinion. It is my opinion that it is you that is actually the abusive one. When things are not going your way you get angry and will say anything no matter how hurtful you think it is.

To be honest I've seen you on a few different threads and you quite often add irrelevant stuff in and make things up as a side story.. very wild imagination.

Nobody here wants to talk about children being hit I don't see why you mentioned it? Also my post said I hit my OH it didn't say I waved a knife in his face and performed a castration on the kitchen work top or battered him half to death.

FWIW I think you have done as much as you can to both realise what happened, address it and work on a way forward. I hope your chat included working on rebalancing things so you get more sleep and good luck for the future.

Whatssheonaboutnow · 02/03/2017 21:39

Good luck and be kind to yourselves. Onwards and upwards!

stupididiot26 · 02/03/2017 23:22

We have had a really long chat he has agreed that on his days off or on his late starts we will take on turns getting up.

He's also said that he will be helping out with some cooking and try and make the amount of downtime we both get is abit more fair.

We have also talked about today and how this behaviour must never be repeated by either in future we need to talk.

I'm glad it's worked itself out.
And it has also helped you get more of the help you need.
I'm sorry your DC is unwell and I hope you can get all the help and support from the medial professionals.
Well done for posting.
It did take a lot of guts.
I'm surprised you got such a hard time from a few people.
But onwards and upwards.
Good Luck!!!

Adora10 · 03/03/2017 10:31

OP, you are human, your OH is human, no it shouldn't have happened but hey ho, sometimes shit things happen and yes we are responsible for that but you and your OH have accepted that and will hopefully ensure it won't happen again.

Wish you and your family all the best, it's done, move on.

MyheartbelongstoG · 03/03/2017 10:53

The usual advice for the person getting hit is to pack their bags.

If a man had written that he'd hit his partner this thread would be soooo different.

Whatever the reason, you have no right to hit your partner.

I don't care how tired/stressed anyone is, its wrong. End of.

You sound naive.

sassandfaff · 03/03/2017 11:04

Well, I know in future if I want to be violent to a man -without it being perceived as violence- I'll just barge into them.

It will be OK, because I didn't 'hit' them........
Hmm

MyheartbelongstoG · 03/03/2017 11:23

Sorry, I meant the person doing the hitting packs their bags and fucks off.

To be honest this relationship is dead.
