My Dh died this morning and I don't know how to go on

But I will because I have to, because I have 4 incredible dc he loved.

I'm so so sad, didn't see it coming this time. Been lots of occasions in the past when we thought we'd lose him but he fought back and pulled through. Too much for him this time. One month today we would have been married 24 years.

Being self indulgent posting but I'm trying to put on brave front for dc even though 3 of them are adult and trying to be brave for me. We all loved him so much.

I'm so sorry. You are not being self-indulgent at all. Take one day at a time, one hour, one minute if needed. I am sure you have lots of people who will be there for you. Take care x

I'm so sorry. The level of shock must be horrendous. But it sounds like he knew he was very much loved.

PickAChew · 27/02/2017 21:41

So sorry for your loss, Juan. It sounds like he'll leave a big hole in your lives in so many ways x

If you want this thread moved to somewhere more permanent, it would be a good idea to report your OP to MNHQ asking if they can move it for you. There is a bereavement topic in the body and soul section alongside relationships, if you feel that would be more appropriate.

MammaTJ · 27/02/2017 21:42

So so sorry for your loss. I know nothing I will say right now will make it hurt less but I have to just say that anyway, because I care.

I love that he called us 'The mumsnet', I hope he knows 'the mumsnet' is here for you, and I hope you do too!

He sounds lovely. Thank goodness you have the support of your children, who have been brought up so well by you two lovely people!

Do you want to tell us more about him?

!

What a wonderful outpouring of love for you, from The mumsnet. Love to your children too. It doesn't matter if it's expected or not, nor what age the person is, it is a difficult time for those left behind, but you and your children will all be there for each other.

It sounds like your husband was a great man who left you with a store of wonderful memories to call on for when you are ready.
