Morning Dubh so sorry how could I have left you out? Blush
knickers?

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 11:12

LW oh I have a whole day of pampering planned now. Terrorist is in season, I couldn't get her speyed after the last season as she was still revering from her elbow surgery. So we are both on house arrest.

She is not the tidiest of bitches, it's more of a 'mam, deal with what's happening, I appear to need a wipe' dog knickers it is then. Grin

First step. Shower. Scott Cornwall platinum hair toner. Body scrub. Then bath with Epsom salts and a moisture bomb mask. Then feet. I forgot to get a footner so it's the soap and glory file then a foot moisture mask. Then eyebrows.

Then it's a bacon and egg sandwich on wheat free baps. Then a couple of episodes of the Yorkshire Vet. Love Julian and Peter.

My tickets came today for the Matthew Bourne Red Shoes ballet. So excited! Loved all of his stuff so far. The Red Shoes is one of my favourite films so I hope it stays true.

On batphone so will post this before it disappears. LW I want to thank you yet again, I can't remember ever spending so much quality time on me. My colleague has mentioned that my face has a light to it. Was delighted! Xx

LuxuryWoman2017 · 04/02/2017 11:18

Oh my life Dubh your day sounds like that of a true starlet Smile enjoy it my darling.

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 11:18

elba the way I see it is that you run as far as you are able. It's crossing the line that counts. It doesn't matter how fast you go, how many times you stumble or fall. You just pick yourself up and walk on. You can do this. It's not a grand gesture. You chose to give. And you have. And you are.

We have faith in you. You are running in gales. That is commitment. You have heart. Xx

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 11:21

LW enjoy your pootle round the charity shops. (One of my favourite pastimes Envy ) especially at this time of year. Everyone is having a clear out. Makes for good pickings! Xx

Leviticus · 04/02/2017 11:26

Lux from a lurker - have you read The Outrun by Amy Liptrot? It's the author's journey to sobriety and back home. Phenomenal.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 04/02/2017 11:34

Thanks Leviticus I shall read some reviews, I have quite the list forming now, used to be an avid reader, in the last few years I have normally been too pissed around opportunities to sit with a book Sad this however is changing.

Leviticus · 04/02/2017 11:37

It's one of the reasons I want to be sober - I can't read when I'm drinking and I so miss reading.

Flowerydems · 04/02/2017 11:43

Morning! Hope you guys are all well.

Elba - I can't even run a full minute so you're my hero running in gales. It was bad enough a walk with the buggy in the wind the other day.

Lux - are you looking forward to your social night tonight?

Dubh - the dog knicker situation made me giggle, not fine to be stuck in though.

I'm currently nursing bruises on my legs and backside from continually falling over last night. Honestly no idea what happened but I woke the kids when I stumbled in at 3. Also threatening to kill someone whose been questioning the baby's paternity at my work (me and dh were separated for 6 months but dd is most definitely his, still upsetting though cause I'm stressing about it getting round, tempted to go to my work to complain but think that's making it look more true)
I'm going to try and make something fancy for dinner for a makeshift date night with dh for him being so wonderful lately. Any ideas on a main course would be appreciated

LuxuryWoman2017 · 04/02/2017 12:23

Flowerey how about lamb shanks? Or fish? Simple but delish. I'm slightly nervous but looking forward to seeing friends.

Leviticus join the thread? You'd be very welcome. I would never have come this far without it.

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 12:42

Oh flowery that sounded like a fairly full on evening. Have you an HR dept at work? Rumours can be almighty upsetting, and understandably you want to nip it in the bud.

If no HR would a manager be able to mediate? You may have to apologise for your threat but it was under provocation. If you can, send an email to say sorry and that you would like to settle this amicably. But, make it clear that questioning your family dynamics is not appropriate and if it continues you will be forced to take it further.

Feel for you quine, but today is a new day. Concentrate on a lovely dinner for your dh. Has he a favourite meat, does he like Italian or anything else? Xx

Flowerydems · 04/02/2017 12:49

Aye I think I'm just going to leave it, thankfully only dh heard my peeking threats through tears last night so I'm safe enough.
Think it just hit a nerve cause I know what everyone thought when me and dh were separated and I was on a downward spiral of booze and men but that was well before I fell pregnant.
Like you say today is a new day. I think it's going to be steaks tonight, with some peppercorn sauce and chipper chips, then a cosy down with a film. Feel glad cause to be honest this cemented my decision about not going back

dementedma · 04/02/2017 13:11

Chin up flowery
Dubh you are going to be gorgeous after all that!
My day is pjs and watching rugby. I have peanuts and crisps and don't give a shit.
I start low carbing bootcamp on Monday so will get my arse into gear then.

It'll all settle quine, your family unit is the most important thing. Their love will get you through this.

Enjoy your cosy night in, x

aliasjoey · 04/02/2017 16:49

We won the rugby! 😀

dubh loving that my midnight feast is considered 'classy' because it involved Cornish Yarg instead of a kebab...

SmallFox · 04/02/2017 17:31

Dubh if you can make head or tail of the ballet version of the Red Shoes can you explain it to me, in words of one syllable? I felt utterly stupid all the way through - it it gorgeous, beautiful, and I totally missed both the plot and the sub plot. I haven't seen the film, mind, which might be a fundamental issue. Anyway, I hope you love it and it lives up to your expectations. It sure is a stunning spectacle.

dementedma · 04/02/2017 18:06

Watching more rugby. Is it wrong of me to lust over Maro Itoje????

Laladidah · 04/02/2017 18:20

dubh I read your Cornish yarg comment and instantly began craving it. I am off to go and buy a tonne of the stuff, best cheese ever.

Sorry I have been awol, I did try and post a week or so ago but it didn't work...

Still struggling, still resenting the day alcohol appeared in my life, meh. One piece of good news, I may be getting a new horse, tried her out today before I then drank loads of wine for no reason and fell asleep she seems lovely. We shall see.

Love to you all, hope you are all well?

Love lala.

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 18:23

SmallFox I love his work, I find it dark, thought provoking and unforgettable. Like 2 hours of art. Swan Lake is my favourite so far. I lost count of how many times I went to see it. I cried at every one. Blush

However.....if he farts about too much with my beloved The Red Shoes I'm going to want a word with him, Sir or no. I will update you when I see it. It's not until May. I wondered how he would interpret it. There may or may not be an article in the next day's paper about a raging Dubh storming the stage shouting Wtffffffffffff?!?!?

You must see the film. It's achingly beautiful, Moira Shearer is amazing. I love it. Smile

joey now if ye'd had yer Yarg on a rowie....you'd be up on the highest pedestal in the world. I would have been bowing to the Duchess of Class, Classygow, Classyland. Word. Grin

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 18:24

ma if a bit o lustiness sorts oot yer sair knee then lust awa! Grin

Laladidah · 04/02/2017 18:27

Ps ma I am also watching the rugby (mr l insists upon it), and they are rather yummy aren't they? Lust away...

CuileanDubh · 04/02/2017 18:27

lala a new horse!!!! Oh what's she like? All the lovely horsey gorgeous details right down to her wee hooves! So excited for you m'dear!!! Xxxxx

Laladidah · 04/02/2017 18:34

I've missed you dubh!

Horse is a lovely thing, tried her out today, chestnut mare, 15.2... just waiting on the owner to say yay or neigh (hollow laugh). She's a dressage queen, right up my street, but has been schooled so flipping well to do dressage that she is quite tricky to ride (I have got far too used to bombing about on my little highland...). We shall see...

How is the terrorist? Lalapup is currently snoozing on the bed after being shut in a stable earlier to try and convince her to shut up. Epic fail, pretty sure you could hear her yapping for miles!!!

Laladidah · 04/02/2017 18:39

Ps she has three little white socks on her legs and a little star on her forehead... and a full on chestnut tail... I think I am in love, just hoping her owner says yes to me loaning her, had a lesson earlier and literally turned to stone, nerves got the better of me, and I was flapping around like a loon...

dementedma · 04/02/2017 18:40

My knee is still popping out more bruising! FfS it was a carpeted foyer! How could I have done so much damage?
