Morning all. A horrible rainy day here in Scotland which lets me off the hook with the gardening and leaves me with the thrill of....Spring cleaning. A full on, get this shit hole cleaned up, not just aimlessly tidying up stuff which is lying around. And Dh is going to help!!!!!!!

Spring cleaning sounds good! It's really satisfying doing a big cleanup and getting everything sorted. Clears the mind a fair bit too, at least for me. Good luck, ma.

Right, today is going to a productive day here as well. Going to sort out the piles of washing that need doing, change the sheets, and finally make the veggie burgers for the next few days lunches. Must stop wallowing and start doing.

Thanks 42. Had a night in hotel last night - nice to be on my own for the first time in god knows how long. At work now and feeling guilty because I've hardly seen my DCs this week. And still got to have the chat with DH about where we go from here.

Hello everyone, hopes everyone is ok and having a good day I have two bits of good news. The first is I’ve got my half a stone award, and I’ve lost 2.5 lbs this week, and I was slimmer of the week in diet club so have lots of fresh fruit
Other bit of good news is that I’ve had a phonecall from my old manager at Tesco from when I worked there at Christmas. They’re recruiting checkout assistants and she said that because of how I performed over Christmas, that if I apply I’m pretty much guaranteed a position it is only 11 hours a week but she said that there is a chance for overtime so I’ve applied – part time is better than nothing, and when I started at Xmas I was only on a 10 hour a week contract and I ended up working almost 50 a week so fingers crossed

Good! Have worked really hard today and am somewhat ashamed at how much I have let things slide. The dust behind our bed was actually thick enough to be classed as fur!
However, I am feeling upbeat at how much I have achieved. Not only housework,but have made soup, a roasted peppers sauce for a recipe next week,and have dinner prepped - chicken fried rice!
Front room is clean, tea lights are all lit and glimmering, and I don't give a fuck about anyone else right now.!

I'm ok, things still a bit weird with DH but kids still up so we haven't really been able to talk. I am drinking a bit of wine but planning to moderate tonight. I dunno...I feel unhappy but I can't really pinpoint what is making me unhappy...feel like it's me and my life in general and I don't know what or how to change. Tomorrow my aunt is coming to stay for a couple of nights and she will make me feel better - she is my DM's big sister and really like my DM in so many ways, so she makes me feel more centred, if that makes any sense.

Guests still here, I've hurt myself and am in pain but will survive. Just need to lie down but can't with people here really.

Been awake since 5am. That's an unholy hour, especially on a Sunday. What's everyone up to today? I'm going to brave the downpour in a few hours to go food shopping. Bloody weather!

Shit weather, so no nice walks
Dreadful cough, so no gym
Apprehensive about today tbh. Sunday is just one of my favourite drinking day s I cannot deny it will be difficult to abstain from wine with Sunday roast/ post dinner movie on sofa with the DCs
And DH certainly isn't abstaining which makes it doubly tricky.
However, I have water in the tap, slimline tonic, slimline bitter lemon, "shandy" and lots of tea to help me through.
