Couple swapping

user1484939839 · 20/01/2017 19:23

Hello

New name, you know....

I am on here a lot but not this topic.

Anyway....

Advice please....

Happily married - typical 2 kids mid 30s etc etc

Friends have suggested quite openly that we swap. We are due to stay at thiers tomorrow night, they live about 100 miles away.

We have a relaxed, chatty, friendly relationship with them. Been on holiday as couples. Not that long standing. No deep and meaningful discussions.

The haven't swapped before and neither have we. My husband and I had vaguely thought about it before kids with another couple but it never happened. This couple just sort of suggested we all try the last time we met up which was for dinner rather than staying over. Holiday means that boobs, bums, wobbly bits, and so on have already been exposed.

I have to admit, I fancy the idea, hubby too, and I texted just now to say ummmmm ok.

Thoughts?

Bad idea?

SH

I'm so annoyed, I was given butternut squash as a replacement for courgette, by Sainsbury's! Not going to make squash spaghetti am I!

EggnoggAndMulledWine · 20/01/2017 20:54

Oh fuck no I couldn't do it. I think it's a huge risk to take with your marriage especially with friends.

Patchouli666 · 20/01/2017 20:55

You see, I'd always put hubby as I hate dh with a passion. It's another lol or '...' for me

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2017 20:56

100 miles for a bit of swinging?

Who is babysitting? Or are the DC coming along? Shock

essieestherson · 20/01/2017 20:59

Boodles

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 20/01/2017 21:02

"hubby"?

This is definitely your first post here.

Livelovebehappy · 20/01/2017 21:28

It's sordid and suggests you have no moral compass OP. But I guess you already know that. Sounds like you're both on the same page though so go for it. It's your poor kids I feel sorry for, being brought up in such a dysfunctional situation. But hey, as long as you're both happy I suppose.

PollytheDolly · 20/01/2017 21:31

It's grim.

Just discussed this with my DH2b. He was "no,no,no, no, NO!"

I couldn't imagine being in that situation, tortuous after I would think, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Justaboy · 20/01/2017 21:40

Whatabloodyidiot1 couldn't have put it better myself.

Just don't do it!...

TrippyMcTrapFace · 20/01/2017 23:03
Hmm
Doolallylally · 20/01/2017 23:05

Don't do it.

GinIsIn · 20/01/2017 23:09

There's a courgette shortage?! Shock

But I got a spiralizer for Christmas.... Sad

Couldn't care less about the swinging, but did OP just refer to mid-30s as 'middle-aged'?!?!!!?

YourFace · 20/01/2017 23:12

Post a picture of the other couple and then I'll give you an opinion.

Lemon12345 · 20/01/2017 23:15

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

no

sameoldsameoldthing · 20/01/2017 23:17

As long as you both enjoy the potential of wreaking long-lasting emotional hell on each other and the other two involved for something you will enjoy for about ten minutes, then go ahead.

The internet is making people lose touch with reality, if you ask me....

abbsisspartacus · 20/01/2017 23:28

You can make butternut spaghetti can't You?

Or turn it into chips

harrypoooter · 20/01/2017 23:29

Erm... terrible idea. Also how does one go from casual texting to 'fancy swapping partners' intrigued?

TheNaze73 · 20/01/2017 23:30

We've all done it OP.

Go for it

MollyHuaCha · 20/01/2017 23:32

Yes. Just do it. And now you may delete this thread because it's boring.

wherearemymarbles · 20/01/2017 23:52

Your call but think of the 'what ifs'

Ie what if...
She has a tighter fanny with stonger pelvic floor
She is better a blow jobs
Likes it up the bum and you dont
He has a cock thats just right and piv is better thsn your partner
He is better at oral sex than your partner
She gives you oral sex and you wonder why you ever went out with a man.
.
So it may open your eyes to a whole new hobby, it maybe something for the photo album or it may end your marriage
All unknowns until it happens of course. It may be mythology but Pandora's Box is not wholly irrelevant

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2017 23:53

Speak for yourself TheNaze73.

FuckOffDailyMailQuitQuotingMN · 20/01/2017 23:56

Butternut spaghetti?

Well I never.

CaraAspen · 21/01/2017 00:00

"ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe

Haha

Butterymuffin · 21/01/2017 00:03

The worst what if...one of the kids (yours or theirs) comes in and catches you?

jayho · 21/01/2017 00:08

I had a feta salad for supper, felt a bit louche for January, nothing spiralized btw, I'm not crazy....
