Is he taking up piracy? Otherwise, no.

I told him I'd prefer if he didn't but that it's was his ears! I then told him to take off my dress that he was wearing!Grin

Bertucci I totally agree. Thank goodness my DH thinks the same!

Midlife crisis.

Is he also interested in buying a red sports car and bleaching his hair blonde?

Oh god Bertucci - I was just joking Shock Blush

I don't know, pierced ears look good on the right sort of man - the right sort of man being (imo) a rock n roll type ? Is he a rock n roll type? Grin

My boyfriend has one ear pierced, he is only 26 though. And he hardly ever wears an earring in it anyway. I like it though, he's a musician and a bit of a bohemian type and it suits him 😊

Persuade him to get his tongue done instead. Then your both happy (so I've been reliably informed) Grin

Over here it's a tradition for craftsmen (very old one). So nothing unusual or noteworthy.

His ears - his decision.
If you say no - he can veto your hairdo.Smile

I then told him to take off my dress that he was wearing!

Hmm

Is this a joke? I'm guessing by the grin that you aren't concerned about him wearing your dress? Is it relevant to the ear piercing?

This has reminded me of Eastenders... Les dressing up in Womans clothing.

Tell him to get his nipples done instead lol

Why at 42 does he want his ears piercing 😳

ConfusedGrin think he would look stupid. You got anyway of distracting him and making him forget the whole idea.

If my dh told me he was getting his ear pierced. I would tell him not to expect me to be here when he got back from claires accessories. I do judge men with earrings. They look pathetic imho.

My DH has his ears pierced and is 44. They've been pierced since we met when we were 16 so it's not something I notice now. He has a suited job in the City so rarely wears any earrings. I've never thought of it as a relationships issue though.

Men with earings not for me either. Thankyou for making me smile 😊 I just looked over at DH and tried imagining him with one. Seriously though what your DH does with his ears is up to him - I would be interested to know why he wants to do this though. Is he hunky DB? Do you have kids? What do they think? OP please report back.

I would wonder what his employer would make of it. He won't be able to take them out for a while until they've healed.

Or is he self employed? I think it looks naff, but it's a personal choice I suppose.

OnionKnight · 13/11/2016 16:04

My employer is perfectly fine with my ear piercings, why wouldn't they be? Hmm

Report
NerrSnerr · 13/11/2016 16:50

Whocan why would most employers have an issue with it? Most women I work with have earrings in and no one asks them to take them out.

It would only be an issue in some health care settings

My DH had his ear pierced at about 33, we had a deal, he got it done and I had a baby, fair dos imo. He has a silver disc. He is good looking and beardy so it suits him. Phwoar!

Funny how when anyone does anything that isn't to our taste, they're having a mid life crisis Hmm

I don't expect my DH to have any say in how I have my hair or dress if he likes it that's great but tough if he doesn't. Therefore if I expect to be able present myself to my taste, so he should be able to do the same.
