Spying on whatsap

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 15:36

Hi does anyone know if my activity can be looked at on whatsap ? My partner is very jealous and seems to know who I've been having conversations with on whatsap . When I get in he always asks have I heard from anyone today and if I miss anyone out he will say their name and ask are you sure you haven't heard from then . He's obsessed every time I use my phone asking 'who is that ? What are they saying ? ' . I was wandering how accessible this information is as he has no access to my phone as I constantly have to change my code . This isn't because I have ever done anything wrong it's just that in the past he has took my phone in the night while I've been asleep and helped himself to what he wants

I agree kitty mine was screwing everyone in sight, I just wasn't allowed to.

Marchate · 11/02/2016 18:58

The new phone - did you buy it yourself? And did you take it from a sealed package?

People who assume they have a right to invade your privacy are always in the wrong. They have excuses galore, persuading themselves they are being protective. They're not. They are dangerous to your mental health

Yes I think he's started following me to check at work too . I do nights a lot . I wasn't going to go into too much detail , was just about the whatsap but yesterday morning this got me thinking ..... Was going to my sons assembly .. When I got there it was a church mass ... I thought I didn't really want to sit through mass so i went to meet my girlfriends who I had turned down initially ... The meeting place which was a garden centre about ten miles away .... As I left the girls and turned onto the main rd ... His car came screaming towards me the other side of the rd ... Wtf ? I pretended not to see him and sped up before he turned round ... I was shaking but had done nothing wrong ... He rang me and said pull over pull over so I did ... In a state I felt like I was being accused of seeing another bloke .. He said where have you been who with ?? He didn't believe me .. I said I will call the girls they can tell you he said no I will look like a twat ... He was furious that I said I was going to assembly but i hadn't been .. More worryingly .. How the hell did he know I was there ? He said he followed his instinct because he couldn't get hold of me .. That was where I was last time when I said I was somewhere else in a similar completely innocent situation ...which led me to ask about whatsap on here ...but instead I've opened the floodgates . ThAnks for listening x

Are you on Android or iPhone? If you're on Android, go to Settings, then press More, Application Manager, and swipe to the left then click on All. Is there anything there called Monitor(ing), mspy or anything of a similar name?

AyeAmarok · 11/02/2016 19:22

Has he maybe put a tracker on your phone when he has been "checking your messages"?

This is all quite disturbing, love. Does he get angry? What would he do if, when he asked where you've been, you just said "None of your business"?

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:23

No I'm on iPhone is there anything similar ?

Rainbowlou1 · 11/02/2016 19:25

Lucyloo2222 in sure if you sit and think there will be lots of other instances that have happened.
I thought my ex was being sweet when he wanted to spend so much time with me..he insisted on going to my friends dad's funeral (he had met my friend once) and admitted after it was so I didn't meet anyone else!
And I thought it was sweet when we went clothes shopping and he got so involved in choosing my work clothes, and helping me dye my hair???
All these triggers added up and became very scary.
He used to watch through my letterbox and text me what I was doing..then went mad when I put a curtain up.
Please think carefully about yourself in this relationship.

Iamdobby63 · 11/02/2016 19:25

But how would he know in the first place that you weren't at mass?

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:25

He doesn't get angry in a physical way ever just argumentative . I don't know what he would do I suppose it would make the following and spying a lot worse

Iamdobby63 · 11/02/2016 19:27

Oh wait, bet he is following you via find my iPhone - he could track you had moved. You can turn that off.

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:28

He knew assembly only lasts half an hour so he knew I would be out by then so tried to call and text me . I'm not one of those that has my phone out on table when with friends so didn't hear it which he hates

AyeAmarok · 11/02/2016 19:31

Just be careful Lucy as he might be watching what you post here too.

Sad

You don't need to stay in this relationship, you know.

Iamdobby63 · 11/02/2016 19:32

'Find my iPhone' would tell him the phones exact location.

OnceAMeerNotAlwaysAMeer · 11/02/2016 19:32

The problem isnt going to be solved by switching off your location/activity tracer, you know that.

it's going to escalate.

You need to get out or resign yourself to an increasingly restricted life with a lot of walking on eggshells.

You've a bad un there. Hope you can get free.

ChuffMuffin · 11/02/2016 19:32

Ok, do you know if your iPhone is jailbreak at all?

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:33

rainbowlou1 this rings so true with me , very very similar , he wants to ' support ' me with everything . I can't go to my mums without him turning up . He works from home so I hate being at home now I'm suffocated . He asks me the day before what plans I have and when I don't know he fills my day with lunch etc so I'm with him . He's always really happy if I'm disabled with migraine because he knows I ain't going anywhere

OP posts:
Iamdobby63 · 11/02/2016 19:34

Think about how he knew exactly where to find you.

This isn't healthy for you or even for him for that matter.

Have you ever had it out with him and told him to chose to either trust you or move on?

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:34

All my location services are off

OP posts:
Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:35

How do I know if it's a jailbreak ?

OP posts:
ChuffMuffin · 11/02/2016 19:40

I've had a look online (I have Android not iPhone) and apparently if you log in to iTunes you can see what apps are installed and un install them from there. www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/mobile-phone/how-permanently-delete-unwanted-apps-ios-android-windows-phone-3575588/

Do you know how to search for apps on your iPhone? Look for one called Cydia (it might be hidden), if it's there its jailbroken.

Lucyloo2222 · 11/02/2016 19:40

I've had it out with him but he keeps saying he can't trust where I say I am because I've rebelled a couple of times
