How old were you when you got married?

I was 21, nearly 22. Am 30 now and been married for 8 years, mostly happily

Chatting about it at work, and I looked at the single 22/23 year olds and thought, christ I was married at that age, and how young they seem.

They all say I was far to young to be married. I've never even thought about it like that tbh.

Don't think age has anything to do w/it, tbh.

Emotional maturity occurs at different times for everyone.

In my fondest of fantasies, my daughters meet the love of their lives - people for whom my daughters are also the loves of their lives - when they are relatively young, and are spared all the pain I went through to be who I am.

23rd birthday - now been married 8 1/2 years

know waht you mean about it seeming so young somehow - but he was the one for me, no point hanging around! so glad has had my babies and can spend the next few years enjoying them ....and then have time enough to do my thing...

At 21 I was too busy going out and being irresponsible to even think about getting married, plus DH (then BF) was still in his 'marriage is evil' frame of mind. I was 26 and 7 months pg when we finally got married (it seemed to be easier from a legal pov)

DH and I were both 25. Had been together just over 8 years by then; now been married just over 8 years as well.

I was 28.

Can't even imagine being married at 21, I was so young and inexperienced. Having said that, I met my DH when I was 21 and we're still together 9 years later!

I was married at 25, however I met dh at 17 so been together a while. Moved in together when we were 19.
Know what you mean about looking at younger people now! I look back at me moving out at 19 and think 'I was so young'!

i was 21 too - and it was the best decision of my life.

that was 3 years ago and i wouldnt swap it for the world. OK so people thought i was too young and it wouldnt last blah blah blah but i now have 2 gorgeous girls and am very happy.
