Secrets we want to tell but can't

There was a thread on here a few months ago which was full of confessions and secrets that we can't tell in real life...My secret is that I know the neighbour on one side of me is having a naughty affair with the neighbour on the other side of me. As soon and the husband goes to work and the kids go to school she's off with the single dad on the other side of me...

Has anyone else got a secret??

Really fancy a woman at work and we have a flirty relationship. Got what will be a drunken party this week-do I try it on?

And yes, she's married Blush

A former neighbour of mine has a daughter by a key member of a famous rock band. I say famous - most of you would know the name of the band if nothing else, and some, among the older ones of you, will known the name of the band member (they've sold over 50 million albums worldwide) but their heyday was a long time ago and they are now well into their sixties although still touring and performing in small venues.

The daughter doesn't know, the neighbour's husband doesn't know and the famous muso doesn't know either. He has been married for decades to the same woman.

I have absolutely no doubt this is true. The neighbour was very pretty but, well, let's just say, not the brightest spark in the box. I honestly don't believe she had the imagination to make it up. Even if she had, why would she, and why tell only me? At the time, she told me I was the only person she had confided in - but that was several years ago.

The daughter was the absolute spitting image of the famous muso. She looked nothing like her 'dad' or any of her siblings. She looked exactly like the bloke who the mother claimed was the father and that's why I am in no doubt it is true. I could see it straight away. He has very distinctive features and the girl had exactly the same. I moved away from this family over a decade ago, and the daughter will be all grown up, perhaps with children of her own.

When I asked the neighbour if she had ever thought of contacting the famous muso (who must be very well off financially given their album sales etc.) she is quite philosophical about it and said, why upset her husband/family or his wife and kids or anyone else? She was working as a chambermaid in a posh hotel where this band stayed overnight on tour and she was flattered by his attentions. It was a one-off and she never saw or spoke to him again.

Last year I had a brief passionate affair with a guy at work before he moved away. Two work friends know I had an affair and that the sex was amazing but they would never ever guess who with.

He is reserved, not very confident and to the outside world a religious person (though inside doubting). The chemistry between us was incredible and despite only having had sex with his wife before me he was the best lover I've ever had - dominant and slightly kinky.

On the morning he came into work to say goodbye before he moved away, having left a few weeks earlier, we met early before work at our usual quiet spot and had sex against a tree in the woods.

When people talk about him in the office I think to myself 'If only you knew...'

Ok, here's my 3rd work-related one. I worked at an expensive private country club. Many of the "tennis ladies" were having affairs with the tennis pros on staff. As long as it stayed on the down low, it was not a big deal, but one of the flings became well known. The club fired the tennis pro that was involved. The husband of this "tennis lady" called the club to request that the tennis pro not be fired. He knew of his wife's affair and was okay with it and wanted her to be able to continue it through the club.

A friend stayed with me from overseas, based herself at my house for 3 weeks and was out most days visiting relatives (I thought). Her new husband was overseas and emailing daily, thanking us for our hospitality and inviting us to stay with them. On the last day she broke down and admitted that during the stay she hadn't been visiting relatives she was out shagging random blokes she had hooked up with via our computer and that she was a sex addict. Offloaded onto me and then said she felt better for getting it off her chest. I never spoke to her again and refused her calls when she got home. Never found out if her new dh found out or not. Angry

I've name changed for this, I once gave a v famous rock star a blow job on the tour bus in front of the rest of the band, when I finished they gave me a standing ovation

I'm in awe - this wins so far!

MummyBeerest · 03/08/2014 20:44

My sister, who has always been my mother's "beautiful daughter", has herpes. I'm saddened for her, and know she's going through a very tough time, but she always called me a prude and accused me of being jealous of her because she slept with any guy who looked at her and I told her she was being stupid.

I haven't said a word. But I can't believe it happened, as everyone thinks she's so perfect and gorgeous and made me feel like shit in comparison. My mother would die.

realitygone · 03/08/2014 20:44

This is such a sad thread. Who would allow people near their children??

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 03/08/2014 21:14

Is the famous muso in Fontella's post the very tall one?

fluffyblue · 03/08/2014 21:14

A ex friend of mine ran an escort agency in Merseyside and told me of one of her clients, a married former footballer, he and his wife are seen as a 'perfect' celebrity couple, they both have squeaky clean images and do a lot of family friendly advertising and tv presenting

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 03/08/2014 21:20

Fluffy - was their love eternal? Or were they caught napping?

CuriosityCola · 03/08/2014 21:22

Fluffy, does he have a colour in his name?

CuriosityCola · 03/08/2014 21:23

Haha, excellent cross post Grin

JustSpeakSense · 03/08/2014 21:24

I have a friend who works backstage at events and concerts. One very well known married performer with a reputation as a great family man would always entertain male escorts in his dressing room before gong on stage.

Laska42 · 03/08/2014 21:26

I did sleep with the university lecturer that I have always denied doing so to my friends (and my now DH who i knew at Uni) ..several times . It was my idea..
