Myself included. . A lot of us bemoan the absence of nice single men.. Friends in rl and here pacify us (and trust me it is appreciated!) that there are plenty of decent men out there. . However my best friends a lovely couple will often say the aforementioned and when I ask them if they can think of a nice chap that may suit I get the reply that no one they know is single. So.. in RL how many nice single men do you REALLY know? Just a little poll for fun ..

I know one who is single as far as I know.

I know a few, a couple who are very eligible indeed.

Yep, I know at least two.

I also know a lovely single guy with rather kinky tastes in the bedroom. Seems to be a bit of a running theme.

My brother is 22, supposedlt single for two years and an ex Hollister model. I'm about his singlehood. I have suspicions he has a secret girlfriend, howeve, but nothing confirmed.

I know quite a few selfish bastards wh are single men, but I'm guessing that isn't helpful!

I know five in the their thirties (mostly DP's friends), never married: all are nice to have a conversation with; one is playing the field, one is nice and dates fairly regularly.

Three have social hang-ups in varying degrees that mean they find it hard to win women over in a romantic setting but seem like fundamentally decent people.

All are starting to be aware that their social circle is polarised between them and the married/engaged blokes (everyone else)and that seems to affecting their collective confidence.

My brother is single, early 30s, lovely bloke, good job, kind and generous, tall, quite good looking. Makes a mean cocktail

My lovely, lovely brother. He is a bit shy, and now he's in his 40's, so I think he would find it difficult to have someone living with him. But a thoroughly nice chap. He has lots of friends, who he has had for many years.

Two players in their early 30s. One 40yo still recovering from a break up a year ago. So nothing suitable here, I'm afraid.

I know a very lovely, VERY solvent, recently divorced 50s but doesn't rule out a second family - man.
His ex wife thought he was a bit dull. He is a bit, but I quite like that in a man (introvert)

This thread made me slightly nervous so I've just been perusing the match.com catalogue (shouldn't really be looking for many a month). There are a LOT of blokes on there. Is it safe to assume the nice looking ones have unconventional sexual tastes then?

Oh, there is my half db. 33, lives at home, Aspie. He is nice but not partnership material, I wouldn't have thought.

One nice guy who I think is still in the closet.

One is high-maintenance and clingy.

One has Aspie traits and not particularly gorgeous; also rather right-wing and very outspoken.

One is an out-and-out bastard when in a relationship.

One is a nasty, abusive man with many rough edges.

One is a serial cheater and game-player. Thinks he is It.

Another high-maintenance one who doesn't look great.

One is extremely ardent Tory supporter, and can't talk to women.

Another nice guy who is definitely in the closet.

All the above are in their late 20s to late 30s.

Yeah...going through my Facebook list there are definitely more single women than men! all the nice single straight men are taken and quite a few of the not-so-nice ones too.

It would seem so ellie! Its bloody depressing. There are 4 single parents (female) in my small street. Where are the male counterparts. ? Not one single man. Apart from a very sweet widower in his 80's

Is it a population thing? Are we really taking over the world while they are dying off?

I know a lovely single man, who I live with, get on well with snuggle in bed with and a bit more but he isn't looking for a relationship.

I also know someone who is single, works long hours, a fantastic dad but the wrong side of the atlantic ocean for me!!!
