How long does it take to 'get over' and how to immunise myself ?

So, it's been nearly 4 weeks since being dumped for yoga lady. Bloody hard, long days and crap sleepless nights. Body is falling apart . He has done this previously (2.5 yrs ago) but returned 5 weeks later. We are NC but am panicking at the thought of him tipping up again with his "hi honey, how are you?" emails. I lurk here to distract myself and there's lots of good advice but I still feel weak and confused and like there is more to come . I only say this as I know his behaviour patterns. Last time we spoke was weeks ago and he said see you in a couple of weeks . Not sure why? Argh. In addition, Has anyone truly honestly stayed 'friends' with an ex? (Apart from Simon Cowell).

Did I tell you of my mindless sex dalliance with a neighbour earlier this year? It was exhausting! I had to put a full face of makeup on to put the bins out!!

Well, this will out me in RL but I was online dating and started chatting online to someone who, it turns out lived about 15 houses away from me!! We had a very brief (six week) "Relationship" which was great fun but ultimatley not what I was looking for so I ended it. But we did have a blast!

I's been chatting to him for a few weeks online when I took a closer look at his porfilepic (him on his bike) and recognised the block paving. Then freaked him out by telling him his address. I still see him around and we stop for a chat

I'm cooking spag bol which, sadly, meant I had to open a bottle of red to put some in it. Tragic.

Waiting for lovely BF to arrive and listening to the winds. Here in Essex we are braced for the worst tidal surge in living memory. Bearing in mind that 100s were killed in Essex in the floods of 53, that's some scary shit!!

I used to live on Canvey Island where 60+ people were killed in '53 and still have lots of freinds on there. But I'm about 7 miles inland now so sadly we should still be able to function tomorrow

Well what a bloody saga I've had!! Snugged up in front room with stove on watching TV today so only realised an hour ago I have no heating or hot water!! Have just had to go to my neighbours house for a shower!! Plumber can't come until tomorrow and house is freezing good excuse to go to bed I suppose

It was a not sure but I'll give it another go hmmmmm. Nice night, lots of chat, laughs and generally taking the mickey out of each other. He is just so much younger which was very obvious at times. Sex has promise, it was good but not wow, he needs some guidance, just need to decide if I want to put the effort in when I know it's going nowhere.....
