Flipper, oh no, at least you don't need to procure the services of a private detective. Imagine that, wish I'd got one on LT. Maybe I should set myself up as one for women who are dating. It must be more exciting than my job. Trouble is I don't like driving long distance, so that wouldn't work.

YM is back in communication, so bring on the meaningless fling!!

LT and I are broken up and I'm moving on up or down, but still in touch meh!

Hi just popped in and read some of your posts ;) I'm trying to decide if Im ready yet to stick my toe in the dating pool. H left 8 months ago, change my mind daily Confused ......although I did walk the dog twice around the park today to try to accidentally bump into another dog walker Ive bumped into before......

Everything what you have to remember if that you're very unlikely to meet anyone you want an actual relationship with for a while, so it really will be just dating in all likelihood. As long as you're feeling emotionally robust enough to deal with the dickwadary OD can throw up (although I don't think it's remotely inevitable) I say go for it.

Yaayyyyyy!!!! Fabulous date. And hand holding (and stroking, very encouraging sign) occurred over dinner, followed by lovely lovely kissing in his car outside my house.

I am in desperate need of the crash carp. Am stupidly happy, so is he going off his daft grin. Fucking ace!!!!

aye second what stranger says. of course, hope you meet someone amazing straight off, but realistically it'll be "dating" for a while.

i'd say personally i've found about 1 in every 4-5 first meets "take" in terms of "exciting enough to push further and think Smile"

(and those 4-5 meets are out of a LOT more contact online, chasing - a bit, being chased, spotting red flags. it sounds tedious but i think as long as one knows when to give it a break and enjoys the "meeting new peeps" thing its fine!)

Yes I waved my wrists about like a demented Simon Rattle. That's what swung it, of course. Also did lip stroking and hair twiddling and looking deep into his eyes. And lots of pratting about and laughing and just having a good night.

Actually as soon as I got there and he got up to give me a hug and a kiss, and then gave me another bit longer kiss, I knew it would be okay. Then over dinner he was telling me when he booked he'd asked for a quiet table for a romantic dinner. Then he held my hand a bit whilst we were waiting for dessert, lovely. And then some kissing too which was very good, could have done it for ages but I said I had to go in. He is a great kisser, all bodes well.

He's just sent a text to say thanks for my lovely company tonight.

This is all very, very good.

Hello everyone Grin

I've missed you all, been so busy with work the last month I haven't been here at all.

I'm still seeing Oil Rigger. You know the rule that says "it's all BS until it actually happens"? It's all happening. He's exactly who he has seemed, does what he promises, means what he says. I haven't said it out loud yet, but I totally love this man. I've never felt so "right" in anyone's company. When he hugs me or just holds me, everything else falls away and I can relax. I feel like that sounds silly, but it's true.

We've agreed we are exclusive and are both off POF, but we're neither of us involving our children for a while yet. I this does turn into a long term thing my parents will freak, because he works in fracking which is a terrible, nasty thing. I hate it too, but I'm not prepared to pass up someone who may make me happier than anyone else before on the basis of a job which can be changed.

Sigh. Lovely Oil Rigger [sop]

OWW what fantastic news, I'm so pleased for you, are you seeing him again soon ?

Rafaella that sounds lovely and you sound very happy.

Everything hello, my belief is that the dating lark works best if you treat it as a bit of fun so if you think you fancy seeing where flashing your wrists at strange men gets you and you want to give us loo updates, go for it !

New I hope you're feeling happier this morning.

Wine a sexy copper ? Blimey, I didn't know they existed.

Morning to everyone and sorry I'm too rubbish to remember names for more than 15 seconds.

Unusually thrusting and direct email from Talent Show overnight, he wants to meet up this weekend Shock. I'm suddenly feeling a bit nervous

Morning all! Lots of good reports... Grin

Still getting texts from Mr Lovely. Weekend plans still intact. I like him. I like him a lot. He makes me smile and laugh a lot. He makes me feel like I'm the most desirable person in the room, like he's genuinely interested in me.

I'm trying not to overinvest but its hard to stay detached and unemotional when someone is just so damn lovely and makes me feel so good!

ALittleStranger · 02/07/2013 07:32

Hooray for all the loveliness. As a special treat to OWW and Title we'll keep the crash carp to one side for a while and let you enjoy the silly grins for a bit.
