Here's the latest thread for everything dating related. All welcome :)

OP posts:
48howdidthathappen · 31/03/2013 00:44

He wants me to. I think it would be unfair. I can't give him what he wants.

JulietteMontague · 31/03/2013 00:45

He's before my time on here hence the questions, I bet you're buzzing. You've done it, is R&R still getting the fancy pants? Grin

VelvetSpoon · 31/03/2013 00:45

Scrazy you might be right. A girl I know is on her 3rd relationship since the New Year Hmm. She's a nice enough girl, but I wouldn't say she was as attractive or intelligent as me. She is 5 years younger, and a lot thinner. And clearly VASTLY more successful with men.

48 blimey! will you stay in touch, or would you feel awkward doing so knowing he loves you? (I think I would, but then as I've only ever had one man in love with me in my entire life, I'm probably not best placed to comment).

JulietteMontague · 31/03/2013 00:47

Velvet those are extended shags, not relationships. Are these men of quality?

48howdidthathappen · 31/03/2013 00:51

Juliette No he didn't say it, I don't think he knew then, although he was tearful at our last parting.
He was going before we met family and work.

48howdidthathappen · 31/03/2013 00:54

I shouldn't have gone Sad fucking hell.

JulietteMontague · 31/03/2013 00:55

Timing is a cunt sometimes.

MirandaWest · 31/03/2013 00:55

Three relationships since new year isn't very long per relationship. And I wouldn't say tha makes her any more successful with men.

OP posts:
VelvetSpoon · 31/03/2013 00:56

Juliette, I don't really know any of them, but they seem decent enough. And whether or not they're relationships in a true sense, it's still a lot more than I've had.

MirandaWest · 31/03/2013 00:56

Are you ok 48?

OP posts:
MirandaWest · 31/03/2013 02:00

It is now 2:00. Was odd seeing the clock change like that....

OP posts:
48howdidthathappen · 31/03/2013 02:01

I feel really bad about it.

JulietteMontague · 31/03/2013 02:01

48 you don't need to do anything although it probably feels like it. You don't have to make any decisions at all, R&R is installed, mr oz will wait. That's the right way round for now and if things change, fine. You have had the wind taken out of your sails, normal to wonder. Have some Wine and sleep

VelvetSpoon · 31/03/2013 02:03

Miranda, I think 3 relationships in 3 months is still preferable to no relationships in 4 years.

48, it has probably all been a bit of a shock. Sleep on it, and see how things feel tomorrow once you've had more time to process everything.

JulietteMontague · 31/03/2013 02:06

Velvet no point in comparing, it sounds like she goes for anyone rather than someone.

WarmFuzzyFun · 31/03/2013 08:02

Morning All!

48 it is good that you met him. But things are different, your feelings for him will residue, but not disappear completely. I am sure I am not the only one who has feelings for someone in the past where because of one thing or another things just couldn't proceed. You have been lucky, it was requited Smile

It will take time for your residual feelings to switch off, but they will. Now go put on your fancy smancy underwear and give R&R the time of his life!

WarmFuzzyFun · 31/03/2013 08:34

Oh and Velvet (morning!) I think that as long as you are happy, keep going. You are not settling, you are doing what you want and what makes you happy. (I can't imagine how difficult having only first dates for 4 years has been, and I honestly hope to not find out.) Please wring every ounce of joy, happiness and fun you can out of your situation, I am sure there is a lot about it that makes you happy. I think things will work out, and I am coming to the wedding!

WarmFuzzyFun · 31/03/2013 08:36

Hey, it is good to be the only one up Grin

Bant · 31/03/2013 08:54

The rest of us are just gorging on chocolate, wff

MirandaWest · 31/03/2013 09:03

I have done my egg hunt. Was very good Grin

OP posts:
OhWesternWind · 31/03/2013 09:29

I've hidden my eggs but no-one has been to look for them yet. I bet there will be one we don't find until May!

Happy Easter! [busmile]

Oh dear 48 - I really hope things seem a bit better now you've slept and that your mind is clear.

Sorry Velvet if I upset you. I really didn't mean to.

totheteeth · 31/03/2013 09:51

VelvetSpoon how can you say she is more succesful with men if she's on her third relationship in three months? That is not success. And what makes them relationships in your eyes?

Your post made me very sad. Sad enough to come out of eavesdropping and post.

If you don't want to go back to PoF, OKstupid and the others then don't do it, at least for a bit. But acknowledge that you're not in a relationship with C. He's not giving you what you say you want either. You say he's improved your life but that does not come across in what you post. What makes you think he will want a relationship eventually? It's been going on for months, what's going to change? It's just as likely that he'll get his act together, move out of his parents and move on to someone else.

This is harsh maybe, but if you were an OP starting a thread to discuss your relationship I think you'd be dealt some much more constructive advice than this thread dishes out.

Movingforward123 · 31/03/2013 09:58

Happy Easter everyone Grin I hid my eggs too and dd has found them all apart from two tiny ones Wink

So I've been speaking to a guy on Pof, I let him on my Facebook, and it says he's in a relationship, I then continued to look on his page and within the last two weeks he seems to have broke up with someone due to her cheating (yes he posted this on Facebook) then a few friends commenting on his page saying he needs to stop looking for the one and she will find him. And saying he's such a nice guy etc.

For a start Im not into people posting their whole live in Facebook, also people saying he should stop looking makes me feel like he is just searching and searching!

But they are all saying he's such a mice guy, so do you think I'm being abit harsh?

I should of listened to Bant and not let him on my Facebook Confused

48howdidthathappen · 31/03/2013 10:06

Mr R&R is being a arsehole. He is ignoring me. The fucking idiot. I love him.

KinNora · 31/03/2013 10:11

Is he ignoring your texts, 48 ?
