Is this normal/should I be concerned - DW polishing the pearl regularly, but sex is once a month at most?

We're both in our mid-thirties, married ten years, one DD (aged 3). My wife is masterbating on average once a week, but we're having sex once a month on average (13 times this year!) ... my advances (once or twice a week) are pushed away. I need advice ... should I just accept this as normal / should I be doing something to differently?

Anybody still feeling this bloke deserves a fair hearing?

Wonder why this thread has gone dead?

No one coming back to carry on the 'double standards' argument? No?

YouOldTinsellySlag · 09/12/2012 19:57

I think the OP is getting a hard time.

I can't believe he has been criticised for coming on here to talk about it with strangers on the internet. Um- isn't the whole point of Mumsnet? that you can talk to strangers on the internet when something bothers you or worries you?

And these comments telling him to do more housework. How do you know that he doesn't? It's sexist to assume he is not helping with the housework because he is male.

And lastly, I think if my DH was wanking every week but only had sex with me once a month, I'd be really hurt and confused as well!

OP- ask her why she wants sex without you and what you can do to improve the situation. Also tell her it hurts your feelings. I wouldn't like it at all!

you mean the OP that posted one other bad taste thread then got banned.

That OP?

BlameItOnTheChoirOfAngels · 09/12/2012 19:59

Youtinselly, read the thread. The op was a troll and has been banned.

YouOldTinsellySlag · 09/12/2012 20:03

Ooops. I read about five pages, then rushed to the end feeling all full of righteous justice. Bolleaux. I hate it when that happens.

BlameItOnTheChoirOfAngels · 09/12/2012 20:18

Xmas Grin worry not, we've all been there. at least you've had the good grace to say "oops"

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 09/12/2012 20:23

Yep, we can all admit when we were wrong. Some people choose not to, of course.

Alisvolatpropiis · 09/12/2012 21:37
