No, I think Lilibet's got it.

I do have some experience of this myself as I seem to become rather less sexual when pregnant and also go off kissing. With me, it's just pregnancy but I can see that some people might feel like this all the time. Part of it is having an extra-sensitive sense of smell - have you tried using v subtle aftershave or anything like that, dl?

When I'm like this, the only thing that might persuade me is some serious romancin' as Northerner suggests, plus a recently showered and very lightly perfumed dp. Well, at least it would if I could drink wine.

Hope baby comes soon!

But back to the thread - I do have to agree that this situation sounds dire if it's permanent.

SenoraPostrophe · 08/01/2004 14:28

or maybe technique would help. Didn't see nosnogs' post before writing that.

M2T · 08/01/2004 14:28

lillibet - Its not just about lack of sex drive. His DW is making up weird excuses to either not have sex, or to put DL off having sex with her by making it so unpleasant. Thats why I thought it sounded so deliberate!

As for work romance.... been there. Not going into details, but it CAN be done. (so to speak).

Is she generally quite a fun loving, outgoing person DL? Or is she this cold with everyone? I mean is she quite close to here family and friends? Or is she generally quite standoffish about showing affection to them too?

codswallop · 08/01/2004 14:28

Any way yes go onto her phone and looke for text messages inbox

"As for bodies, I don't think she likes mine, but I can't blame her (fat bastard that I am), "

DL, I realise that there's an element of DL-stylie joking in there, but IME once the initial fancying is over and the relationship is established, the easthetics of the body in question really don't matter that much (lucky for my DP who is nurturing his Inner-Texan).

She sounds squeamish and /or fastidious. Lots of people (as M2T says) have their foibles and favourites, but kissing, sweating, oral sex and other snippets you have mentioned in the past paint a picture of someone who, if she is still in love or wants to be, may have a problem. Sexual, emotional, psychological, I wouldn't be the best person to say, but intimate contact with at least SOME bodily fluids is part and parcel of a relationship, in't it? (Oh No! Now you'll describe some ghastly bodily fluid appetite that she DOES have and blow this theory out the window!)

codswallop · 08/01/2004 14:29

LO at texan - can I use that gag and pretend its mine>

nosnogs · 08/01/2004 14:30

Also, nice flavoured lip balm that smells good enough to eat seems to improve the desire to kiss deeply or both drink some strong alcohol like brandy ...

FairyMum · 08/01/2004 14:39

Your DW don't like moisture? How very clinical ?
I haven't read the whole thread, but I would be really upset if my Dh started kissing me without tongues saying he didn't like "moisture"......

M2T · 08/01/2004 14:42

In response to DL's private comment to me....

Get the Planner to do it. Or the QS!
Don't you have a Tech Clerk??

Blu · 08/01/2004 15:17
