Quarry man sorted, waiting for optician to pick me up for a meal, drinks and RAMPANT SEX!! Children are at my mum's so the night is mine!

Yogagirl17 · 06/10/2012 19:29

Ok, if what we need is to restore our faith that there are at least a few decent non-nobbish men out there, I have lots of stories I can share.

-My friend J. She's pretty, clever, funny, artsy. Divorced for 7 years, tried OD & RL and dated some awful men. Stopped looking. Recently got set up by a friend, she wasn't at all sure about him but 6 weeks down the line they're still seeing each other, she says he's great, things are very relaxed by she really likes him. Took her 7 years.

-My friend S. Tall, smart, glamorous. Divorced for 5 or 6 years. Been with this lovely, sweet, quiet, short man for 2 years now. They don't live together but see each other a couple of times a week - sometimes with DCs sometimes without. She says she's never been happier.

-And, for what it's worth, Mr60. Things haven't worked out between us but he is basically a really great, decent guy who is going to make some woman very, very happy one of these days.

Any of that help at all?

Yogagirl17 · 06/10/2012 19:30

Western that sounds PDG Smile

Waits impatiently for update from Snape

Hope you are enjoying a moderately peaceful Sunday, DC allowing!

watchoutforthatsnail · 07/10/2012 09:13

Focus or make me feel god awful. Gad a text from puppy while i was out that i didnt yet respond to...

But i found £20 on the way home, which was a bonus. He paid for everything, despite my insitance too, which was also nice. And we just have so much in common that its nuts and really funny.

The kiss was good. I went all tingily, which hasnt happened for, i cant remember when, and i wanted to invite him in, but didnt. Had a bit of a snog and left.. . Leaving him wanting more :)

he said it was unlike him to move so quickly but that he couldnnt help it as im so captivating, charasmatic and attrctive. I like it when people say things like that about me

a bit about him: 37. English and drama teacher at the best school in the area. Deputy head of sixth form and trade union rep. Professional cyclist. Lead guitar in one band. Lead singer in another. Has his own house ( 3 mins fron me) and car . Dresses in a 90's grunge/ 70:s rock way . Has thinning long hair, bad teeth.... but tgey add to his charm . Does that sleeve fold up thing when he takes his coat off . Swoon for nice forearms :)

snape- still alive, no death by rum?

Death by lesbians rum, indeed! My head is killing me!

He dropped by to pick me up, walked down the front stairs to a 'wow!' Blush fuck-ton of rum, he came-with whenever I went out for a cigarette, prompting room full of lesbians to sing 'is she really going out with him?' on our return... Hmm really lovely to see the ex and her gf, although gf kept loudly questioning 'where do you two keep popping off to?' & when I went out for a cigarette with her, she asked me what was going on and because I was very drunk, I might have told her that it hasn't really changed and I'm still in love with him... Oops.

He asked about the prof, I said I might be seeing him this week, but it wasn't a big deal. Spoke about past relationships a bit, I think his self esteem is so fractured that he doesn't believe anyone could be interested in him. Sad

Then we went home, ages to wait for the train, he laid on the seats with his head on my lap, my hand tucked inside his shirt and the other stroking his hair as he made little 'mmmmmm' noises. got a cab from the station, holding hands in the back seat, despite his offer to go back to his, I was tired and went home. Kiss on the cheek goodnight.

Got an invite to the coast for his birthday at the end of the month. :)

As to where we are, I don't know. I remember looking at his foot and thinking 'oh. I love that foot.' Sad I'm an idiot.

watch I like the pirate-teacher. He sounds great. :)

western?!?!

watchoutforthatsnail · 07/10/2012 10:44

Snape. see, everyone sees it too . Its like the worlds most frustrating thing. What did she say when you told her? How can pm be so dim? Can i buy the movie rights?

:)

OP posts:
snapespeare · 07/10/2012 10:48

I'm not entirely sure what she said (rum-haze!) I think it was a bit of sympathetic general, 'oh it must be difficult' noises, but I'm pretty damn certain it wasn't 'oh, he's in love with you as well, he just won't do anything about it...'

Happily they both hated his ex-I-refused-to-meet. They both adore me. [preens]

watchoutforthatsnail · 07/10/2012 10:51

And why wouldnt they :)

And he ' wow' ed you .... green dress/ red shoes?

OP posts:
snapespeare · 07/10/2012 10:58

Short black indecently tight dress with incidental sequins, big stompy boots, hair done 'properly' make up etc.

snapespeare · 07/10/2012 11:00

He's stuck a pic on his fb, I'm going to nick it, I look thin! (ish)

watchoutforthatsnail · 07/10/2012 11:11

i LOVE thin pics.
!!!
( incidentally they are few and far between as i seem to have gained all i lost at the beginning of the year, ho hum... dont seem to have had any complaints)
Sounds like a fab outfit. I need new boots, mine are falling apart. it seems quite hard to find just standard black biker boots anywhere. I dont want fur onthem!!!

What happened to the green dress? i loved that green dress!!!

You know, i think PM loves you, but then, from what you have said, doesnt believe it, or think that hes worthy of it... and then thinks that if he does go for it, he will fuck it up, on purpose, because hes not worthy of it.

I think the notebook is a very very lovely ( and cunning ) way of hopefully showing him otherwise...

OP posts:
Yogagirl17 · 07/10/2012 11:20

Snape, sounds like a wonderful night. I agree with watch - it so sounds like he just doesn't think he deserves you, that you're not really interested, seriously jealous of the prof...

snapespeare · 07/10/2012 11:20

i'll save the green dress for his birthday, because that would look better in the film... Wink especially if its raining and i storm off because he still doesn't get it, even with the evidence in his hands...but then he'll run after me, catching up with me under the pier... i must stop watching Richard Curtis films.... :)

the notebook is a cunning plan! but even the most cunning of plans sometimes goes tits up...

watchoutforthatsnail · 07/10/2012 11:51

pirate LOVES richard curtis films, says love actually is ' perfect' :)
its my fave christmas film.. you know, just after you have decorated the house, and baked some gingerbread or something, and the house is all twinkling, and smelling good, then you put the fire on and snuggle up to watch it, because, love, actually, is all around.

i think we should pen a screen play.......

he HAS to get it, he just has to.

OP posts:
hatesponge · 07/10/2012 12:59

hurray for your fab evenings you two, makes me feel all smiley and happy :)

OhWesternWind · 07/10/2012 13:06

Oh I do like this man (so far...). Had a lovely meal out, lots of chatting and laughing. I find it really easy to be with him and when we were driving back there were a few silences, but comfortable silences iykwim.

The big secret? Nothing awful, something I'm glad I know and also glad that he felt he could tell me, but I don't think it's going to affect things.

Spending the night with him was brilliant, apart from me snoring Blush. Very sexy man, bit of kink but not too much, just enough for me to know that things could get very interesting ...

So, the downside ... Why is there always one? He is going through a lot of difficulties with his ex, and although I don't think there's any chance of them getting back together, he is in a very acrimonious situation with her and seems to be spending a lot of time and energy on this. I am not sure if he's really ready for anything else. Not sure what to do here - probably nothing, will see how it goes.

MadameOvary · 07/10/2012 13:15

Snape
How completely romantic and lovely.
I am envisioning falling rose petals drifiting down on you both. Grin

snapespeare · 07/10/2012 14:45

:) madameO with your Facebook loveliness. Wink

The rum-forgetfulness has lifted and I remember stroking his forehead when his head was in my lap and whispering 'it's all going to be fine...' And (horror!) kissing his arm when he was lying in my lap.

If this goes tits up and I have to walk away, it's going to be such a bitch to miss nights like those. Sad you will all have to meet me online and sing 'I will survive' and so, so many Adele songs with me as I weep into my rum pillow.

NicholasTeakozy · 07/10/2012 15:58

Snape, PM sounds quite a bit like me, that he's not good enough. In my case it's true. :o If he doesn't melt when you give him the stetson and especially the notebook I'll be very surprised.

If it goes tits up we'll be weeping too. We all want a happy ending, even cynical fuckers like me.

snapespeare · 07/10/2012 16:07

Oh, forgot. Also got him a kilo of white chocolate mice, because its all he ate as a teenager.... You'd think the mice alone would get his pants off.... Wink

FateLovesTheFearless · 07/10/2012 16:12

Snape - if it all goes wrong we will all be weeping with you. I am sure it won't though, it does sound like pm likes you to me. Smile

Well folks, my plan to remain single forever after splitting from S three weeks ago has gone horrendously wrong. Hmm had my very own platonic male friend surprise me...ah well. Naked adele singing and twenty cats can wait a while I suppose. Smile
