Morning all.

Talking of Toast Toppers, he took 2 tins of that as well. Yes, really.

My pantry is now full of Heinz cheese ravioli and Tesco sausage and beans.

You're ok, atosilis, mush pretty much describes most of it! Grin

StuntGirl · 29/08/2012 00:53

Oh Lou so glad the counselling went well. Talking it out with an unbiased party will, I hope, help you with your decision. Know that whatever you decide you're strong enough to deal with it.

I'm really Sad that Lou's thread has turned into something of a bunfight again, and I'm pretty certain Lou will feel Sad too.

I haven't posted too much on this thread as I know I got involved with telling posters to fuck off on the last thread - which was neither polite nor helpful really.

I now refuse to engage apart from to offer some light hearted relief and to continue to support Lou.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that's not an issue. I think it becomes an issue when the same points are repeated time and time again by the same posters.

Lou I'm here both on 'tinterweb and in RL to support you in whichever way possible, you know you've only got to ask.

I'm now taking heed of what RebeccaMumsnet asked as I do not want to see the thread pulled.

And I really should get some sleep Grin

It has been years since I had onion marmalade and I think I will make some this weekend.

LurkingAndLearningLovesCats · 29/08/2012 04:11

Hey Lou, not witty like other posters, and have boring taste in food (other than my TRUE LOVE...Pickles, and dipping any sort of biccy/chip into salsa) and I cannot offer advice on anything, so I'm just posting to show my support, and tell you something....

We're adopting another cat on Saturday. Guess what his rescue name is? LOU!! Shock Going to change it, obviously. Grin

cenicienta · 29/08/2012 04:51

BabylonPI I'm glad you're still around.

Lou it sounds like this counseling could really help you to move forward, I really hope so.

The bit about your friend thinking Chutney was a bit "smarmey". It's funny isn't it how everyone else sees it but you just don't, until you step away. You're probably going to start to realise a whole load of things you didn't notice before.

Jux · 29/08/2012 05:24

Hey Lou, on the subject of chutneys; we were given a jar of special Devon ginger and chilli chutney. It is very delicious, we had it with duck'n'orange sausages this evening. Utterly yum. PM me if you'd like a jar.... Grin

Bossybritches22 · 29/08/2012 07:23

Well said Babylon PI I think we need a sitting in hands bench! Grin

Math like the Johnny story...... Wink

Bossybritches22 · 29/08/2012 07:25

oooh how rude of me ....Morning Lou!!

What's the new thread going to be called?

mistlethrush · 29/08/2012 07:31

I hope you've had another good night Lou!

sugarice · 29/08/2012 07:37

Morning Lou, hope you slept ok.

skyebluesapphire · 29/08/2012 08:22

Morning Lou. Hope you slept well. I'm so tired after sharing my bed with a wriggly 4yo! , who woke up and demanded cuddles at 4am (yawn).

shall I have crumpets or muffins for breakfast?

Doha · 29/08/2012 08:28

Morning Lou--don't work too hard today

Skye--be bold and have both Smile

BabylonPI · 29/08/2012 08:43

Oh pants it can't be morning already can it?? Yawn!!!!

Morning Lou, in the wise words of my STB3YO "Nice sleep lady?" Grin

PeshwariNaan · 29/08/2012 09:05

Morning Lou, hope you are feeling good this morning. xx

Shocked about the weirdness on this thread. In particular Porto have you not read Lou's responses in the thread at all? She has stated several times unequivocally that the main reason she's conflicted about the pregnancy is that she will be tied to Chunt for the remainder of the child's life. In fact she's been saying it since she found out she was expecting!

Amazed that some are pretending to offer useful advice while actually criticising Lou for not saying something that she actually has said several times, in writing.....!

Beckamaw · 29/08/2012 09:14

Math - very good analogy.
Grin

brianbennettfan · 29/08/2012 09:17

chinley Imo that was a really lovely post, a joy to read Thanks

Thanks too to Lou, hope work isn't too hard and that you haven't had any post-receipt-of-solicitor's-letter-type rumblings from Picalilli Pants.

Lots of love x x

Abitwobblynow · 29/08/2012 09:21

I think what Lou really wants, is to be listened to. With accompanying teasing, expressions of outrage, recipes, fantasising about sticky karma ends ...

But ultimately this is her journey and a very painful one it is too.

It is not within our power to MAKE someone listen to our advice, nor is it in our power to ENSURE they discern the good from the bad and POINT it out to them. We simply aren't that god-like, Porto.

mistlethrush · 29/08/2012 09:26

bbfan I love the name 'picalilli pants'!

Abitwobblynow · 29/08/2012 09:26

Anyone got a recipe for chilli non carne?

To the borlotti haters: they are the traditional beans in chilli, in Mexico (if they are also called pinto beans that is)

NotGeoffVader · 29/08/2012 09:33

Abit I make mine up as I go, but I can pm you a recipe if you like.

Lou - as you can see the thread has filled up with a great deal since you last posted. There is plenty here for you to sort through, and I am sure that all the valid points raised will already have been taken on board, as you certainly sound as though you have things in hand. I do also realise that there are some minutae that you may not post, or some things you may not post about because you are still considering the best approach.

Here to listen and support.

brianbennettfan · 29/08/2012 09:38

Why, thank you, mistlethrush, too kind.

And I love your nickname (I love my garden birds.)
