.............. sorry, ran out of ideas tonight! Grin

Hello, tis me, Mouse and I have a very abusive relationship with alcohol, vodka in particular.

Welcome to the Battle Bus, full of totally Brave Babes all on their own personal journey to sobriety. Some are there, some are still on their way and some aren't quite ready yet but stay on the Bus for a good old natter Smile

Wherever you are in your quest to get back control of your drinking, we've all been there too so you're not alone, not by a long shot.

Come take a seat and say hello.

If you'd like to know the history behind this amazing journey, you can follow the links back HERE

See you soon Smile x

Grin Mouse I love the title.

Just popping in to reserve a seat. Think I will sit right at the front of the bus today, just behind Silver and see where this journey takes us all . . .

Hello everyone! Crikey - I only started posting on the bus today, and the thread has moved on already!

Am still sober today, and am hanging in there...

Carrie370 · 27/04/2012 21:59

Isindebetterplace if it's helpful to you, then don't worry about anyone else's take on it. I will be reporting my progress (and hopefully not my lack of it) on here, and those who don't like it are free not to take any notice.

Planning an early night with a cup of camomile and a hot water bottle. Day one achieved :)

venusandmars · 27/04/2012 22:25

Phew!

I just logged on and saw 995 posts, then 998 and I started to panic about a new thread.

Well done mouse for being on top of what was happening

venusandmars · 27/04/2012 22:32

I have not seen all the posts on the last thread - there's about 3 pages since I last logged on (this morning!), but I'd say whoever you are, whatever you are doing, KEEP ON posting. It helps me, and it might help you. I don't care whether you are going round the same cycle again. For god's sake I know I did that often enough for years and years and years and years. And still I managed to get off.

Fairenuff · 27/04/2012 22:34

I have had lots of false starts too. And none of us knows what will happen in the future. We are all on Day 1 every day. That's the only day that matters really.

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 27/04/2012 22:47

Sunlit we are all with you, hang in there.

Night Babes xxx

aliasjoey · 27/04/2012 23:04

Did you babes know that the wikipedia entry for Mumsnet states 'a left-leaning online network' ?

What have I stumbled into? Will I end up some kind of new age hippy, knitting my own yogurt and breastfeeding my 10-year old?

Oh god, I've just realised I have a breadmaker - what kind of world have I been sucked into? Wink

Sunlituplands · 27/04/2012 23:10

Alias - not me - I am & ever have been a Libertarian.

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:21

Right, I am in my PJs - I am drinking tea - I am wearing my actual guise - I don't want to lie any more.

mumineedawee · 27/04/2012 23:22

Room for a little 'un?

Having problems with cravings.

Gave in tonight after 14 days free.

Am half way through a bottle now. :(

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:27

I can't lie - I never could.

Hello Mum

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:31

I am going to neck a codeine with my tea though.

mumineedawee · 27/04/2012 23:35

Ommmm.... codeine.

curiousinterloper · 27/04/2012 23:36

Hey spiderslegs,
A curve ball here (I never usually post), but I thought you might want to chat? How are doing now?

curiousinterloper · 27/04/2012 23:37

Hello mumin too Smile

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:40

Curious - I'm ok - I generally am - I really am - it's been a long haul - but thanks

mumineedawee · 27/04/2012 23:41

any advice?
Am loving the wine feeling?!

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:41

Thanks for the curve ball though - I appreciate them.

curiousinterloper · 27/04/2012 23:43

Cool Smile. Me too, generally, but my long-haul is pretty crap. I need to kick the booze and have finally booked a doc's appointment, on Monday. Posted on here a while back and it's taken me this long to book the doc's appointment! But I've done it!

Take care with the codeine and the booze?? Not good bed fellows I think?

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:44

& Curious - you are right - I do want to chat- prescient.

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:45

Yep - not good bedfellows - you are right - I often wake up fearing.

curiousinterloper · 27/04/2012 23:45

Mumin how far down the bottle are you now? After 14 days though? Which is fantastic Grin Can you do the drill the Babes talk of? (Brush teeth, into PJ's, into bed etc.).
Why did you start cutting down in the first place?

Spiderslegs · 27/04/2012 23:47

& I dread the Doc's app - I have one due - i know they are going to tell me horrid things.
