Planning to walk away from everything for the weekend

Hello, I'm back to tell you that I've had enough and I need everything to stop for a bit. I'm planning on going away for the weekend, leaving the husband with the kids, going to the shop and not coming back.

I don't know where to go but I can think of a few places where I could turn up and try my luck, I don't drive so I will need to take money from my husbands wallet and take my debit card for paying for somewhere to stay. The kids can go to MIL she's really good with them and I'll let my church know I'm alive and intend on staying that way. I need to take a bag with me with essentials and iron clothes for the boys and DH for church on Sunday, will aim to get back Sunday PM. I can't cope any other way.

What is it that's getting too much for you?

Do you want to talk?

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:37

I'm not sure really, I just need everything to stop, especially my marriage, I just need to press pause. I hate the thought of leaving the DC but I don't feel like I have a choice anymore, thanks for replying dulcegusto

Have you told you dh how you feel? Or is there anyone in rl you can talk to?

puds11 · 30/03/2012 20:47

did you post about this before?
About them not noticing if you left?

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:47

DC's both toddlers and there's no way I can tell the husband, I've got to sort the house out a bit tonight and figure out where to stay, if I stay local then I know that I can be back for the DC's I just can't face life right now Sad

puds11 · 30/03/2012 20:51

ah right ok. Is the time away to plan how you are going to leave permanently, or is there a chance after having a break, you will be ok with your husband?
Will you tell them where you are going?

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:51

They did come round but it's my husbands choice to change x

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:52

oh love. i am sorry.

maybe you could go to women's aid in the next town/city?
they won't know you, and at least you'll be away for a while. and maybe there will be someone there who can just hold your hand for a bit.

just an idea. just want you to be safe x

Dozer · 30/03/2012 20:53

OP, please don't do anything to hurt yourself, seek help in RL, take a break if you need to. Your DC love and need you.

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:53

Yep, on sertraline 150mg, don't think it helps much but I'm willing to try anything!

OP posts:
beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:54

oik can you just turn up? I don't know much about women's aid

OP posts:
Dozer · 30/03/2012 20:55

Do you have anyone nearby you could visit for some support?

If not, then women's aid or a health service.

puds11 · 30/03/2012 20:55

could you go and see your vicar for some extra guidence/councel?
You do sound very sad and im concerned for your safety. Do you have a friend you could go hide with?

amillionyears · 30/03/2012 20:55

Can you just stay with a friend for the weekend.Lots of people go away for short breaks. When my kids were young ,I often went away for a few days. It gave me and everyone a break.
Dont know your previous postings.

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:55

dozer I won't do anything to harm myself that's why I'm going away, I can't come back if I'm dead x

OP posts:
beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:57

If I stayed with anyone I know my DH would find me, my friends are all from church and would ring the elders and DH would be contacted again x

Dozer · 30/03/2012 20:58

Oh beautiful, am so sorry things are so bad. Not seen your posts, but please be safe and remember that you are a good person who is loved.

Can we help somehow? Look up numbers of services for you?

beautifulwho · 30/03/2012 20:58

My DH has never had the boys on his own before so I know that his mum will come over to help out

Depression makes thoughts go funny.Dont make any important decisions while you are depressed.
Take a break. Everybody has breaks from time to time, even if they have small children. It is vital for everybody.
