The Brave Babes Battle Bus - Giving Up Booze For Lent.

Mouseface · 25/03/2011 21:01

Hello.

I'm Mouse. Smile

We are a Bus load of posters with various relationships with the demon booze. Some are sober, some are not and some are inbetween.

So come say hi and meet the rest of The Babes, there's always plenty of room on the Bus, the doors are ALWAYS open.

No judgy pants are worn on this journey, pants yes and even the odd Tena Lady but always of the non judging variety. Grin

mouse - was the photo actually of different stuff, or was it just very artfully displayed? If the former, it's misrepresentation; seller is in breach of contract and you should set ebay on them.

mouseface · 06/04/2011 18:22

'set ebay on them' Grin

I like you Trist, I really do! I have sent the seller a shitty email telling them that they have 24 hours to resolve the situation. They have misrepresented an item they have sold and that should they choose not to refund me the full amount plus the £12 P&P, I shall make a formal complaint to ebay and their resolution centre.

I'm just bloody upset as I was so excited for Nemo, you know?

I sing in a choir too, I used to hit the wine afterwards but singing is a great release/relaxant all by itself so I find that night fairly easy most weeks, also going to practice keeps you busy for most of the evening.

jesuswhatnext · 06/04/2011 19:52

i wish i had known about choirs when i was drinking! - they sound really boozy! Grin i can warble, you should hear me in the bath! Grin

well, i have made little smoked salmon pinwheels, tiny blini with pate and olives, tiny parmesan biscuits with cream cheese and little finger egg sandwiches, they are plated on to mirror platters and the mocktail bar is set up under the bus awning! Grin jeeves is just waiting for your order! Grin - i also have some lovely lepoard print wraps for when is chilly!

so come babes! lets PARRRRTTTTTYYYY!!!

dementedma · 06/04/2011 20:00

PARTY!!!!!!
I'm here and OMG I have had the mother of all wobbles tonight. I had warned DH this morning not to buy me any booze so thankfully there was none in but i sooooo wanted some and the little voice said that no-one would
know and I didn't even have to go online tonight etc etc and I swear, SWEAR, the only thing that has kept me off it was not wanting to let anyone down on here, especially Thornrose. I gulped a tonic and lime like a drowing person gulping for air and hurled myself into the bath.
Am now in clean pjs, all scrubbed and clean and the urge is fading. thank you all so much.
Now, I'll have another lime and tonic please and a couple of those there pinwheels if you don't mind.
Where are all the party people?

jesuswhatnext · 06/04/2011 20:02

hi ma!, you look nice!, do you come here often? Grin

dementedma · 06/04/2011 20:07

well yes, actually I do Blush
are those pyjamas sik? I feel quite under-dressed.
so, are we expecting a good crowd?

Rubyredlips · 06/04/2011 20:13

hi all. Are we wearing PJ's to this party then?
I've brought along a beauty therapist so we can have a treat each. Who wants to go first?
Ma sounds like you might be the most in need Smile

dementedma · 06/04/2011 20:24

Humph Rubyred, and just what are you trying to imply??

although I wouldn't say no to a head massage.....................

Tristmum · 06/04/2011 20:25

Can I have a manicure please? Damaged my nails beating the living daylights out of that cushion.

thornrose · 06/04/2011 20:25

Hi all, I tried to be late so I could make a grand entrance Grin
Now I have a small confession - I took daughter and friend to a pub with garden for early dinner. I had a Corona. However, when I went to get desserts I didn't have cash and was under minimum to use card. Barman asked do I want anything else to bring it up to a fiver, ie a drink, I said no. I hot footed it out of there after dessert and took the girls to the park.
I am not drinking any more this evening.

Tristmum · 06/04/2011 20:28

Hello Rose; well done on scarpering. Care for a blini?

thornrose · 06/04/2011 20:29

ma this thread is great. I too felt like I would be letting people down if I drank which is weird but a good feeling.

thornrose · 06/04/2011 20:30

Would love one thanks.
I'm up for a pedicure, I might get out the sandals tomorrow and my toe nails are naked and a disgrace!

munkymaz · 06/04/2011 20:34

ma Rose well done the pair of you! Soz but I've scoffed all the cheese and pineapple that Isindie pre-prepared.........garlic bread anyone?

jesuswhatnext · 06/04/2011 20:34

oohhhh lovely! treatments! Grin, i would like a deep condition on my ends! the peroxide makes tehm quite dry! as we speak, the bath is running, my face amsk is cooling in the fridge and i have got my nail stuff ready and legally blonde is showing in the background! Blush - could someone pass me a crisp please?

rose - well done you!

oops, must go and turn the bath off, back in a bit!

jesuswhatnext · 06/04/2011 20:35

that is 'them' and 'mask' of course! Grin

mouseface · 06/04/2011 20:35

Best I could manage after the day I've bloody had. On my third N&DL stocked full of ice.

Evening Babes, you all look scrummy. Do you like my designer jog on look? I have no matching jammies so it's navy sweat pants and a pink t-shirt here.

I'm bloody boiled! Think I'm on the change!
