Hello.

I'm Mouse. Smile

We are a Bus load of posters with various relationships with the demon booze. Some are sober, some are not and some are inbetween.

So come say hi and meet the rest of The Babes, there's always plenty of room on the Bus, the doors are ALWAYS open.

No judgy pants are worn on this journey, pants yes and even the odd Tena Lady but always of the non judging variety. Grin

...so is the bus taking a detour to the Posh Hat Shop then ??

MIFLAW · 05/04/2011 15:49

JWN

congratulations on your impending mother-in-lawdom - this will give you a chance to appear on a few other threads ...

Cailin

Sadly i am a man, so two things you must know about MIFLAW; first, he is ... a man! And second, he is .... well, wise is a big word. Let's say that by making lots of mistakes many times I was ready to be taught to stop making them.

jesuswhatnext · 05/04/2011 15:50

i have no idea isindi - this is dd we are talking about - apperantly the wedding will be a country war time theme! Confused, she wants old wartime vehicles, vintage wedding dress, fish and chips in the paper (i have a feeling she has been thinking about this for some time! Wink) - i have to scan some old wedding photos for ideas i think!

jesuswhatnext · 05/04/2011 15:53

NO! no hat!, i look like a mushroom in a hat! Grin

MIF! you cheeky sod! i aim to be a wonderful MIL (provided he does as hes told Grin)

mouseface · 05/04/2011 15:55

What the Jeff!!!??????????

JWN - that's fantastic news, oh I am sssooooooooooooooo made up for you. What a lovely announcement. You do realise don't you that from here on in, we simply have to know every single detail!

Congratulations to your beautiful daughter. Smile

IsinDe - in my head I'm there, sat in the sunshine. I'm justt having one of those years days. I won't go for it, the getting wasted thing, but if I could just switch off, just for a while, I don't know, a medically induced sleep, for about a month, that would do.

Getting wasted would make life worse x 100000000 right now. Luckily, I can see that before picking up a glass. And for that, I'm glad and lucky I guess.

I know lots of us have days like this, I don't often but sometimes, some days I just want 5 mintues peace.

i am going to be a sober mother of the bride!, what a fantastic incentive for me! - seriously, i was in danger of loosing this moment - it just dosent bear thinking about - dd wants me involved, i cant tell you all how happy that make me!

off for a little cry!, back in a bit!

mouseface · 05/04/2011 16:03

SadSmile Happy tears for you sweetheart, I am so totally made up for you.

Did you know I was a florist for 4 years? Would you like me to have a look at traditional/older style flowers, what was around during wartime? I'd be happy to do some research for you and DD. Smile

I bet your heart is just full to bursting! xx

thank you for the offer mouse - luckily my dm is a specialist wedding florist - she only does about 6 a year, mostly for footballers Hmm, sometimes the same ones come back for the 2nd time round! Grin - i think she is beside herself with excitment with the ideas running round her head! Grin

as for you mousie mouse, hang on in there!, give our little soldier a kiss from me!

jesuswhatnext · 05/04/2011 16:16

oh, btw, sorry ladies!, didnt mean to have you flung about quite so much! Grin, you may now pick up the contents of your handbags!

mouseface · 05/04/2011 16:28

His face was like this ======> Confused

Grin

No worries re the flowers, I just thought I'd ask. I'm glad you have an expert to hand. BTW, your DM would only need to do 6 per year if footballers are paying, we're talking tens of thousands! Well, that's what they used to pay where I worked.

Numpties have more money than sense!

you aint wrong mouse! - the flower budget for these weddings is more than the budget for dds entire wedding! Shock - dm really enjoys doing it as she gets to handle the most wonderful amount of flowers and create the most fantastic arrangements and she gets paid to do it! Grin - i think her supplier must rub his hands together when she calls!

Thanks for the welcome back mouse. I'm sorry to hear little Nemo is having a tough time. Sending hugs to you both (and of course your DD and DP!)

My God, I had forgotten how quickly this thread moves.... I feel amazingly positive just being back on...I know how much easier my life is when I don't drink....I just need to keep hold of that feeling a few weeks down the line. The last month or so I have felt everything starting to spiral again - not coping with work, house is a tip, kids eating crap......
So, onwards and upwards!

Hi the everyone else, old and new.
Fantastic news Jesus - I can't imagine being at that stage, but you sound so very proud od your DD - A think of the outfit you will need!!

mouseface · 05/04/2011 17:23

Oh Jeff, that's what we're going to get isn't it? A blow by blow hourly account of wedding bliss Grin

witchety - it's really nice to see you back. I know that should be a bad thing, that you need help again I mean, but I like familar faces, makes me feel safe IYKWIM, and that's what this Bus is all about.

I'm getting over my wobble, just taken Nemo and the wolfcub out for some air. Cleared my head a bit.

Oh, and just booked a holiday. We are all going to be together for a whole week, in a nice converted Chapel...... eeeeekkk!......... just the four of us, no phones, hospital appts, nurses, physio, case workers or anyone but US.

I can't wait. Smile

Lovely news JWN Grin - congratulations to you and your family!

May I suggest giving her a ration book for buying the wedding essentials? Wink

Mouse - you were so kind to me the other day; I'm far too bally English to do the whole cyber hugging thing with any conviction, but FWIW, I have a huge amount of admiration for you, and I hope that you don't have too long to wait for your holiday.

JWIM · 05/04/2011 17:35

JWN congratulations to DD and SonIL to be.

Mouse I do hope the nurse is able to help - and wish for warmer weather so that Nemo's breathing eases and you all get some rest. Good to hear about a holiday to look forward to too.

Wedding fever seems to have taken hold on the bus - lots to look forward to - can't wait to hear about the shoes JWN. Am 'seeing' something elegant to set off a seemed stocking!

JWIM · 05/04/2011 17:36

sorry 'seamed' stocking!
