Well all is well here , was trying to explain why it means so much to me that I liked my buyers to the dc this morning they think I am bonkers. More to the point they are super keen to move so as I am in a tiny chain I am almost counting my chickens. Read on a thread on Lone Parents yesterday this woman sounding overjoyed at moving into her own house and I thought oooh that will be me soon

So I have been knocking off lots of chores including securing xhs help in removing tvs off walls etc . Also have an appointment at my new sols next week to petition for divorce so whilst thats a nasty job at least its in hand now.

DC came home from school after staying at xhs for the first time since bust up last week and in my new dont interfere/smooth over I limited myself to asking how it had gone but in a dont need the detail way iyswim ? Anyway ds said it was all fine and when I caught dd later she said fine and then casually mentioned she hadnt spoken a word to ow nor ow to dd . Anyway I mustered dumpling power and refrained from commenting but thought wtf that shitty bitch didnt even apologise to my dd for her behaviour. Well I wish her luck with future relations with dd as they were on thin ice before and dd is tough as nails and hope it causes lots of rows between xh and her hope she lets it go soon

Anyway its dds birthday on sunday so I have been sorting her pressies and food for a bunch of her friends coming tomorrow. Buying foundation and mascara isnt nearly so much fun as toys so those with younger dc enjoy it while you can.

Just had xh on the phone acting like a proper wa*er again! Surprise, surprise! Tbh I had noticed the change in him over the past week or so. He's suddenly obsessed again with making money etc. I think maybe he's worried that any clearance checks done on him atm will pull up both the previous case & the ones pending. I'm only guessing this but anyway he started to say how Judge & police superintendant can't understand why cases are going ahead As if!! It's the police that are charging him & Judge did not look on him favourably the last time so that's hardly changed. He started on about how he'd discovered the REAL truth over the past few weeks He was back on about vendettas & police conspiracies to "get him". I just said look that's your own responsibility, he ended up banging down the phone! He rang again a few mins later with another sarcy comment but I just said have a nice day! So much for the man who was sorry for what he'd inflicted on me & dc's & was going to plead guilty!! Fukwit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Party preparations are continuing here. On one level I am v organized (especially with the music!). On another level I am crapping myself as have asked a lot of people having got a little carried away. Have just found out that rocker from old well known band is coming and now wondering whether my old Human League hits will work for the audience. I will just have to spend some more time on Spotify I guess and maybe mman can help me out.
I have never really done a party like this before and certainly not as a lone parent. Ah well, I seem to be better at this than at divorcing anyway.
