I tend to look on the dark side anyway - so dh would never dare anything like this. He is still sometimes uncontactable (is that a word?) at times but always makes sure he lets me know if not beforehand then after what he is up to.

Hello, it was a beautiful bracelet that I had admired in a jewelers window ages ago. Can't believe he remembered it. Have had the best weekend, missed the kids though, how sad am I!!

Can I just have a little moment on your thread please? Last night we had friends round for dinner. Wonderful night but I sloped off to bed at 2 while the rest stayed up. I heard my dh explaining why he loved me so much, and that it was a magnetic charisma I had. He said that for a little while at the beginning he almost resented it, was jealous of my ability to draw people to me. But when he fell in love with me, it was precisely for this reason.

I was lying awake listening and can I say, it was like being read a love letter. It made my heart leap to hear him be so lovely about me, after all these years.

There are some wonderful men out there girls.
