Which is news to me Hmm

He left as usual this morning.

This is not like him at all, he is the most honest, trustworthy man I've ever known, so what the hell is he up to?

Phone his mobile but no answer

VinegaRigamorTits · 22/10/2010 13:17

is he home yet?

colditz · 22/10/2010 13:18

maybe he was at a prostate appointment. men often seem to need to keep these secret so their wives don't worry their 'pretty little heads'

ManiDeadi · 22/10/2010 13:18

Sorry to hear that your baby is also playing up - not conducive to having a reasoned, calm conversation!

I'm sure he will have a good explanation, but if you do think there is something fishy, make sure you don't just let it go.

Good luck x

colditz · 22/10/2010 13:20

Then again, I am extremely suspicious and I would watch him very carefully when he comes in with his explaination as to why he felt the need to take the day off work without telling you, and go somewhere a 10 minute drive away.

Please do update us.

PfftTheMildySpookyDragon · 22/10/2010 13:20

lets hope so, pomkins!

blackwell · 22/10/2010 13:21

I think it could easily be nothing.

SuePurblybilt · 22/10/2010 13:22

Marking place, I need to know.

bumpybecky · 22/10/2010 13:23

hope his explanation doesn't take too long!

thisisyesterday · 22/10/2010 13:23

yeah maybe it was a doctor's appt? and he was going to go to work after but isn't now as you've phoned

NoahAndTheWhale · 22/10/2010 13:25

Hope it is all all right.

ManiDeadi · 22/10/2010 13:26

ManiDeadi · 22/10/2010 13:26

Grin I mean

FakePlasticTrees · 22/10/2010 13:27

marking my place - I really hope it's nothing much - but feel free to make sure he knows he's in serious trouble!

BinkyNic · 22/10/2010 13:30

I had an 'out of office' email from my hubby a few years ago when he hadn't told me he was taking the day off. Called him up, and he was in the queue for Britain's Got Talent!

Whippet · 22/10/2010 13:30

Poor man... imagine the comment..
"But I (and 5,000 other women) wanted to KNOW where you've been...

AScaryFuckingLemonadeDrinker · 22/10/2010 13:31

pmsl @ binky! What was his talent? Grin

Oh I am so impatient nosey concerned, hurry back soon :)

2rebecca · 22/10/2010 13:32

He maybe fancied a day off without having to babysit.
My bloke sometimes takes the day off work without telling me and I do the same. Sometimes it's nice to have a day to yourself without having to do jobs or family stuff.
I'd have just waited for him to come home, but then I'm not a worrier.

phipps · 22/10/2010 13:33
wallababy · 22/10/2010 13:33

This is so intruiging!!

KatieScarlett2833 · 22/10/2010 13:34

DH encourages me to go AWOL (let the GP's look after the kids while I am allegedly working)he thinks I'm norty.

spookyhalloweenFluffypomkins · 22/10/2010 13:35

Pinkjenny · 22/10/2010 13:36
ManiDeadi · 22/10/2010 13:36

You do all realise we are going to waiting ages Grin!

She's unlikely to hear the explanation (whatever it is) and then pop straight back on here to update us............

LolsMummy · 22/10/2010 13:36

Hope all is ok, you'll have to let us al know his secret!!

Whippet · 22/10/2010 13:37

I remember doing this occasionally when I was working and DS was at nursery. If I had a meeting in a town elsewhere I would take a half day afterwards and just go and chill around the shops/ have a coffee etc. I justified them as my 'sanity' days... when I could escape for a couple of hours and not feel accountable to anyone. I used to enjoy the 'excitement' of nobody knowing exactly where I was... Sounds slightly pathetic now!
