I'll just have to start one then.

lol maryann -it was dire.. I was almost grateful for teh episode down on tedium farm lasts night although it did have WAY too much helen in it for my liking.

poppy34 · 16/09/2008 19:18

gar...susan - why is her ignorance in direct proportion to her ability to speak up ? plus given how stupid she is why would anyone give airtime to her opinions? .. I hope tonights episode doesn't herald a new outbreak of digester/pip storylines...

LittleBella · 16/09/2008 19:20

LOl it was the first time I've ever liked Susan tonight! Annabel's worst nightmare

TsarChasm · 16/09/2008 19:24

Oh god the Pat/Tony/Matt/random sausage references/mortgage/digester storyline should be used in hospitals as anaesthetic.

I've completely lost the thread of it.

Lilymaid · 16/09/2008 19:37

Interested that the new large vocal lady who apparently harrangued Deeevid at the Parish Council meeting last week was strangely silent on air this week - yet another of the Ambridge silent brigade (Freda Fry et al).

boogeek · 17/09/2008 18:47

What was that today? David saying he wished Annabel would hold his hand fnar fnar. To Ruth? WTF?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/09/2008 18:49

sorry going back to Sunday, huge vomit at the over indulgent Alan for his new bride.

poppy34 · 17/09/2008 19:33

teh less of the newly weds the better.. even susan is preferable - have not heard tonight as started off with lizzy and that is enough to make anyone run off to the fridge in search of wine

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/09/2008 19:48

Ah, I started the wine before I listened DD in bed and DH is sorting out DS while I sort out supper.

poppy34 · 17/09/2008 20:42

lucky you..we're back on unsettled evenings here

wtfhashappened · 17/09/2008 20:55

I am LOVING this thread! HATE HATE HATE the dry stone walling thing - pompous stone layer does public education thing - soooooo dull. Hate Helen more than anyone else - do like Clarrie, and although I am only in my 30s can remember them courting. 'Oh Eddie, my lips is numb with kissing'
when ds2 was 3 the cd player packed up at his party during pass the parcel, so DS1 volunteered to sing and stop in various places, and chose the Archers theme tumne, much to my friends' disgust...

oh, and quick boast, I have met the real PW and he is vv funny and not at all like willyum

boogeek · 17/09/2008 22:14

While we are on the topic of stone walling, why did Hayley have to have a go?
(and am I alone in wondering whether the actress is going to have to impersonate the real hayley - the one who went to be Dawn in the office then to Hollywood to be a star etc - forever? You can just tell it is a strain.)

MaryAnnSingleton · 17/09/2008 22:39

boogeek that's exactly what I was thinking !

ipanemagirl · 18/09/2008 09:15

me too MAS and boogeek, it was a little plot flag waving that I almost missed!

I just overdosed on all of it by hearing too many repeats and the Sunday omnibus and just had enough!!!

(no news MAS)!

poppy34 · 18/09/2008 10:07

god knows what point of dragging poor innocent hayley into the stone wall plot (I like hayley..she is like some kind of thomas hardy character who having lost the lovely john ended up married to the charmless nark roy)

but agree that the new actress impersonation is very odd

TsarChasm · 18/09/2008 13:04

Does anyone else snigger childishly when they mention Nigel's HarHar? (probably incorrect spelling)

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/09/2008 14:50

yes !!
hi ipanema - your baby missed being born on my bday ! hope all well

poppy34 · 18/09/2008 14:53

ohhh ipanemagirl are you waiting for an arrival?

can I recommend that you put any of the episodes on tedium farm or involving the remaking of nigels ha ha as a form of anaesthesia?

poppy34 · 18/09/2008 21:18

can;t believe no one has posted... poor Matt tonight!

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/09/2008 21:28

I'm waiting until tomorrow at 2pm !

boogeek · 19/09/2008 10:07

Ooh I didn't hear it - what happened?

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/09/2008 14:18

poor Tiger - his mum isn't that bothered about seeing him again ...Pip is a tiresome little girl but put old Susan in her place today

LittleBella · 19/09/2008 18:59

Oh gawd

first there was Sid's daughter, whose name escapes me

then there was kate

now there is alice

FiveGoMadInDorset · 19/09/2008 19:02

They are all such NIMBY's

I feel very sorry for Matt and thought it was beautifully and sensitively played by all the actors involved.

LittleBella · 19/09/2008 19:27

yes
very well done
