I'll just have to start one then.

matt and lilian make it worht listening to...

I was torn between irritation on the pip/ruth storyline wiht the fact that I did think it amuising she'd called a spade a spade (ie susan smug and complacent)

traceybath · 19/09/2008 20:02

Poor matt - i do love tiger and pussycat.

And Pip - oooohhh she needs a jolly good talking to from her parents about her rudeness.

Think she will drop out big time and go off with some eco/environmental type travellers - they've been hinting at that for a while methinks.

moodlumthehoodlum · 19/09/2008 20:09

I missed Thursday and tonight's really. poor tiger. I loathe Pipsqueak and Susan.

Bluestocking · 19/09/2008 20:27

Thank heavens, they've saved the TEAs - by inventing something that sounds remarkably like money.

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/09/2008 20:37

bluestocking !

LittleBella · 19/09/2008 21:08

oh yes it's not alice is it it's pip

they have the same character every 10 years.

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/09/2008 14:47

arghh - Alice !! spoilt brat grates in every way - her voice ! her attitude ! gah !!!!

poppy34 · 25/09/2008 14:23

NIC IS BACK - talkign to helen (is there a more painful combo)? ... FFS Why?

and I can understand the temptaiton for jack to lock peggy out hte house -i'd have done it years ago (although full marks to brian for being so good sorting it out... brian might not be able to keep it zipped up but stil more entertaining than most of the dullards and he does have the mil from hell)

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/09/2008 15:43

arf poppy - I was going to say exactly the same about the loathsome Helen/Nic combo and that Mr Woolley should have locked Peggy out of the house long ago. I expect he's longing to be put in a care home.

fishie · 25/09/2008 15:44

nic is back? i miseed last night. how interesting, i always wondered why she vanished so utterly.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/09/2008 14:06

arghhh ! PHOEBE SPEAKS

OliviaMumsnet · 29/09/2008 19:41

Have missed a couple of weeks and find the written synopses hard work to read.

Please, someone, put me out of my misery! What's happened to Fallon after Ed broke her rock'n'roll heart? She really was such an innocent party in all of that.

Is she just gigging to get over him?

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 30/09/2008 10:07

I've been listenening on and off and am not altogether sure about what Fallon is up to...she hasn't been on for a while,so I imagine she's off with her band

R4 · 30/09/2008 11:05

Fallon was the innocent party but ... if she hadn't been off having such fun with the band would Ed have gone back to Emmur? IIRC Ed seemed to think that Fallon's commitment to the band was outweighing her commitment to him (although he knew this was wrong wrong wrong and struggled with his feelings).

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/09/2008 11:13

I think Fallon was just a stop gap with Ed - he was never over Emmur

OliviaMumsnet · 30/09/2008 12:07

Oh it was so obvious that Fallon was Ed's "transitional person" but I liked them together. Emmurr is trouble with a capital T. As is that Christophurr.

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 30/09/2008 14:59

oh I quite like Christophurr, despite his taste in women (Alice) and his dreadful mother, he is a decent boy...ooer,looks as though he's giving up on bell ringing !!

poppy34 · 30/09/2008 21:40

I love fallon ..but of course why give her airtime when you can have plenty of airtime involving ruth and the bio diogester...

DuffyMoon · 01/10/2008 07:41

Ia anyone a member of Archers Anarchists???

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/10/2008 12:06

gah ! I felt quite sorry for Peggy today, which is weird (omnibus) ...

2Eliza2 · 07/10/2008 14:30

I have just found out that Patricia Gallimore who plays Pat Archer is reading my novel, Playing with the Moon, in the unabridged audio book version.

It's a strange moment. Kind of art and life colliding. I suppose I COULD imagine Pat Archer liking that kind of novel, though it does deal with the death of a son so it might be a bit painful for her, what with losing John, and...

STOP.

poppy34 · 07/10/2008 16:49

lol at 2eliza2..although I don't think any conversation that involves helen or tom doesn't have me thinking that the best of that family died under a tractor..

and maryann.. tell me you don't feel sorry for peggy after her usual badger like antics yesterday - was at radio (well as angry as you can be whilst you're trying to settle a baby)

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/10/2008 16:55

Eliza - how exciting ! (just checked your book out on the Macmillan website !) wouldn't it be really weird if Pat Archer mentioned it in the Archers as something she'd been reading and it made her think of John !!
poppy I haven't heard that episode yet !!!!!

retiredgoth · 07/10/2008 17:06

.......I am growing concerned by Jennifer's voice. It seems to increase in pitch with every moment that Alice toys with breaking the Archers class barrier (rich man in his castle, well, Greygables, poor man at the Bull......)

......soon her every utterance will summon dolphins and scare listening dogs.....
