Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.
14.1 Rex is left confused, and Neil has questions.
15.1 The verdict is in for Kirsty, and Brian finds himself out of his comfort zone.

George is going to attack Brad. In trying to escape, Brad will be critically injured - and may not survive.

This is AWFUL.

I was hoping it wouldn't be that, but it does sound a distinct possibility. I assume Amber is going to dump George, Brad will be torn, George will see or hear something and jump to a conclusion, etc etc.

Also, the unexpected news - Fallon pregnant?

75th anniversary, and yet, over NY not a single character bearing the Archer surname appears in the cast.

George isn't in the New Year cast list.

Well spotted, Totters. There are people with Archer blood, but in a tiny minority. We might as well follow Neil Kinnock's suggestion and rename it The Grundys and Their Oppressors.

I’d be fine with Brad being dedded by George (oh, try to contain your astonishment). Think of what that will do in terms of of Emmur and Ed’s social acceptability. It gets rid of George for a good long stretch, the shame will probably silence Susan and it might kill Neil, and with any luck gobby Tracy and adenoidal Chelsea will be too hard to write as grieving and will therefore not appear very often for a good long time. What’s not to like?
They’ll cock it up, of course.

Well, after tonight’s episode I am, with reluctance, plumping for George in the hospital bed and Brad keeping vigil.

They certainly are. Some of us are still not over Nigel's death 15 years ago. This means Henry is almost 15, btw.

Oh, let's think big: the one who is dying is Bert Horrobin, and that leaves his room free for Brad and Amber. It even has an en suite bathroom.

(No, I don't think Brad fancies Amber nor vice versa, but why would I let that get in the way of a bit of completely uninformed speculation?)

Definitely prefer George in hospital. Maybe Harrison will put him there!

'31.12 George goes on the rampage' is a bit odd if he's not on the cast list for that week. Surely they wouldn't do that off-screen (off-speaker?).

Harrison being sent to prison would be good

@Agapornis , the spoilers cast list sometimes has omissions.

I think the Bull mentions mean Fallon and Harrison are going to take over or at least buy into the business.

Or that they hire proper, professional security - and not before time!

Not looking forward to Hannah’s wardrobe malfunction during the tractor parade …
