Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.
14.1 Rex is left confused, and Neil has questions.
15.1 The verdict is in for Kirsty, and Brian finds himself out of his comfort zone.

Apparently a people carrier can take up to 9 people. So, farewell then ... well, faites vos jeux.

I'd assume Jakob is a careful driver, which bodes well for the Kate gang. But I hope for the sake of the Scottish castle-ette that they've insisted on advance payment in full.

The spoilers from the missing week have finally appeared. There's a lovely surprise in the cast list (for me, anyway)! Presumably the celebs from The Traitors had to draw lots for who would do the Archers crossover.

Glad to see Phoebe there too. Wasn't her partner called James or something? His name is somewhere on the other threads. Didn't think it was Finlay. I'd also hope she is far too sensible to entertain a man twice her age.
I'm not sure I've ever heard Leonie! She's visited once or twice since I started listening in 2010, but I think she was a silent and her presence was merely described (negatively). Suspect she'll be a traitor...

Kirsty surely qualifies as (a) the temporary landlady of Alice's ex-husband, (b) the former fiancee of Tom and (c) Helen's only friend.

Whoops ... I knew it was one of the Seemingly Pointless Women.

Neither Cursedy or Fallon are pointless. Cursedy is a catalyst character, and is connected to several characters and SLs. Fallon makes exceedingly good bakes despite AFAIK having had no training whatsoever in catering.

Cursedy is Denise's landlady.

The RT for next week doesn't add much to what we'd surmise anyway, I suspect. Are Tony and Lilian going to fall out over WhatsApp? Tony and Pat are not going, which makes the whole thing seem even odder and more pointless than it did to begin with. Still, good to hear Leonie again. I'd failed to spot her name in the cast as I was reeling from seeing MB's name there. It is indeed a pity we won't be able to see him, but I have a vivid imagination.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 16-21 November
It's the bickerfest that is the Peggy Woolley Memorial Family Holiday and naturally all goes awry in Scotland (listen out for a Traitorous guest voice). Justin ventures out of his comfort zone on an adventure with Natasha. Tony reflects on his mother's legacy, which causes a rift with Lilian, while Phoebe and Kate's expectations cause friction.

Could Finlay be Phoeble's partner? I don't remember his name ever being mentioned.

It was mentioned and it sounded both Scottish and current, but I can't confirm that it was Finley.

I thought it did, though I don't know how that could be enforced. Perhaps the next sentence said "Otherwise you'll ALL be disinherited", in which case you'd expect it to have been mentioned.

I am fairly sure he is called Brodie.

I'm hoping that the consequence of disregarding the terms of the will is that the executors refuse to cough up. I really will enjoy hearing them all screeching at the prospect of having to pay for their own holiday.
