Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.
14.1 Rex is left confused, and Neil has questions.

Oh super - just start listening again after weeks and I’m going to be subjected to that

Not for a couple of weeks. Whoever Esme is, she's in the cast for a third week, so there's that to look forward to.

Am I right in thinking that "new" cast members don't usually get a surname unless they would normally be referred to formally (policeman/clergy/teacher etc).

Could Esme be a probation officer (does George have to have one)?

Evidently thy Amber actress is changing, I wonder is there any significance? Maybe she'll get a bad cold and die of it.

I might have confused myself on the main thread with foster child / Esme. Am I misremembering a comment from here where someone picked up Carly from the cast list and remembered a Sterling foster child of the same name? And there wasn’t one called Esme?

Not that I can recall. I only remember Carly and Bruno.

Just realised last week's cast list was wrong - we heard Joy but she's not credited. Anyway, onwards and just possibly upwards. Surely downwards is scarcely possible.
